Location was great, just opposite the train station. Less than 30mins walk to Zenko-Ji temple.
Room is really quite small, don't carry a big luggage.

Location was superb
Bathroom was far from clean.

Location in relation to bus and railway stations. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Escalator leading to the teception desk has not been repaired. Not easy to lug luggage up the stairs.

literally across the road from Nagano station.
The rooms could be a little cleaner, but they weren’t bad.

it was very close to the train station and restaurants
desperately needs a refit - very old and dated. My room was very small and I could hear anytime someone opened or closed a door to other rooms (which happened a lot) the price was as expensive as a hotel I stayed at in Tokyo that was far better! so was not good value at all. I stayed here in winter and there was a cold draft coming through the window frame - when I mentioned this to the front desk they told me to crank up the heater and offered me an extra blanket or portable heater. looking on the bright side, the room wasn’t stuffy at least… I found hair in the shower from someone else which is probably because the bathroom was so tiny it would be hard to get in there to clean it well. I hate those little bathroom boxes they often have in older Japanese hotels. Overall I did not enjoy my time in this hotel and was glad to only stay one night.

Location is just opposite train/bus station, excellent for travellers with no car, excellent for travellers catching bus to ski resorts that need overnight stay.
Can catch bus to see Snow Monkeys from across the road instead of doing organised tour which is obviously much cheaper option.
Appropriate size room for price
Coffee and tea making facilities in room
Also able to walk to temple from location.
Able to store luggage
Good value for money
Nothing to complain about

Conveniently located across from the Zenjoki entrance/exit of Nagano Station, the hotel has a Family Mart attached to the building as well as a restaurant. Around the corner, you'll find several other restaurants and izakaya to fulfill whatever cravings you may have. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were a bit thin. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating.
The lobby included a shampoo bar offering various types of shampoo for you to use instead of the standard shampoo that was in the room.
When we first entered the room, the cleanliness was lacking. There were several unidentified hairs on the table and a couple of dead insects on the bed. There were puddles of what appeared to be water in the bottom of the fridge.
A big concern was the lack of a security latch on the door. Some of the hardware was there, but the latch itself had been removed.
Our room was on the 4th floor, but we were still able to clearly hear the noises from outside into the night.
The a/c only offered a heat setting, but even on low, it made the room quite hot.

Location was as described ie 250 metres from Nagano Station. Level 10 has a lounge area with district views.
Non smoking areas smelled of cigarette smoke. We booked a double room and we’re given a small bed with one pillow and one towel.

the walls were super thin. could hear everything in the next room

It is centrally located.
The step up from the room to the bathroom was much too high. Going in wasn’t terrible, but coming out I had to hold on to the towel bar, then slowly lower myself to the room floor. I can’t help thinking that every room in the hotel is the same, and what it must be like for people who aren’t as able bodied as I am to have to do that (multiple times) in the middle of the night. Shocking! There should be a step there, which might mean that it would only be possible to open the room door half way. (A good trade-off.)

It is conveniently located across JR Nagano station. The bus stops are right in front of the station. The bed is very comfortable. I had accidently booked a smoking room but I was able to change to a non-smoking room the next day.
The bathroom curtains smells. The air-conditioning was very difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. There's only Low, Middle, High.

Great location as it was in front of the train station and bus terminal. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. Check-in process was quick and easy and the staff were very friendly.
The bathroom was very small and hard to move around. It was barely bigger than a bathroom in an airplane.
There was dust on parts of the wall which needs cleaning. As it was a smoking room, you could see the cigarette residue on parts of the ceiling. Also, the wallpapers are peeling off and the room should be repainted. The desk chair was wobbly and it's going to break if a bigger person sits on it. It needs to be replaced. Furthermore, the room is old and outdated.
