Large, south facing penthouse apartment with spectacular views of Chamonix and the Mont Blanc range. 200 yards from the central square of Chamonix and 20 yards from the railway station, from where ski buses to all pistes depart regularly. This apartment has a large dining room and kitchen combined; a master bedroom with double bed and small balcony; a further bedroom with 4 beds (2 in bunk, 1 stow-away); sitting room with double sofa bed and small balcony; bathroom with double wash basin and combined bath/shower; separate loo; large private terrace (size of the entire flat again) and private underground parking for one car. It is equipped with TV, DVD, Broad Band Internet access dish washer and washing machine. This is a non-smoking apartment.
Chamonix is an unbelievable mountain town - not at all like a typical purpose built resort. Steeped in history - from alpine climbing to the Olympics. The apartment is in the centre of the town with dozens of bars and restaurants, discos, shops and the Brevent & Auguille du Midi cable cars. Enjoy awesome views of the Mont Blanc range from the apartment. There's a great mix of ski terrain from town centre blues & reds to some of the best, deepest and steepest off-piste slopes in the World!
Geneva airport is a short 60 mile transfer away (easily arranged) or the motorway/ peage virtually runs to the door from Calais for Brits who drive. The central railway station is a 2 minute walk away so you don't even need a car once you're in town. Chamonix is an outstanding venue year-round! Buses to the whole of Chamonix valley leave from the station.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. The location and the amenities at the condo were great and the view on the terrace was breathtaking. John, the owner, is amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The owner, John and the concierge, Mike we very helpful and quick to respond with everything from local tips, to ease of check in and out, and generally just making us feel welcomed and cared for. The flat is in an excellent location and is well equipped. The balcony provides exceptional views and we ate most of our meals there. We’d love to stay again when we return to Chamonix!

Two minute walk from train to great apartment in very lively area. Beautiful rooftop deck with 360 degree views, can’t be beat!
John’s instructions were very clear and thorough. We had to reach out once and he took care of us right away.
Very close to everything. Bars, restaurants, shopping, even a small supermarket.

The apartment has amazing views of the surrounding mountains, especially from the huge terrace that is large enough to hold 50 people or more! The apartment is just a stone's throw from the train station, so it is very accessible and convenient. There is a great little bar/restaurant (Moo Bar) next door that serves good food and drinks and the apartment is in a prime location in downtown Chamonix. we had a wonderful time here!

We loved our stay in Chamonix and at John's apartment which we will certainly be looking to book again the next time we are visiting. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and perfectly located. Chamonix is not a ski in ski out town and we were a bit taken aback about that at first, but realised quickly that is partly what makes it special, a real town in the mountains, and it's really not far to walk to the bus stop to take you up to the mountain in 2 minutes. Thank you John for a lovely stay.

Loved our stay in this flat. So easy to walk to from the train station and so convenient to have a good elevator in the building to take you up to the flat and its amazing terrace..... you just won't believe the stunning views. There also two lovely balconies. Well-equipped flat and clean. Spacious, yet cozy. Safe and secure. Host very nice and super responsive. Hope to return one day!

This is a lovely place, very well equipped and in the perfect location for exploring chamonix and the alps. We were there for the UTMB festival and the location was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk to the start and finish. The communication with the owner was excellent and they were responsive and helpful, providing lots of information to help the stay go well. Chamonix is an amazing place and we would highly recommend this accommodation as a place to stay and explore the area! Thanks!

Lovely situation. Chamonix gives benefits of holiday feel and perfect to get away to the outdoors with plenty of facilities. Apartment was maybe in need of a little TLC but the reasonable price reflects that.

We have stayed at this apartment many times. Great central location (although a little load in the evening) wonderful terrace and balconies. Returning always feels like a home away from home.

Great location right near the train station and easy access to shopping and restaurants right out the door. The private rooftop terrace was a lovely place to hang out after a long day of sightseeing. John was very responsive when we needed towels as we forgot to request them before our arrival. Driving through the pedestrian zone and trying to park a large vehicle was a challenge so we ended up just paying for parking down the street from the train station. Saved us the stress of getting in and out of the parking garage but a smaller car would probably have no issues. Chamonix is incredible and this is a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of it all. We would definitely stay there again.

The appartment is bigger than the standard appartments we have found in the past. It was perfect for a family of 5 and our dog. The whole organization is simply perfect, the appartment is in the middle of Chamonix, we did not need the car the whole week. The garage was an absolut plus. In the appartment we found all what was needed, including some items like dishwasher and washing machine soap, and many details which made our life easier. We were really positive impressed. The big terrace must be a dream in warmer times, unfortunatelly, we could not use it in this season. We were very surprise how positive is the people in Chamonix to dogs. Thanks John for the stay, it was a pleasure being your host.

Firstly, the flat's location was excellent as it provided easy access to the ski slopes and other local amenities. The view from the flat was stunning, with the snow-capped mountains and the charming town of Chamonix visible from the windows.
The flat was spacious and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances, making it easy for us to prepare our meals after a long day of skiing. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after a long day on the slopes.
One of the standout features of the flat was the beautiful views. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset over the mountains from the comfort of the living room, and it was a truly unforgettable experience.
Overall, we had an amazing time staying in Chamonix. The flat was the perfect home base for our ski trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped vacation home with stunning views.

The view & the location of this place is unparalleled! The terrace is amazing! Being just a 2 minute walk from the train station was a huge bonus as we were on foot. We cannot say enough about our host, John. He was so very responsive & helpful & patient! We hope to return one day & spend even more time in this ideal apartment.

We stayed in this cosy apartment for the last week spring skiing. The terrace is really something; we had breakfast and dinner to the singing of blackbirds from the roof of the little church in the backyard and in every direction of our table, rising peaks of snow. I'm trying to think of a bad thing but my mind is overflowing with good memories of this place.
Thanks – we're already planning to return.

Great little property, I can imagine it would be crowded with the maximum or 8 but perfect for up to 5. The view out the living room and bedroom with the double bed is stunning, I could never tire of that view. There is noticeable street noise in the living room and double bedroom from about 5pm to 2am but I guess that also depends on time of year but balance that against being in the middle of all the shops and bars and its well worth it. Having the underground parking was great, we got the 6 series BMW in there just you would not want to go much bigger than that. Its a very well outfitted apartment with everything you might need including a fondue. Very happy with the stay will hopefully be back there again one day soon.

Fantastic Apartment
Just returned from a fabulous week in this Chamonix apartment. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday and was plenty big enough for our large family. It is warm and cosy and we were blown away by the stunning views from every window and perfect central location. I was able to have a bit of me time out on the terrace with a glass wine and book in hand- heaven! Due to covid we had to move our booking and John the owner could not have been more accomodating and responsive. Thank you!

Emplacement parfait.
L'appartement est très lumineux.
La terrasse totalement privée offre une vue fantastique (il manque juste des transats pour bien en profiter l'été).
Le parking privé est très appréciable car à Chamonix c'est vraiment difficile de se garer (la place est très étroite mais mon grand citroen Berlingo est passé) .
La décoration intérieure pourrait être éventuellement remise au gout du jour.
Pour les francais : attention tous les livres et tous les DVD dans l'appartement sont en anglais uniquement.
En résumé : un très bon choix, nous avons passé d'excellents moments dans cet appartement.

Beautiful terrace apartment in the heart of Chamonix
Process was flawless. Followed directions. Worked perfect. The appartement can accommodate 6-8 persons. We each had our own private space. Very clean, comfortable... located on one of the mostly pedestrian streets of Chamonix. The owner responded promptly to our queries. Appreciated having a dishwasher and washer as well. We loved staying there . Would not recommend using the garage stall underneath though, unless you re skilled at handling a steep curved entrance ( I must admit , coming from Canada, I m used to automatic cars and large spaces so that was probably part of the difficulty for me) . However having a private snd safe parking spot in Chamonix is a blessing!

We loved staying at this lovely condo! Everything was very clean and very comfortable. The terrace was fantastic. The location was great, being right in the center of town. John was always so helpful and quick to reply to any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again! A very special place!

Fantastic location!
We enjoyed this VRBO property quite a bit. Can't beat the location and view. The rooftop terrace is lovely, all instructions for arrival and on property were clear and non-intrusive. A note on the parking: I addition to having low clearance (6 feet or so), the spaces are quite narrow and in between concrete columns. Not unusual for Europe, but worth noting as rental cars get wider. That said, we squeezed in ok with an Opel Grandland X. Not a quibble at all - just worth knowing. All told, we'd certainly rent again!

A fantastic home base for exploring Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
We really enjoyed our stay at John's flat in Chamonix and are already looking forward to returning. John was very welcoming and left us with no questions unanswered. The location is fantastic for everything Chamonix has to offer, especially if you like to be right in the middle of things. Bright, airy, and with a wonderful terrace, the apartment is also the perfect place to just hang around to soak in the views and character of the town. Thanks, John!
