Friendly host and good amount of space. Free parking on street.
Very noisy street, in the morning and evening.
No air conditioning so you need to have the windows open in summer.

The owners very helpful and attentive, the location is beautiful and convenient, the house is small but it has everything you need. There is a good restaurant right across the street.
One of the windows in the bedroom doesn't have shutters.
The street gets busy in the morning, there is a bit of noise.

Great location right near the port, easy parking and a fabulous fish restaurant directly opposite the flat. The blue and white colour scheme is cute.
The welcome chocolates and biscuits were a nice thought but were a bit old and stale. The drains were a touch musty smelling.

I loved imagining this little house’s past life as a fisherman’s cottage, when life was simpler… so cosy in there! It was lovely being by the harbour, and parking right outside was super convenient. Fast WiFi, hot water… all mod cons in a tiny and historic house.
Having a bar across the street may not suit everyone, but it did not bother me.

excellent central location for the marina and restaurants. The house was clean, well serviced and had a surprise small balcony from which we could see the sea. Our host was very amicable, would recommend!

A former, very nice fisherman house in the centre of the town, directly next to the fishing harbour. The harbour is being used actively. You can observe the fishermen's jobs from a little place on the top of the house almost all day/night long. The landlady is extraordinarly friendly, we got a basket full of local fruit, biscuits, home-made cake at our arrival. Parking is available right in front of the house or just around the corner. All parts of Sao Migual are easily accessible by car. The town beach Praia da Vinha da Areia is very nice and 5 minutes away on foot.

The woman who received me was very friendly and accomodating. Even though she doesn't speak English, she did her best to communicate with me.
There was some food in the fridge (jam, cupcakes, fruit, vegetables) and coffee and cereal at my disposal, which all contribute to a comfortable stay.
The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. I had a little trouble finding a socket to charge my phone, but I just unplugged one of the lamps for the time being.
The location seems great at first glance, however, during my 1-night stay, there was constant noise on the street during the night and construction workers started work very early in the morning, none of which could be completely tuned out by closing the windows, which resulted in me not getting much sleep. Granted, it was a Friday night so the streets might have been busier than usually.
The view from the very tiny terrace isn't that great since it's obstructed by other buildings and the dock.
The staircase to the bedrooms is quite steep so it's necessary to be careful, especially since the wooden fence isn't very stable.

We had a wonderful stay in Paraiso Azul. It’s a traditional house close to the port and the city center. Our host was very helpful and left a ton of local food which was great! The house is modern and well equipped.

The apartment is lovely and a great location. The hosts are such genuinely nice people. There was cake, fresh fruit, chocolates, etc. When I arrived. But they also brought more fresh fruit and tomatoes part way through my stay. It was such a lovely stay. Cannot recommend enough
