About this apartment rental
Summary:
Welcome to the Pastel Paradise! A little quirky and a little bold sounds like the perfect combo! You'll love the cozy blankets and modern design in our newly remodeled Italianate home in the beautiful historic licking river neighborhood. Our artwork is sourced from local artists and our tasty coffee & snacks come from local cafes and bakeries.
We're just a short walk from the US Bank Arena, Reds Stadium, and all the delicious coffee shops and restaurants that your heart could desire!
The Space:
This building was built in 1863 but was completely renovated in 2018! Luckily for us that means we have all the charm of a historic house and neighborhood with all the convenience and amenities of a modern designed space. This bnb has many art pieces and all of them are sourced from local artists.
Guest Access:
This is Apartment 2 which is on the west side of the house. On the lower deck the entrance is the door with a 2 in the middle of it.
You can park in the parking lot directly across from the building. There are parking spaces marked "Bed & Breakfast Only". Park in the space with the sign designated for apartment 2.
Access to the apartment is limited to registered guests only. Any visitors must be approved by the host and may not stay overnight.
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.
The Neighborhood:
The Licking River side neighborhood is a quaint historic neighborhood full of some of the most beautiful Italianate and Victorian style houses in all of Cincinnati. The neighborhood is also one of the safest in downtown. Feel free to walk around the corner to Lil's Bagels, or Keystone Bar and Grill. Walk up the street to grab a cup of coffee at Leftbank Coffee House. Enjoy the neighborhood but be careful... you may decide to stay forever!
Getting Around:
Guests who are able may want to walk to the local restaurants and bars. But driving is an easy option too! Easy drive to both downtown Cincinnati and downtown Covington.
Other Things to Note:
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.
As always, we recommend guests exercise common sense and safety while walking between destinations throughout the city.
Interaction with Guests:
Our interaction with you is minimal unless you need us. In that case, we can be there in minutes!

Great little space, very walkable to Cinci stadiums.

This was such an easy booking. The apt was darling. I would stay here again. To walk back and forth the bridge between Kentucky and Ohio was convenient - no car needed. There was loads of excitement in downtown Cincinnati and a quiet, sweet spot in Covington.

Easy walk to stadiums across the River. Lots of restaurants, taverns nearby.

Nice modern apartment. Great parking and close to everything. Came to see the WEBN fireworks in Newport and was able to walk there from this property.

Would have given this a 5 star review, but property was genuinely dusty/dirty. I’m not one to leave a negative review, but if needed a good clean. Other than that, it was the PERFECT location, comfortable bed, decorated adorable, check in was easy... perfect little get away location. Just maybe needs a new cleaning company or something.

Quick stay
Place seemed to meet the expectations of the listing. It’s a mini split system so the air was a little stuffy and didn’t get as cool as I would have liked. The neighborhood has a number of cool new shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the baseball stadium. We really liked the restaurant/shop Gruff nearby.

Perfect for two
Walking distance to restaurants and a short hike to Paul Brown Stadium. Overall good stay.

Modern Apartment - Great Place to Getaway!
Booked the apartment for a place to stay while visiting Cincinnati for a concert. Due to Covid, the concert was re-scheduled multiple times and I was charged the difference in the fees each time. Communication was great, except for one time I received a charge without any communication, which came nine months after changing the date.
Apartment was clean, though there was a boot-print on the bathroom floor, wadded paper towel under the shower door, and debris in the kitchen sink catcher.
The mattress in the bedroom was comfortable, but did sink to the middle some. Pillows were comfortable too. The couch folded out into a bed, which we used. The support bar was noticeable and it creaked when getting situated.
Road noise can be heard, so if you're not used to that, you may want to bring ear plugs or a sound machine.
The heater/AC unit in the living room would not turn on.
Overall, we felt safe and had a nice stay. I appreciated the chargers for our electronics along with a list of suggested restaurants; coffee, tea & extra linen. Decorated cute too.
I would recommend this apartment/location and would stay here again.

Great location and hideaway
Wonderful place to stay. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and market. The Great American ball park and other Cincinnati places just walk right over the bridge. Quiet neighborhood that was very welcoming and safe.

Cozy and convenient
Most accommodating hosts ever. Had a air conditioning issue and they promptly offered us an even nicer property. Both were in the same safe neighborhood Easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shop ( Great one around the corner that was coffee/bookstore) we walked around the neighborhood to view the interesting architecture. Property was immaculate, comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Definitely would go back.

Good place for weekend stay
This was a good place for a weekend stay and a great location. Apartment size was perfect for two. We would have liked to have some extra little things like more clothes hangers, more hokes in bathroom for towels, dish towels, etc. but overall a good place.

Great place with cool, updated features
Beyond it being a very nice place, communicating with property management team was enjoyable. There was an understandable mixup with the cleaning of the place and they addressed it immediately and followed up to make sure I was taken care of and satisfied. Also, if you are doing anything in downtown Cincy or visiting some of the fun attractions in Newport, this property is in the PERFECT location. You can walk to some really cool barsike Justis Smoke and you're no more than 2 miles from every on either side of the bridge.

Comfy & Cozy
This charming one bedroom was perfect for my week long stay to visit my son and his wife. It looked exactly as the pictures depicted. It had everything I needed including delicious coffee, snacks and oatmeal for breakfast. I was able to do a load of laundry before heading home and they had everything I needed. I Will totally choose this rental for my next visit!
