Very disappointing in so many ways

This was an inexpensive night relative to the place and the time.

(1) The owner had put no details whatsoever onto the website. (2) He didn't respond to any of the messages we sent while we were travelling. (3) We therefore had no idea that there was no wifi and were unable to contact anyone about anything. (4) None of the eight local cafes had wifi so we walked for almost an hour before finding wifi. (5) The owner gave no instructions whatsoever as to (a) where to park (2) how to get into the property (3) how to make the most of our time there. (6) Many people may be coming from Portugal to Huelva and it would therefore be friendly to alert them to the fact that the time zone changed as we drove over the border. We didn't know this - our fault, of course! (7) The owner gave just one hour for checkin which we of course missed because of the above. We never met him or saw him. (8) Thanks to a friendly local shop owner, we were able to make a local call to the owner to learn all these things that we were not aware of - codes, keys, etc. To be honest, one of the worst arrival experiences I have had, despite using Booking.com constantly for the last two or three years. And none of this really mentions the grubby and untidy state of some of the accommodation - a non-working fridge with a faded pencilled word on a slip of paper in Spanish, for example, telling us that it had broken down.

Economic, clean and comfortable room and bed in the center of Santa Cruz. I like it.

Central location in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Parking is a bit difficult but with a bit of searching you can find something. The room is located in a kind of inner courtyard and therefore rather quiet, at least at night. After 30 hours on the ferry, it is a good, inexpensive way to relax and recover. There is also a nice green park nearby. I was able to pick up the key in a bar at 23:30. The apartment is nice and fully equipped. Zentral in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Parking etwas schwierig aber mit etwas Suchen findet man schon was. Das Zimmer ist in einer Art Innenhof gelegen und somit recht ruhig, zumindest nachts. Nach 30 Stunden Fähre eine gute, günstige Möglichkeit zur Erholung. Ein schöner grüner Park ist auch in der Nähe. Den Schlüssel konnte ich auch um 23:30 noch in einer Bar abholen. Die Wohnung ist schön und komplett ausgestattet.

Der Schlüssel war ca 1,5 km entfernt bei einer Bar abzuholen. Noch besser wäre eine Schliessbox mit Zahlenschloss vor Ort. The key could be collected from a bar about 1.5 km away. A lock box with a combination lock on site would be even better.

Exceptional

Inexpensive, no-frills, minimalist place to stay. Perfect for solo travelers who don’t need an entire house full of endless amenities. Had just what I needed. Host was very responsive

Location was OK, near transport and not far from the centre. The kitchen had two coffee machines but it was difficult to know how to boil water.

The small room is cooled by a powerful fan while the larger bedrooms have air conditioning. The lounge is air conditioned but the control did not work. The fridge/freezer broke down during my visit but repairs were in progress. The washing machine was extremely old and only had instructions in English! There were no instructions for the coffee machine, and no capsules either.

Walking out to find a hotel.

Third floor no lift (not mentioned in description) parking 400mts away. Accommodation old, dated and not clean, owners things inside the drawers. Refrigerator didn't work and bathroom smelt of sewerage. I wish people were more honest with feedback. Walked in, looked around and walked out. In Booking.coms hands now, though I doubt anything will be done.

Okay for a short stay.

Everything looks nice and it is comfortable.

No Wifi, it was stated, we overlooked it, but we didn’t even think that such places would even exist today, because they shouldn’t 🦁

everything was good. check in by myself, the owner told me the instructions though phone (WhatsApp). everything was easy. I love to do self check in/check out. bed really comfy, everything clean and nice. very nice place.

deceptive photos. black mold. rude host.

proximity to train station

deceptive photos - first two photos show a living room. when i told the host the heater and television were not working in the living room their response was: "living room IS not for client. sorry." the feature photo is of a living room. which that photo is deceptive - if living room is not for guests - why have it be the feature photo? bait and switch. deceptive. false advertising. living room does NOT look like photos - living room looks like an abandoned storage unit - filled with rubbish - empty fish tank, dirty dog bed, and busted ceiling fan on the ground - the first two photos are not what this place looks like currently. stairwell lights did not work properly. entire property smelled rotten and black mold was visible. springs were jutting out of mattress. host never sent check in instructions. when i arrived i messaged them - called them - and they were unresponsive. keys are left in a lockbox outside - owner does not change code - dangerous. rooms did not have locks - unsettling - dangerous - hosts should consider guests safety and well being. plumbing did not drain. black mold. heaters did not work. stay somewhere else. amused someone stated "traditional arabic architecture" - this is subpar sixties hi rise that is crumbling to the ground.

Bright, airy, clean and comfortable. Good kitchen. Near many shops, restaurants and parks. Free parking nearby. Jose, the host, is responsive and friendly.

No wifi. Three long flights of stairs to climb. This is a shared rental, with three guest rooms.

Good price...but not worth it

The room and common spaces appeared to be clean. There were extra sheets and blankets in the closet. It was also a short walk to the city center.

It did not feel safe. The front door to the apartment building did not lock. The doors to the individual room in the apartment did not have a lock, and there was nowhere to safely store our items while we were away from the room. The hallway and staircase in the apartment building did not have lights at all. We walked three flights up in complete darkness in order to reach out room. I felt nervous coming in late because it was not possible to see, and the apartment building halls were desolate. There were no check in or check out instructions posted. We were able to call and get in contact with the manager and picked the keys up from another person down the block. When checking out, we called but could not get in touch with the manager. We just had to leave the keys in the flat. I would not have felt safe staying if I was not there with my partner.

Nice location and good value for money

room is extremely small, with no WiFi and no air con. Only one bathroom/toilet to be shared with 4-5 people.

No locks on the bedrooms. Host didn't put any effort to answer basic questions about check in. No information about the wifi anywhere in the apartment, host didn't reply on message either. No AC in the room, for summer days is too hot. A lot of noise in the house during the night.

Very good

Place was a bit difficult to find, and check in was a challenge (nobody at the property, so I had to phone the owner and collect key at nearby gambling house).But once I phoned the owner he was realy helpful and check in went well. Never saw the owner - all communication was by Whatsapp.
