UN LUGAR MUY ACOGEDOR CON UNA EXCELENTE UBICACION

The hostal was very confortable, spacious and the staff was nice and attentive. They have a garage which we could use at any time.

It's just a really lovely place with charming staff and a beautiful garden. The room looked onto the pool and was very quiet. I liked the fact that it had fly screens so you could leave the windows open at night without the issue of bugs. I also liked the hammock outside on the veranda - one for each room.
It's a very small town so everything is walking distance from the hotel. There were no issues with hot water, and WiFi worked well in our room o the second floor.
No complaints about this hotel

Liked relaxing in the hammock and at the pool reading. Playing cards at the table in the garden. Good breakfast, first day was great coffee, the next 2 days the coffee taste funky?? A short block from town and the plaza. Great restaurants- Paradise Indian and UFO were amazing!
No shelf etc to put your belongings in.
Room had a funky smell??
Coffee tasted like dishwater??

They have a beautiful garden with a nice view of the mountains. It's quiet and secure. It's only a few meters from the center of town with access to several restaurants and shopping venues.
I liked everything.

Breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful. Location is great. Beds good!
The staff burned garbage on our second day and it smoldered all day and overnight. Gaseous, noxious fumes that went right into our room. We shut the windows, but it made the room so hot. I walked out in the middle of the night, and I got instantly sick. None of our family slept well that night, and I was sick for most of the next day. I don't know what all was being burned but it was steps from our room. We complained in the morning and they doused it right away as it was still smoldering heavily, but the smell remained. I don't know if it is something that happens regularly, or just a mistake, but it definitely impacted our stay.

Great value in downtown Vilcabamba!

The garden is a very nice place to relax. The position in great.
The pool was not very usable and I had higher expectations about the rooms. The staff was nice but didn't seem very helpful with touristic information.

great location, steps away from the town square. lovely grounds, flowers, a small pool that was nice to dip into, fun statues (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves) among the flowers.
might be more a booking issue than a hotel issue, but there was no coffee maker or fridge in the room

A very comfortable relaxing facility. Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast.
All was good.

A gentleman was smoking in his room and at times stood right outside my window smoking. The windows and doors are NOT airtight, so the smoke filtered into my room very easily. I hate the smell of smoke!!

The property is located in the centre of the village.
This hotel has seen better days. Unfortunately it is now poorly maintained and not very clean. The bed was as hard as a table and the bedsheets as thin as paper. Wi-Fi was on and off all the time. Breakfast was minimal. Lighting was poor.

The garden/patio area full of plants, trees and flowers is beautiful. Our room #13 upstairs had a wonderful view from the balcony of the garden below and the mountains in the distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good. Close to the square.
The bed was very firm. Too hard for our liking.

Its super affordable. The garden is enchanting and charming and the common areas are quite nice and varied. I loved the hammocks, the pool, and the breakfast. The best feature for me was how close it is to the center square, which made exploring Vilcabamba super convenient and easy.
The rooms were decent but there was apparent damage to some of the walls and some mold in the bathroom. I got bit a lot while I was sleeping. I had bug repellent on , head to tow and still woke up with bite soars all over, 3 nights in a row. I saw a long thin bug crawling on my leg at one point, while in bed. Another person who was staying there also mentioned that he was having issues with them in his room, as well.

it was beautiful! the people were great and rooms very clean.

They have a great location in town, which is very appealing initially. The large courtyard gives the place quite a character giving the impression you are at a tranquil property where you can rest while in town.
An accommodation place's primal purpose is to offer its guests a place to rest while they are away from home. A loud dog next door barking all night and an equally thunderous rooster will deprive you of your sleep for as long as you stay in this property. If that is an issue the property cannot solve, they should at least advise guests of this terrible inconvenience since they are well aware of this issue. They do not.

That it is close to the center of town and it is clean and beautiful.
It costs more since I was there in May. This time I was traveling through and did not try the Jacuzzi, but last time I had to ask repeatedly for the Jacuzzi to be turned on and was told that it would only be on Saturday. Even then it was not warm when I had time to use it. As a gringo, when I see an amenity listed on a places web site I expect it to be there and working. I have bad knees and benefit from a hot soak so that is very important to me that there is a working Jacuzzi.

The bed was comfortable and it was close to the main square. The staff was friendly.
The pool was murky and not at all inviting. The room was very small, a chair in the room would have been nice as there was no place to put your bags except on the floor. The shower was lukewarm and the curtain was thin and cheap. You could hear everything the person in the next room did or said. Dead bugs in the corner next to the bed. The fruit at breakfast was good, the croissant was stale,.
Things the mgmt had no control over but still affected our stay, it seems to be next to a farm as there were roosters crowing ALL. NIGHT. LONG!

Still an OK place, nice is several ways, but feels a bit run down. Good value, still. Fabulous location, steps from the square and all the restaurants, bars and cafes. Nice folks still run it. Very laid back.
Never could get any hot water in the shower, even after 5 minutes.

Fresh fruit, fresh bread, freshly squeezed exotic juices, and eggs cooked to your request-how could you get better? And, homemade pasta dishes, wow! We also loved the serene garden atmosphere, especially the reading-friendly hammocks, and the exuberant staff! Fabian, Juanita, Eni, and Betty treated us like family! Fabian is is such a welcoming owner, He attended to the jacuzzi every night to make it better for us! Juanita is a maternal manager who you depend on and become best friends with, and Eni and Betty are the eager support team!
Absolutely nothing! Family and friends who saw our pictures were so jealous!
