Our stay was very good- the location was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit - Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, the Dolly Sods and the town of Thomas. The fenced yard was perfect for our fur baby - he loved being able to run around. If you go during the week please note a lot of restaurants etc aren’t open certain days or have limited hours - hard to find a breakfast spot or places to have a drink. Also shops in Thomas only 2 were open on Wednesday. We had great food at Sirianni’s and wicked wilderness pub and good drinks and cool vibe at mountain state brewing.

This was the perfect place for a long weekend with our two older dogs. Having a large flat backyard is a big advantage over other properties in the area. The convenience to everything in Davis is nice, and you still aren’t far from Canaan or Thomas. It may be a tiny house but it has all you need.

I lived the size, perfect for myself and my dog. Very convenient to the restaurants in Davis and Blackwater falls.
Despite its size, it had everything you could need. The yard is big and would be great for entertaining. I was able to let my dog out in the yard w/o worry.

Another wonderful weekend in the Canaan Valley at Tiny Peace of Zen. Everything at the house is always immaculately clean and thoughtfully arranged and anything you need is just a few steps away in charming Davis. Our 10 month old labrador retriever puppy even managed to burn off some of that boundless puppy energy playing fetch in the back yard.

This was a great place, everything was clean. The backyard is awesome. Had some weather that did not permit much backyard time but will be great in nice weather.

This is a very cozy tiny house! There was an issue when we arrived where the linens and towels had not been cleaned, but owner made quick amends and got everything back together for us. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment and dishes, the room temperature was nice, and we stayed warm and dry despite the rain. Overall an excellent home base for hiking, skiing, or exploring the small towns.

The well-maintained property provided a comfortable home base for exploring Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls State Park, Davis, and Thomas. While small, the space is cozy and has been outfitted and decorated with care and creativity. The outdoor space was great for our dog and would have been great for relaxing in warmer weather.

As stated. Very convenient to everything. One problem that was negated by the rain. Shed and backyard lighting were not accessible. Something was wrong with shed lock as key would not go in and even if we were able to access, the outdoor light bulbs were missing.

If you are allergic to CEDAR WOOD/OIL: BEWARE!!
First, the property managers didn't provide check-in details ahead of our arrival and were frustratingly impossible to contact by phone for hours. Once we entered the property, we were confronted with a heavy cloud of Pine-Sol combined with the highly allergenic and asthma-triggering scent of cedar wood paneling (the house's interior is lined with cedar from floor to ceiling). We were denied our request to relocate to another property that wasn't a cedar closet, so I was left to puff my asthma-rescue inhaler all night and cough throughout the day. Cedar wood absorbs moisture, so the air within the house was extremely dry during our stay, giving me nosebleeds every morning. I was miserable every minute inside "Peace of Zen." The house is a cute size (like a studio apartment) and has plenty of kitchen tools. I'll give a positive review to the fenced-in yard — my dog loved it.
The neighborhood is quiet but laced with abandoned properties and mobile homes in various states of disrepair. It *is* a walkable half-mile to downtown Davis' main street with restaurants and shops (most of which are closed Monday-Thursday during the summer). We tried to spend as much of our time as possible outdoors, in lovely WV's lakes and mountains and far away from this poorly conceived, cedar-lined tiny house.

The home was so cutely decorated with an industrial & cabin world meeting kind of vibe. Had everything we needed for a couples get away & close to restaurants, breweries & hiking. The only hiccup was when we arrived & the cabin was not cleaned. We called the property manager, they responded right away & cabin was cleaned about 45 minutes after our check in time. Not a huge issue as we were able to sit out back in the shade & just enjoy some down time.

Wonderful rental property in a not very good neighborhood. The neighbors were setting off fireworks on several occasions and our dog was terrified! We purposely chose this stay, thinking since it was such a small town, there would be no fireworks. Regrettably, this problem made our vacation a nightmare.

Cute place. Backyard was good for the dogs. Stove was in of attention. It would only work if it was pulled out 1ft away from the wall, the oven door hinge was broken, but we got to work. The plastic backsplash around the stove was melted from being to close to a heat source(actually should be tile). I wouldnt go as far as advertising it as a "one bedroom" as our state requires a "one bedroom" with a closet and door. Would have liked a notice about the lawn being mowed during our stay. All in all it worked for what we needed.

This place was great for a solo traveller here on a job! We stayed for a couple days, left, and then came back and were able to stay in this same cabin! Lovely little spot.

This is an amazing place that has everything you need in a small space . Very cleverly laid out with all sorts of handy little amenities. And it is in a good location, close to lots of good hiking as well as the ski slopes. A small quibble is the limited channel selection on the DirectTV, which is only a problem for us nighttime homebodies. And you have to be OK with staying in a small place. But it also has a great back yard for times of better weather. Overall a nice little place to stay.

We liked how quiet the neighborhood was. We were also able to walk to a few really good restaurants. The backyard is a good size. I appreciated the yoga mat and small handheld weights!

We enjoyed our visit - it's a small space, and in the winter super cozy. Generally well set up, and great convenient location. We had to sadly cut our visit short to travel to a funeral, and were a little disappointed that the property management couldn't offer any flexibility with the reservation - but otherwise they were responsive and helpful.

Tiny Peace of Zen was as advertised! Our favorite part was the beautiful backyard that was fenced in so our dogs could safely play outside. The fire pit is awesome, but you have to get your own firewood.
Indoors, there was a place for everything and everything in its place! The bath towels were luxurious, and hubby reallllly liked the jersey-like material of the sheets. I would caution against having any more than two people here, though. It is TINY!
I thought the rental was rather pricey considering the area (there's really nothing in Davis, haha) and the pet fee was excessive. My opinion only, of course.
Overall, it was a nice stay for what we wanted: peace and quiet and alone time.

great fenced in space for your pets!
I really liked that the cabin was simply decorated and seems to accommodate 2 people. The pull out sofa-bed, as a sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sit on, so it would be beneficial perhaps to have a sofa/loveseat, instead of trying to accommodate more than 2. I liked the gate to the yard, however, it was hard to get my dogs in and out because of the angle of the gate and ease of opening. It would be super to enclose the front porch, and take the gate off. It was a quiet neighborhood, a little downtrodden, but I could see where residents are working on their properties, and upgrading them in a mountain retreat style. Overall, I enjoyed the location, and as a trail runner, could easily run from the property for hours.

Lovely!
Cabin was cute and cozy. Great experience in the area. Wish that there was a space in the cabin to be able to store away luggage/bags. Very limited space and staying with 2 people and a dog having bags on the ground is a little annoying but not the worst thing. Overall great. Loved the space, had friendly neighbors. Very clean and accommodating.

Tiny Peace of Zen
We really enjoyed our stay at Tiny Peace of Zen! We love visiting Davis and this was in the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. It was just enough room for us. We loved that it was dog friendly as well. The place was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed! We will definitely be back.

Cute house, great location
Super cozy tiny house in quite and convent location. Very clean and NO odor that sometimes comes with pet friendly rental. Very cute decor, comfy bed, and stocked with plenty of Items that you might need. Check in process requires a bit of a drive past the property (depending on which way you are coming from) to pick up a key code which could be sent in confirmation of stay. Drive isn’t unpleasant, but it would be nice to avoid when roads are snowy. Also house runs a little cold but weather was also very, very cold during our visit. We decided it just made for a more rustic experience:). I would and already have recommended this property to friends!!

Delightful stay at Tiny Piece of Zen
We had a great stay at TPZ. The tiny cabin was as cute as advertised and well suited for our stay with our two dogs.
We found the cabin clean and nicely decorated. It was warm and cozy even though the outdoor temps were quite cold during our stay.
We were able to walk to restaurants in Davis and white Grass Cross Country Skiing Area was only a short drive away.
We totally enjoyed our stay at TPZ and recommend it to other travelers. Particularly if you are looking for a dog friendly property.

Positive Tiny House Stay
I loved this house for me, my husband and two dogs. What care the owner has gone to to have everything that you could possibly need in a small space. Everything cleverly available. (Thank goodness for the handy step stool ) It boils over with cute and cleverness.
Check-in was silly. Why we had to drive out of our way to pick up a key code is not understandable. Could just e-mail us the code at 4:00 and saved us the driving. Definitely contactless!
Thank you for your responsiveness to our back yard complaint. Previous guests were irresponsible - nit you.
We’ll be back. 😀

So adorable and comfortable!
This place was just amazing! It was so cozy and had pretty much everything one might need. The kitchen was very well stocked with spices and coffee and tea. Lots of cutlery, dishes, towels and even a hair dryer! There was more than enough soap and toilet paper for my 3 day stay. Even if you run out, there is a shop n save express around the corner where you can get everything. My 2.5 yr old yellow lab loved running around in the huge fenced back yard. This place was close to the blackwater falls state park so we drove there every day and hiked on different trails for hours! We'll definitely be back here soon! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Peace and Zen achieved
I almost hesitate to write a review because I selfishly want to keep this gem a "best kept secret"! :-) I had a wonderful time staying at Tiny Peace of Zen with my dog. The fenced yard was perfect for relaxing and the location was ideal for going to the state park for hikes. The thing I appreciated most is how clean the house is. Other places I've booked have dust in the rafters and scary stuff behind cabinet doors, but not the case here. The neighbors are very close and can see over the fence, so if you're looking for complete privacy in the yard, this isn't the place for you, but it wasn't a problem for me, as Zen Too was vacant while I was there. I'm already looking forward to going back.
