About this house rental

If you prefer to be in a private home rather than an apartment building this may be the place for you ! Private-furnished apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood in the historic town of Golden. Senic open space with hiking trail behind the house and convenient access to Denver,Boulder, and all the major highways. Home situated close to school o Mines ,Nrel, Pentax, Coors, and many popular areas. Furnishings and appliances are new!Private and very quiet. The apartment door walks out the open space with a trail at chimney Gulch. Very nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. The apartment has its own separate washer and dryer master suite bathroom and 40 inch TV. Local channels are available and if you would like additional options there is an HDMI cable and Internet available for you to access other prime video possibilities. I’ve needed to increase my cleaning charges due to new cleaning requirements/time needed and to ensure the entire apartment and sanitized for your safety during COVID-19. This is a vacation rental and I prefer to rent to people that are on vacation. I prefer renters not planning on working from the apartment full-time. Thanks for understanding .If tenants are staying more than three weeks there’s potential for Extra fee for Excessive utility usage. Also I do not allow pets and if someone disregards this there’s a $250 fee for non-compliance. These additional restrictions are in place as a result past tenants challenges . I enjoy having a mutually respectful experience with VRBO tenants. If anything’s more is needed during your stay just let me know.

The suite is just beautiful, nice and clean in a quiet neighborhood. I took away a star because three days into the stay we were ghosted by the owner and had to purchase our own toilet paper. I realize toilet paper isn’t a big deal. It’s the ghosted part that cost a star.

VRBO is known for not sharing spaces, however this is a basement apartment below a home, so you can hear people walking above you. No check in information was provided for check in. The address was made available, but I had to reach out to the host to ask for a key or door code. No amenities except for already unwrapped bars of soap at sinks and in shower, so if you don't travel with shower amenities you will need to buy them there. Also only 2 towels and 2 washcloths available for 2 people for 4 days. The sprinklers run right in front of the entrance door and all the way up the sidewalk in the morning, so you have to get wet or wait on them to be done. Host will answer messages within a few hours with any questions. The AC vents were closed in June, and no access to a thermostat. We had to sweat through the first night until the host let us know that the air vents were closed. I had to climb on my boyfriend's shoulders to reach the ceiling and open the vents. Antenna and TV never would work, we were told people usually bring a laptop to stream, which we wouldn't have known. Wasn't a big deal, we didn't spend much time in the place, but would have been nicer if it worked. Location was fine, but not walkable to town. Very good highway access though. Overall, not what we expected, especially if you are expecting your own space and basic comfort amenities.

This is a wonderful place for any couple to stay. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a short drive into Golden and easy access to Denver and Red Rocks. The place is bigger than the pictures make it look. As pointed out in some of the other reviews this is really a studio arrangement (not 1 bedroom), but the bed is in a nook and there is enough space so you don't feel like you're living in the bedroom. The bathroom is also a generous size as is the kitchen. It's very clean and we had no issues or concerns the entire time we were there. Our host was very accommodating with great communication. He checked in with us after our arrival and had local recommendations.

The location was great for me as I was visiting my grandson at School of Mines. Place was great. Only thing I would recommend is more lighting on walkway to apartment. It was difficult to manage in the dark. Also a chair outside would be nice as the view is breathtaking. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you

The location was perfect to our show to see Gary Clark Jr. @ Red Rocks. Short Lyft ride to a beautiful venue. The owner provided excellent communication and answered any questions we had immediately. We would definitely stay again when in area. Chris is top notch!

Perfect spot for us to do motorcycle day rides through the Rockies. After a long day of ridding it was a great place to come back to and relax, have a beer or two. Very close to downtown Golden to eat and shop.

Bed is in living area. It is a studio, not a one bedroom. There was no temperature control. It was so cold, we bought a $100 space heater from lowes.

We had a great time in Golden. We were there for 2 concerts at Red Rocks. We were only about a 15 minute drive from RR and about 5 minutes from downtown Golden. Our place was very nice with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here the next time we visit Golden.

Excellent location for attending concert at Red Rocks, day trips you Colorado Springs, Denver, Rocky Mtn National Park, Center City, Mt Evans etc. Easy access to trails for running or biking, flat (Welch Dutch) or hill climb (chimney gulch). Great spot and access for road cyclist as well.

Check-in was easy, communication was great. Location was very good for our needs. Close to relatives and the Mines campus. Main room contains living area and bed, kitchen had basic utensils, pots etc. made use of the refrigerator, stove and microwave.

We had a great time at this property. The location was ideal being centrally located between Denver and the mountains. We've stayed in the front range on five previous visits and wanted to stay somewhere closer to the activities we normally do (a lot of hiking in the front range). This location allowed us to get to our areas of interest (mostly parks and towns/cities) with shorter drives. The property is very comfortable and quiet. The view is great. We were able to access a local trail directly from the backyard. We would stay again. Chris was a great host!

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It's tucked away in a beautiful area of Golden and the view is outstanding. It's a very quiet area which is something we always look for. The apartment was spacious, the bed was comfortable and I liked that we were provided a selection of different pillows. The location was perfect for us. It was easy to get around the area for the places we visited during our stay. Chris was easy to communicate with and gave us restaurant recommendations during our stay. Everything in the area was convenient to get to. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and we hope to be back again some day.

This lower level studio apartment was the ideal location for our trip to Golden. It had a spacious living area, quiet sleeping nook, large well stocked kitchen, and a large bathroom. More than enough space for two. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe parking our car on the street. We had easy access to all the main arteries to head into the mountains each day for hiking.

Such a gorgeous location, close to Lookout Mtn. Owner very responsive. Clean and quiet. This location made my trip absolutely magical. In every direction, the view was beauty. Located close to everything.

The location was a great for both exploring the trails, getting a great meal in Golden, or seeing a show at Red Rocks. We did all 3 so didn't have much time to cook, although the kitchen looked well stocked with enough to make meals at home. Arriving at night, I was worried it would look dark and drab as there are only 2 windows (one in the door, and one other window), but once the shades were open it was bright and has a view of the Mining School's "M"

Very underwhelming basement apartment in a good location! Nice safe neighborhood convenient to Golden. The host provided the minimum hospitality requirement of VRBO. We were not given check-in info until evening of check-in day. No entryway lighting the door. Very very sad pillows and bed linens - not matching and no extra pillow cases. Found very meager supplies (tp, paper towels, soap). No kleenex in sight. Minimal baththroom towels - no hand towel provided. No working bathroom fan. Left bathroom sink did not drain. Kitchen had NO staples for cooking. No coffee. Threat of extra cleaning charge for dirty dishes was offensive considering we were charged $120 clean charge for an extremely dusty unit. Furniture had not been dusted in recent history. We left the unit feeling disappointed and felt overcharged for the experience. Could be a great place.

Stay in this quiet basement apartment to be tucked peacefully away in Golden within easy walking distance to everything. Stay here to enjoy deer and rabbits outside your door in the a.m. and golden sunsets on the foothills in the p.m. And stay here for an incredible HOT ENCLOSED SHOWER after a day on the trails or the creek.
