We had a lovely weekend at Alex's home. We had everything we needed as the house was well stocked. Alex was very quick to respond to all our inquiries! We loved the central location and the fireplace was perfect for the cool nights! We hiked, shopped and enjoyed the board games at night! Would recommend!

Our family had a lovely time at Alex's house. It was a base camp for hiking in nearby Taconic State Park and farther away Mt. Greylock. House has a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Great Barrington and Hudson are nearby towns worth visiting.

We enjoyed our stay in the house by the lake. Wood was provided for a beautiful fire in the fireplace. This made all the difference for a cozy afternoon. Everything seemed brand new, and the kitche was well equiped.

The property is even better than the photos. Cozy, clean and spacious! The lake is a short walk away. Perfect location for daily walks with the dog. Owners are very responsive and friendly. It is a gorgeous area!

The stay was very nice. House was well decorated and had everything we needed. Hosts were communicative as well. Only 2 things that were issues for us were the roads approaching the house; they’re not well maintained and are patchy gravel. Second was not knowing the nature of the rooms. The room with 2 twins was in a basement with a very low ceiling and no ac. The fan kept us cool so that was okay, but we were a tall group and it felt frustrating at times to be constantly ducking around. Otherwise, great place!

My friends and I enjoyed the proximity to the lake and the cleanliness of the house. If traveling with a group, bear in mind the property has only one shower, tucked away inside the master bedroom. Most of the sleeping spaces, then, including the loft and the basement, have no shower of their own, though a modest half bath is available off the living room. This was a challenge for our group of five, but nonetheless we appreciated the cozy space and its scenic surroundings.

Unfortunately we didn’t arrive until almost 11pm, there were no outside lights on for us and we were unable to find the key. The host however did get right back to me and explained where the keys were. Not sure when the last time this home was rented but there were spiders and cobwebs everywhere, even a few tiny spiders in our beds. The place was very clean, however the linens didn’t smell fresh. Also did not realize that one of the bedrooms was in the basement, luckily we did not need it. When spending as much as we did you would think someone would have come out to the property before checking in to turn on some lights and give the place a quick once over, aka removing the cobwebs. There were plenty of amenities and the place was decorated very cute. It ended up being a warm weekend and the A/C worked great, just a bit noisy.

This is a cute and cozy place for a family to stay in the area. The stairs upstairs are open on the side, so it was a bit of a hazard for the newly crawling baby. We blocked the walkway from the kitchen so it wasn't a big deal but just a heads up to other mom's. Also both bathrooms are on the main floor. We took some peaceful walks around the neighborhood and down to the lake. You cannot really see the lake from the property unless you really reach to view from the patio. The patio is great - big and spacious. The trees around the property are lovely, you can hear the ducks and geese by the lake and it is really only a couple steps away. There was plenty of fire wood in the backyard. I would definitely stay again. It felt like home and was overall a nice place to use as home base. Restaurant at the golf club was excellent. We were in the area for a funeral so it wasn't a "fun" trip so I don't have much to review about the area.

We enjoyed the beautiful afternoon nights on the deck, and scenic walks in the AM. We drove to the ecclectic town of Hudson , then stopped by Hudson Brewing company . A really lovely weekend !

Lovely lake house!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Copake lake house for five nights. The location was perfect (it is basically as close to the lake as you can be, without being directly lakefront), and convenient to everything. The house was spacious, beautifully decorated and modern. Beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. Having access to a private dock was also a huge plus. The house was quite buggy when we first arrived, but it was right after a storm, and the host immediately sent someone to help address it. We also did not realize that the bedroom upstairs does not have a door, but it is still pretty private. Overall, this house exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely recommend!

Overall, this property was well-furnished, pleasant and appealing. My spouse, sister, nephew and his partner were in the area for a wedding. There were separate spaces for each of us. Although the basement was not great for my sister. My only issue was with the road in. It is more of a gully and only suitable for an off-road vehicle. The owner was easy to contact and tried to accommodate our needs. We broke a globe on a light fixture and worked with him to replace it. We had other family come by for a visit and they were jealous of our accommodations, as their VRBO was not nearly as nice!

Cute cottage for a short getaway. Nicely furnished and well equipped kitchen. A couple of things… we were quite surprised to see that the yard was overgrown with tall weeds — unlike the online photos. The dock area was awkward to access, and it was difficult to tell which was the correct dock, even using the photo.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house was a great size for the two of us and our two small dogs, spotless, and beautifully furnished. It was a bit chilly so we made use of the fireplace each night. During the day, we made day trips to Hudson, Catskill, Bash Bish falls and Great Barrington. The kitchen was really well stocked with every conceivable pot, pan and utensil which was great as we cooked every night. There is a nice master suite with full bath, as well as a half bath on the main floor. There are more beds upstairs and on the lower level, but no bathrooms there (just something to keep in mind if you plan on bringing a number of people). Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, but we really enjoyed this home a lot and wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a relaxing week at this lovely house on Copake Lake. We were out and about a lot, so needed someplace that was convenient, and relaxing when we came home. This house was both. Alejandro and Cindy were welcoming and responsive, and the kitchen was well equipped for easy meals. And, our teen girls liked that they each had their own floor to escape from us!

In the past we have rented many houses so not new to doing this. We found the house immaculate and everything in good if not excellent condition. The house is on a quiet road just off the lake with a very large porch. There were just two of us and our dog, but the place could easily sleep 6. Would definitely recommend.

We had a such a great time at Copake Lake. The house was just as beautiful as in the pictures. It was very clean and well stocked and the owner was very helpful with questions, etc. They have a brand new private dock so we enjoyed our days at the lake. We were there mid-week and it was very quiet. We felt like we had the lake to ourselves except for some occasional skiers. Just be aware that the boat rental place was not able to rent boats out because of Covid19 (as of July 6th). We knew this in advance so we decided to bring our own inflatable kayak. Had a great time!
