The house was welcoming and nicely furnished. Big kitchen where we all helped to make meals. Nice dining area for us to sit and visit. Two things that would have been nice to have, instructions on how to work the TV and more chairs that could have been pulled up to the dining table. We were so impressed with the the rental agent who responded so quickly with our every question or request.

The house and area was very nice. Communications and understanding of Rental Agent was not as approving and at times difficult.

Arrived at the property the lock code that was sent to me didn’t work. Had to call to get another lock code but almost didn’t get it cause service was horrible. Finally got in it was so hot. (If you all knew people were arriving then why not have the air on atlas’s 6 hours so home could cool down it’s summer time)Upstairs shower was not working properly so everyone had to take a shower down stairs. Have asthma and couldn’t adjust the air because of the smart meter that is in the home. Called to see if someone could adjust it to at least 70 but no one answered on numerous call attempts. The floor boards on the upstairs patio are old and very weak in certain spots. Was super scared to walk on them. Refrigerator didn’t get cold until the second day there in the afternoon. So majority of the food I had that is supposed to stay cold didn’t ended up having to go buy more food. Ice maker didn’t work was forced to buy ice. Had one ice tray. No supplies to clean the kitchen or wash the towels so had to go buy Clorox and washing powder along with dish detergent and dishwasher pods. No towels to even wash dishes so I had to buy some just to clean the dishes that didn’t fit in the dishwasher and to wipe down the cabinets. Couldn’t host party on fear that someone would fall thru the balcony upstairs. Totally cancelled it. Other than that it’s a good spot to fish.

The property wasn't worth the cost of the stay. The pictures made the space look more appealing than it was. The furniture is old, the beds look like cots, the tvs are miniature, the blinds were crooked looking, the master bedroom tub was sanitary imo, one of the rooms lights wasn't working, the closet doors were flimsy and to top it off I had to kill roaches. I requested a refund with the host, but they didn't return my msgs in regards to me being unsatisfied with my stay. And when they did msg me back...they never addressed any of my concerns instead they asked me to put their trash and on the curb since it was "Trash Day".
-5 stars.
I DO NOT recommend

Besides having our family under one roof that was really the only positive. When we checked in we had no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms or towels, some lights didn’t work,
Or master ceiling fan. We spent the first part of our trip buying toilet paper, and towels so everyone could shower( eventually someone opened the dryer and found some towels). Not enough for a family of 11. The house is very dated and in need of repair. The vacation company asked if I could repair what was broken the they could reimburse me. Yes I brought an electrician on the trip (insert sarcastic tone here). Kitchen supplies not in good working order. Crock pot didn’t work. I had to go buy two of those. Griddle and pans warped and barely Useable. Pool listed as an amenity of the property. I received a text that the pool could be used for $100 for the week. So not really an amenity. TV’s didn’t have any channels except streaming from your own devices. A booklet of how to work things in the house would have been nice. So much junk in the grill, that when we tried t grill it was so hot it burned everything.
Besides the master bedroom the beds were terrible. The queen bed was nothing more than a hotel rollaway bed, the two twin beds were very thin mattresses as well. Under the carport the bottom level had exposed beams and insulation falling down. This didn’t really make me feel confident that we weren’t going to fall through the floor. This was our first VRBO and I wasn’t impressed.

The blinds in the kitchen in front of the sink are gone so people can look straight through. The floor in the kitchen is lifting and it was very dirty.
There was a fly trap hanging from that window not very sanitary for guest.
One of the sliding door latch is broke so we couldn't lock it as we slept, we had to push the couch in front of that door.
The light in B1 doesn't work we had to use the closet light for light.
The closet door in B2 is hanging off the hinges and the bed had no headboard, it's actually a fold up and not an actual bed like shown on the pictures on VRBO. Also no remote for the tv there as sand in the bed we had to go buy detergent to clean the beds before we slept.
The TVs in the rooms also do not reflect the photos they are all very small.
The nails on the deck were sticking up we had to get a hammer to nail it down to prevent tripping.
The faucet in the upstairs tub is loose, we thought it was going to come out the wall when we turned the shower on.
This is a house that sleeps 17 but there were only 2 wash towels. Also Not enough blankets either. We had to go buy blankets.
We also had to go buy cleaning stuff because it was very dirty upon arrival no trash bags either.
The banister is loose as well, that is a hazard if someone were to lean on it.
Overall we had a good time but would have preferred a different house. Instead of the owners trying to accommodate us they tried to just order us pizza which we didn’t care for.

We were informed day of check in that the place was trashed by previous family that stayed and we couldn’t check in until later but no specific time given. Long story short didnt get in until 8 and maid told us sheets weren’t washed, she couldn’t get a hold of property manager, smelled like throw up, stove was broken, filthy, shower upstairs has hardly any pressure, shower downstairs has a broken nozzle, the drier didnt work like it should have so washing/drying the sheets ourselves didnt finish until after midnight, the list goes on. I ask for a one night refund since we lost a day and not to mention the food ruined in our car. Management said ok. I got a refund but it didn’t even account for a full day and taxes I paid for the day. Then they book something else under our name and I receive 3 emails for it and I question it and they ask me to forward the emails to them. What?? DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It was a nice place. The 2nd day we couldn’t get the Wifi but There was Buzz guest internet. Oh, the corners of the rugs need to be glued down or something because everyone at one time or another tripped on them. We really enjoyed the house though. I would rent it again.

Sea, sun and fishing
Great location to go fishing and close to the beach. House is clean but needs more lighting in the family room area. Needs more kitchen tools, pans and utensils. Overall family enjoyed the stay and had a blast!

Updates
Overall the property was everything we asked for. There was lots of room for our big family. However 1.) several spots around the outside deck need to have boards replaced or added. There were several spots our toddlers and even the 5 year olds with us could have fallen thru down into the canal. 2.) The oven did not cook evenly/properly. We tried to cook biscuits and corn cobs in the oven on 400 degrees and it took about 45 minutes and constantly rotating the pans so the middles didn’t not burn.
Our family throughly enjoyed our trip to Galveston.
3.7
Great family fishing/boating
We had a great time here. Very roomy home with everything you would need. Was able to use the local boat launch and keep our boat at the homes slip. Kids had a great time fishing and short walks to beach.
3.7
Condition
The house was clean, big, plenty of room. There were minor maintenance issues. Some were addressed the day after check in. We discovered some later. In the listing, the items of game room, games, and toys is a little misleading - no game room, only a couple of games, and there were a couple of floats. Eliminating those from the list or knowing that more specifically would have been helpful. Maintenance issues that need to be addressed, just so you know about them, are the refrigerator is set too cold and freezes things and we couldn’t adjust it. Light bulbs in ceiling fans do not work. All others that needed to be replaced were. The fish cleaning sink leaks underneath. Overall it was a nice house to stay in. We enjoyed our stay.
3.7
Great location for a large and diverse family
We really loved the location and size of the home. The kitchen needs a little more in the way of cooking paraphernalia. The 5 star staff are responsive and very helpful! We loved how clean the home was too.
