It was very clean and comfortable, and personnel was very nice. Breakfast buffet was excellent!
It didn’t have a kitchen or fridge that could be used by the guests, which was unexpected and made us waste some food.

The guesthouse is located inside a restaurant (or the other way around :D) and is run by Italian owners (which I really appreciated since I'm Italian myself!). If you eat at the restaurant, which mostly serves burgers and pizzas, you get a 10% discount. In the village there's a gas station, some shops and cafes, but they were mostly closed when we were there, so it was nice to have a restaurant inside the guesthouse. If you come from east or southwest, be aware that some roads that lead to the village aren't paved (as of 2023).
The rooms were spacious and clean, same for the toilets. You always had access to a warm tea/chamomile and extra towels. Included with the stay you also have a nice breakfast, with a wide range of options. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
An extra toilet/shower would have been nice, because both nights the guesthouse was fully booked and there were many guests. There are no facilities to cook yourself a warm meal - I guess that's the whole point of also having a restaurant - but just so you know! Since there's a lot of fried food in the restaurant's menu, the halls always smell of food, so better keep the windows open ;)

Staff was friendly.

the proprietor directed us to a hot pot up the road and was very engaging

The hosts were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The facilities were warm and clean. Very convenient location with good view, near a N1 and convenience store, and restaurant right within the same building!
Nothing!

Nice and warm welcome by the lady! Such nice people and very good food!
A little too warm in the bedroom

Clean bathrooms.
Everything can be heard through the room door, so many other loud guests chatting outside my door. Got woken up at midnight, 6 in the morning and 8 in the morning because i thought someone was in my room talking. But they were just out in the hall. I understand that you can't control the other guests, but you might consider soundproofing your rooms better,
At 10 in the morning the cleaning person started blasting spanish music at high volume while cleaning the rooms surrounding my room. Thats when i woke up for the fourth time that night. Checkout is at 11 so i think it's extremely rude to play loud music while there may still be sleeping guests in the rooms.
I have never written a review for a hotel stay before, but i had such a bad time here that i just had to.

Delicious breakfast and really clean facilities.

great breakfast
I booked a room with two beds because I was traveling with a friend and they ended up giving me a single bed. We ended up sleeping in the same bed. :(

Loved how clean and cozy it was. Best place we have stayed in so far in Iceland. Plus the restaurant was great!

Nothing
Think twice before you book a room here after reading all the positive reviews. I sometimes feel that some people would give a "fabulous" rate to a gutter out of their misplaced sense of propriety. Now, there were a few (3 out of 15 to be precise) really nice places we stayed at in Iceland - check out my other reviews if you like - but this one gets the distinction of being the second worst of all. The room looked like something my granddad would have cringed at in 1950s. Old, squalid and dusty, it smelt and felt like a [slightly] outsized coffin. Bathroom facilities, if they can be called such, were equally dilapidated. Food at the restaurant was absolutely terrible - fatty burgers made of the lowest quality meat and pizza that felt like it was simply heated in a microwave. As is the case in most other places in Iceland, you'd be better off not touching what passes for coffee here.

Great breakfast! staff was friendly, woman at reception in the morning gave good advice on things to do in Westfjords.
When you shower the entire bathroom floor gets flooded. Room was very small.

Rooms very clean and restaurant is part of it. You get a 10% discount at the restaurant.

the bed was one of the most comfortable of my entire tripZ also enjoyed the attached restaurant
the shower flooded into the bathroom, no way to avoid it. maybe include a squeegee to help with that
4.3
clean bathrooms and toilets. Great breakfast
rooms are little bit small
4.3
Nice little rooms attached to a restaurant. The staff is super helpful and positive, and the facilities are clean. Free tea, and easy access from the main road
The rooms are VERY simple, just a bed width in a square room and a window at the back. Double rooms seem to have a bit more furniture. Does the job, but that's about it for the room experience.

Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent and there was a very generous breakfast spread. We also liked being able to walk down to the water. Finally the staff were super nice.
The rooms were a bit small.

property, was very clean and warm. the sink in the large room made a difference.
breakfast was also a very good surprise.
just that at the end the big room we had, could have fired the 4 of us instead of booking a second single room, as one bed was larger than the others
4.3
Very good guesthouse with upgraded common washrooms. Right next to the restaurant owned by the same owner. Breakfast was amazing with many varieties.
A very quite small town and very friendly staff
4.3
