Discover a mid-century modern haven at the edge of Birch State Park. This home is as chic as it is fun: explore the waters on the kayaks, host stylish family affairs in the sophisticated dining area or screened-in porch. When you’re ready to explore, the beach—home to Fort Lauderdale’s beloved sea turtles—is just a short stroll away. And so are an array of restaurants serving up everything from casual pub grub to seashore fine dining.
From a screened-in porch with lake views to a sleek and sunny dining area with an expandable table for ten, there are plenty of places to come together and share meals or make memories. Whip up a seafood feast in a chef-worthy kitchen with a full suite of Viking appliances. Let your sous chefs snack and sip wine at the center island.
Beach vibes abound in the open-concept living area, where you can kick back and admire the lake or snuggle up for a nighttime movie. When you’re craving fresh air, bring a picnic out to the grassy yard, take the kayaks for a spin on the lake, or totally unwind in the brand new Heated Pool
With five bedrooms and four baths, every guest will have their own private space to unwind at the end of a day in the sun. You’ll find two bedroom suites with full baths on the first floor—one with a queen and one with a queen and full. Two bedrooms on the second floor—one with a queen and one with a queen and full—share a full bath.
The second floor master bedroom steals the show with floor-to-ceiling views of Birch State Park and sliding door access to a vast deck. Sprawl out in a king-size bed and get ready for the day in an en-suite bath with shower and double vanity.

I had 11 teenagers and myself celebrating both my daughters birthday. Everything was exactly as described. Parents who dropped their kids off came in to see the house. They loved it too! We felt safe. It was clean. Decor was beautiful. Backyard was beautiful to look at. Going out on the canoe was a highlight. The walk to the beach only took 2 min.! We will definitely stay here again for the next occasion. And, Ashley was very kind and communicative.

This is a perfect spot not far from the beach- but the old ladies really enjoyed the canoes. The house was everything we wanted -plenty of room(s) for everyone, and it was easy to find a spot to get away and relax.

This was a lovely, very spacious home overlooking a lagoon (Long lake) and a 3 minute walk to the beach! Sitting in the screened porch sipping coffee watching the ducks and bald eagles each morning was beautiful. Ashley responded very quickly to any and all questions. We enjoyed our stay and absolutely recommend this home!

An excellent stay all around! The bedrooms are spacious & very comfortable; the kitchen is large & had everything we needed for cooking, entertaining & grilling. I was surprised by the size of the heated pool - it was larger than the pictures show. Also, there is both shade & sun in & around the pool for the whole day. The patio outside the kitchen sliding doors was in direct sun most of the afternoon (we brought a pop-up tent that helped greatly). A few guests took advantage of the canoe & kayaks and loved paddling around the lagoon. Bring bug spray - the screened-in area on the first level does not keep out no-see-ums (small biting bugs) - about 1/2 of our crew had bites from them in the evenings.
Our hosts were very responsive & extremely accommodating to our needs (thank you to our hosts!).
If you are planning on a trip to the beach from the house, the city of Ft Lauderdale has an excellent website stating what is and is not allowed on the beaches.
We also rented a 6-pass golf cart from a local company for about $100-$150/day.
Lastly, if you are going out for food or drink, I recommend Kim Bokamper's (Sports bar on the intercoastal). It is about 1-2 miles north of the house.

It was our group’s second time staying in this large, well-maintained and equipped house situated on a State Park lagoon and only one block from the beach. That one block from A1A makes it a much quieter and private a place than where we have stayed once before right on A1A. The house interior and backyard/pool are as shown in the photos. We hope to return to this excellent rental in the future.

This home is an easy walk to the beach, it is away from all the hotels so the beach was not crowded. It is located on a quiet street and is a short drive from the airport. The pool is well kept and the property manager was easy to get in touch with. We had 7 in our group and there was plenty of space. We did drive to restaurants at night since there were not many within walking distance but there is a Publix grocery about one mile away and a cluster of restaurants just South on A1A about 1.5 mile walk down by all the hotels.

Great place to stay. Location was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Had water behind the house with kayaks for use. Two of our party did a lot of fishing and caught a number of small bass. Had a party of 8 that fit the house perfectly. Nice small heated pool. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Would recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Six of us had an outstanding long weekend in this beautiful house in an excellent location. We took advantage of the provided kayaks to travel along the lagoon and observe birds and animals. Weather was perfect for the beach so we did not spend a lot of time in the private heated pool but it was nice to have it available. We hope to return to this 5-star property in the future!

All the amenities you could need just like home, pool was great, backing up to the water on the state park was awesome, we spent lots of time fishing and caught lots of fish, a block away from the beach was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

great amenities
This property is just as described. Plenty of room for a large family. The neighborhood is quiet, but is walking distance to bars, restaurants and a state park. The location is a very easy, short walk to the beach. We enjoyed kayaking on the canal behind the house. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets and helmets were provided. There was a lot of seaweed the week we were there, so we were grateful for the pool and screened porch.

This is a beautiful property steps from the beach with a pool and river behind it. We had an amazing time, and I would highly recommend this place to any group looking to have fun in the sun.

Nice house, great location near the beach and state park
The house was pretty much as it was represented in the listing, though some of the furnishings were different. The house was clean and generally well-equipped. We enjoyed the location on the lake and took advantage of the provided canoe and kayaks on several occasions. The screened porch was also a nice retreat for an outdoor meal without concern for rain or bugs. The beach is just one block away and includes lifeguard protection. Note that while beach chairs and umbrellas were provided they are not high quality and are jumbled in a storage shed. We brought our own from home and were glad we did. Beach towels were provided. The beds were comfortable and the provided bath towels were nice, but hand towels were not provided. In the kitchen, there were no dish towels or dish cloths, the owner sent some dish towels via Amazon. The dedicated ice maker was not working properly and was very noisy, so we ended up turning it off. The kitchen was generally well equipped , but not very well organized. For example, all the cooking utensils were crammed into one drawer where it was hard to find what you were looking for. Similarly the pots and pans were not well organized and it was hard to find what was needed. The kitchen could be much better organized since there are many drawers in the large kitchen. Access via the keypad on the door lock was very convenient, however the sliding screen doors to the patio and screen porch did not move well on its tracks, which we reported to the owner. Overall, we would likely stay here again, but the house could use some TLC to make it a true 5 star property. Take a close look at the furniture in the living room in the pictures online. We did not pay much attention to them and found them to be a case of style over function. They look like something from a Star Trek movie, but were not very comfortable for sitting/watching the provided big screen TV.

Ft. Lauderdale Beach House
Great location, truly 1 block walk to the beach. Fun having the little lake in the back yard for kayaking! Kitchen was large with Viking appliances and lots of counter space for cooking. Great bed configuration which allowed for kids to share rooms easily.
