Well appointed and well equipped. Very comfortable stay.
There is very little to dislike. My Mother who is 89 found the steep stairs a little difficult, but this is not a negative about the property.

Great location close to Saddleworth villages and beyond nice touch from owner providing milk and essentials and cut logs to light open fire in lounge
Very cold and draughty for us due to boiler malfunction - think radiators also need upgrading - steep narrow staircase without continuous handrail made access to first floor difficult for seniors and restricted the usable floor space of kitchen. Double bedroom is extremely small and only accessible walking through the bathroom. Bathroom basin is only a hand rinse size - too small for washing. Curtains excessively long and too narrow for windows

It was cosy and secluded. We loved the way the cottage had been decorated and furnished. The beds and bed linens were very comfortable. It was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed. There had been breakfast items left in the fridge for our use which was a nice gesture. We were welcomed on the day of our arrival to make sure everything was okay and again by the owner during our stay.
We have no complaints about the property.

The location was convenient yet quiet and secluded. It had all of the kitchen items we required. The owners had left some basics for us in the fridge.
The tv reception was extremely poor. The stairs were very steep. Access to the main bedroom was through the shower room - ok for a couple or family of 4.

The location is charming and atmospheric, something to do with the age of the cottage and it’s history and location adjacent to the Hall. It’s quiet secure and peaceful.

Lovely little cottage with good kitchen facilities and comfy living areas. We stayed for two nights for a local wedding, and it was really easy to check in and hosts were responsive. Kitchen was well equipped for breakfast and lovely touches such a milk and bread to keep us going. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed our stay.
We didn't realise the bathroom had to be walked through to get to one of the bedrooms - made for a funny code system to avoid walking in on someone in the bathroom!

Lovely cosy cottage with lots of character in a great location. Very friendly host and generous welcome package.

Very cosy cottage . The pictures don’t do the property justice. Exceptionally helpful owners (The owner went out of there way to give me a lift to the local pub). I was left fresh milk, orange, jams, butter & a loaf of bread. Such a nice touch that I wasn’t expecting.

Location is fantastic. The owners could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble.
The cottage has everything you require and more. The beds are another level comfy...
The owners left us a little welcome pack bread butter milk jam and marmalade which was a lovely touch.
The facilities ie; kitchen bathroom etc are all great, towels are lovely and fluffy.
Fabulous open fire, owners lent us am axe to cut dome kindling.
I have absolutely no hesitation recommending and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The only negative was that we had to clean out the fire grate, before we could make the fire but that is being really picky it wasn't a great hardship.

Really nice touches like: milk, bread, jam in the fridge, even some wine and beer. A great location for visiting Uppermill and surrounding villages.

Although not expected, the breakfast components supplied were excellent, and milk couldn't have been more local !
Excellent spatial awareness has enabled maximum facilities to be provided ...better than most properties !
Couldn't connect to WiFi using the supplied code, but the phone signal was excellent, so only a minor issue

It is more comfortable than a hotel to book a house. It was very clean, a lovely wood fire (even though I had to clean it out first). Great surroundings and safe with ample parking. Was able to come and go-as required.
Nothing really. Please note the stairs are steep and deep so for those with limited ability take note. Also the bathroom is directly connected to the double bedroom so you have to time your visits. As family this was not an issue just found it quirky.

The location of the cottage was perfect for us. The hosts were very helpful and also left us a lovely breakfast welcome pack, which was much appreciated. The cottage is lovely and cosy and the seating was very comfortable, as were the beds. The towels were plentiful and lovely and soft. We were very comfortable and there was plenty of room (and parking) also for few people who visited us. The wifi was excellent. Th owners have two lovely, friendly little dogs which has got to be a plus!
The shower was very slippery and would benefit from some sort of non slip bath mat. The stairs are very steep too. We expected that having lived in a similar property for many years but it may be an issue for anyone with iffy legs. Unsure if this is mentioned in the description. Also, some instructions for the tv would be useful - we struggled with that.
