Disappointing

The staff was nice and breakfast also ok, but on Mondays breakfast is until 9am which is very early, also confusing because on other days the breakfast is till 10am.

My room (single room) was exactly between the entrance and the reception, which means I have heared every little noice, guests entering/leaving the hotel during the night and early morning when the staff started to prepare the breakfast (or cleaning, no idea). Also the window was by the smoking area so I smelled the smoke in the room even though the window was closed constantly. The room was very tiny but enough for a short stay.

Bad communication, did not get the room booked

We got a room and free parking, unfortunately not in this hotel but the partner hotel "Hotel Neugrabener Hof".

Upon arrival we were told that the place is overbooked. No notice beforehand, even though I informed via message on the same day of our planned arrival time. We were then placed into a partner hotel "Hotel Neugrabener Hof" directly next to the main road into a smaller room. 20m2 with 3 beds, opening the window introduced the full noise from the road. Had to sleep with closed windows. The staff was friendly but the communication and situation very unpleasant. Maybe this is a business model to overbook the nicer hotel and then upon arrival move the surplus of guests to "Hotel Neugrabener Hof"....

It was the room I wanted. Small and cozy "chambre des bonnes" at the highest floor. Water pressure in the bathroom was ok.Wi-fi was ok. Location is in a residential area easily reachable by city train. It takes about 30mins from the main station to the hotel room. There is an elevator and a fridge in the main hall where you can pick your water, soft drink or beer. There is a very convenient shopping mall nearby where you can buy fresh food, clothes and travel accessories.

Cannot speak for other rooms, but had room no.30 which is wardrope size. Have had many single person bedrooms in several hotels around the world. I believe this was the smallest ever. For same prize -in Germany- I've had better rooms. Room is next to front door: every guest going in/out wakes you up.
