Better quality pillows on the bed. Other than that the cottage was a fantastic place to stay . Excellent location .

There is plenty to do in New Quay, especially on a short stay, and plenty of new beaches to explore. Then of course New Quay is famous for it's resident dolphins, which are always a pleasure to witness in the wild. New Quay provides the opportunity for a traditional, family seaside holiday.
The town is fairly clear of tourists after 9pm, there isn't much in the way of evening entertainment, if you want that sort of holiday, but conversely it's great for young families, as it's very quiet at night, and easy to sleep without background noise such as traffic or loud music.

The cottage is lovely. The location is superb, 30 seconds walk from harbour, pub, cafe, chip shop etc. Yet remains quietly tucked away. We seen 3 people pass our doorway in 3 days. The cottage has loads of well thought out little touches that makes it feel homely and relaxing. It's bigger and better than it seems in the ad. Sea views from both double bedrooms - which are a great size, at least 8ft of space either side of the king-size bed in the bigger bedroom, with a slightly smaller but still spacious 2nd double bedroom. Our daughter loved her bedroom with its built-in cabin type bunk bed and porthole in the bedroom door. Lovely large bathroom with a huge bath and separate walk in shower. Also, great sea views from the living room and the decking area in the garden.
The front door was a little draughty and rattled a bit in the wind but we were there during storm Franklin and the wind was certainly exceptional with 80mph gusts. We overcame the rattling with a well placed wedge of folded cardboard and a simple curtain would of prevented the draught. Saying that though, we were never cold because the central heating system worked just fine.

Superb location in the centre of town. Lovely cottage with great facilities. Our kids loved the 'Officers' room with the bunk beds. What a lovely touch. Oh, and we were able to watch the dolphins from the front windows!
The spotlight in the back corner of the kitchen isn't working, leaving that corner a little dark, but hey, if that's all I can find wrong then that's pretty good going really. ;-)

Great location, within walking distance of the the beach, harbour and restaurants / shops.
The cottage was clean, well looked after, and really well equipped with everything we needed.
This was pointed out on Booking.com by the owners in advance, but parking near the cottage is difficult, there are car parks in New Quay though, 5 minutes walk away.

Near the town and beaches. Pretty cottage. Nicely decorated. Lovely view. Good space to sit at front and rear of cottage.
Vehicle access tricky because of narrow roads but that was made very clear on booking and there are car parks nearby.

My partner & I stayed at Oyster Cottage at the end of June and had the most fantastic four nights away! The location of the cottage is perfect, a stones throw from the beach and all of the lovely restaurants/pubs in New Quay. The cottage itself was extremally comfortable & had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday - the views from the upstairs bedrooms and terrace are beautiful, especially on a sunny day.
Nick & Alison were very helpful and their recommendations for where to visit whilst we where in New Quay where also great. The restaurant at Harbourmaster Hotel in Aberaeron is definitely worth a visit and be sure to keep you eyes peeled for dolphin's off the end of the jetty in an evening, we where lucky enough to see them twice!

It was very clean & comfortable , We Loved the seaside theme, Bigger inside than we expected beds very comfortable & close to everything .. would love to come back again
Just a few minor things , Maybe a information pack listing Emergency contact numbers ie Doctors or Nearest hospital (I fell and broke ankle while staying in New Quay this would have been very handy ). Binoculars would have been a nice little extra, (But not a negative, maybe pack a pair before you arrive ). And **Think people should be made aware Some main access Roads are closed off each day between 11am -5pm from April to September**. Like I said just few minor things ..

The kitchen was nice and spacious and nice to see plenty of room to cook.
Stairs with the oar was a nice touch
And the decor was nice considering. But it sleeps 6 there was only room for 4 people to sit either at the table or in the lounge I would stay again but feel.that oyster cottage was over priced for the location and general upkeep.of the cottage
The front door isn't secure when going out rattles and bangs bottom panel just held together with I 2inch cheep boltThe bath is pointless tried to fill it shame the water tank does not hold enough hot water to use it The shower wasn't very clean pink goo all around the bottom of the rail and doors
Rather large hair in the bed cobwebs behind the bedside table came to plug in phone charger hand went through it. I feel for 140.00 per night is far to much as they ask you to strip your own beds and load dishwasher before leaving. There is a stain on the sofa where someone has spilt a cuppa not cleaned up. I was aware that no parking but the incline to the cottage was bad and steep if ypu have issues with walking like I have it was unbearable. And the partial view could only just see from living room and bedroom or out side on the roof terrace which was much higher than expected. And the checkout time was 11 am and I emailed to see if we could leave a 12 and I got a reply asking to vacate at 10 as the cleaner was in because more people were comming in also outside light was a pain as its on all night leaving a bedroom nite no darkness even with the curtains shut as the light comes from the stairs.
My last comment was that the house smelt musty.
