Lovely welcome by Fiona and afternoon tea and homemade cakes were a lovely start to the break. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of fruit and cereals before a cooked breakfast option
A pretty and peaceful location to stay with views overlooking fields and garden, not far to travel to places of interest.

Absolutely everything about this place is first class. Spotlessly clean and the most welcoming host Fiona you will ever meet. Afternoon tea on arrival was an amazing treat. Breakfast is locally sourced and excellent choice with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.

Property was in a quiet location close to Alnwick down a country road but handy for A1 and getting about. Room ( Snowy Owl) was comfortable and had a lovely garden view. Fiona was a top hostess, nothing was too much trouble and her breakfasts were excellent, as was the complimentary afternoon tea on arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed. Plenty of on site parking.
Nothing not to like

Warm welcome and afternoon tea (home made) by Fiona. Lovely breakfast home cooked and locally sourced. Lovely countryside location, so peaceful. Room was perfect for our needs. Ideal for local restaurants in Alnwick , perfect for all the beaches nearby. Thank you Fiona, will definitely book again.
Nothing to not like, perfect location, perfect host.

We were very pleased with our short stay at the "Night Owl". The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Fiona made us very welcome and on our arrival had afternoon tea ready for us which was a lovely touch.
Parking was provided outside the house.
The house is set in a lovely garden with great views over open fields.
There was absolutely nothing which I did not like about the "Night Owl".

Fiona was absolutely lovely, she could not do enough and went above and beyond, the property was immaculate and the food was very tasty and freshly cooked, she made some cakes on arrival which were fabulous, Fiona even gave me a birthday card which was extremely thoughtful.

We were greeted warmly by our host, Fiona. Her beautiful home was a pleasure. It was very clean and everything we could have needed was there.
Although the house is in an isolated location, it was very convenient for trips to Alnwick and other places.
Being where it is, Nature is all around. Many various birds of all sizes visit, including a pair of pheasants that wandered into the garden for us to enjoy during breakfast in the conservatory.
Fiona's breakfasts were well cooked and kept us going.
Thank you, Fiona, for an excellent stay.
We liked everything. No bad points.

Had a lovely relaxing 4 day break here a few weeks ago. Arrived to a lovely afternoon tea which was a lovely touch. Fiona's hospitality was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt like we were staying with family or a close friend. We seemed to be staying in the middle of nowhere yet within 5 minutes we were in the centre of Alnwick. We are already looking forward to returning :o)
Nothing to dislike at all

We enjoyed our stay very much and felt we were extremely well looked after - Breakfasts were Devine.

The Night Owl definitely exceeded our expectations, everything was perfect during our stay and we already want to come back. We were greeted with a delicious Afternoon Tea on arrival, which was an amazing way to start the stay. The "Eagle Owl" room had plenty of space and a very large en-suite bathroom with very good facilities. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room temperature was perfect during the night as the weather was still chilly during our visit. The food during breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of cooked options as well as a very good continental offering to start. We loved the setting of this accommodation as it is situated in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, where you can see lots of stars at night and you cannot hear a single noise.
Last, but not least, we felt really welcomed by Fiona and Archie, the hosting was superb and Fiona made everything to make us feel at home.
We loved everything about The Night Owl, we cannot fault Fiona's place!

Such an amazing place. Fiona is exceptionally kind, accommodating, warm and gracious as a host, and she is highly skilled in the kitchen, with so many of the ingredients used being locally sourced. The views are so beautiful, particularly over breakfast as the sun is rising, and the entire property has such a cosy, rustic feel to it. We were immediately made to feel right at home and we're already trying to find excuses to stay here again. As a side note, I suffer from chronic pain and can struggle to fall asleep, but the bed was so comfortable that I slept blissfully both nights. Highly highly recommend

This is situated in lovely countryside. Although not far from Alnwick you feel as if you're miles away from civilisation... Absolute bliss.
Fiona, the host is so welcoming and on arrival has afternoon tea ready for you.
The breakfast is amazing with an excellent choice available
We had such a lovely stay and will no doubt return... Thank you Fiona

The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and fulfilling. Fiona the hostess was friendly and welcoming.
The lack of instruction of how to get to the location as it is in the moors. Lack of signage on main road to point you in the right direction. Could do with the local tourist information having the knowledge to point people in the right direction. We were sent in the opposite direction to where the cottage was.

Fiona could not have been more helpful ,very clean and good quality facilities. Stunning views and Fionas home cooked food is excellent and even though she says she is not confident cooking poached eggs she did a fabulous job.
Can be difficult to find if your sat navigation plays up.

Fiona was wonderful and friendly and a great host from.start to finish, answering any questions before arrival and was on hand with any information we needed. The location was great. Amazing food, we loved the homemade bread and marmalade and the great local produce for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea on arrival with nice sandwiches, cakes and the scones.
The accommodation was lovely, comfortable and clean and not too far by car from Alnwick itself.

Afterwards tea was amazing! Breakfasts were also great!
Fantastic hosting from Fiona and Archie!
The bed was very soft and I prefer a much firmer mattress but that’s just a personal preference!

The location was ideal for us - in the middle of the beautiful countryside but not far from Alnwick too. Fiona, our host, was so friendly and does a delicious afternoon tea and amazing breakfasts - I can highly recommend the omelettes!
