About this house rental
Situated directly opposite Hot Water Beach, chosen as one of the World’s 10 best beaches by Lonely Planet, this modern beach house is the perfect place for a stunning Coromandel Peninsula get-away.
Hot Water Beach is named for the hot mineral springs underneath the beach that can be accessed 2-3 hours either side of low tide. No matter the weather, just grab a spade and dig a hole to soak in thermally-heated water of up to 60C degrees. If surfing is your thing, Hot Water Beach offers some of the best waves on the Coromandel Peninsula. Other local activities include walking and cycling, golf, boating and fishing, learning to surf, arts & craft trails, the local Hotties and Hot Waves cafes, the Hot Water Brewery, the Coroglen Markets and exploring the fantastic Moko Artspace right next door.
Hot Water Beach is just a 10-minute drive from Hahei Beach and the walkway to Cathedral Cove, 15 minutes to Cooks Beach, 30 minutes to Whitianga and 2.5 hours from Auckland or Hamilton.
The house itself is designed for both indoor and outdoor living and any weather. It is surrounded by decking with views of the beach, and outdoor BBQ and dining. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine or beer looking across to the white sand and blue waters of Hot Water Beach, Castle Island and Mercury Bay. Feeling hot? Just head across the road for a swim. Otherwise, backyard cricket or just soaking up the sun with a good book are great options.
The living quarters comprise a large open space containing the living, dining and kitchen areas. The living space can be completely opened up, so you feel like you are right on the beach, even when inside. The house has a UHD TV, mobile broadband and wi-fi, Freeview and a Sonos sound system. The kitchen is fully appointed, with a microwave, dishwasher and industrial style coffee maker.
The sleeping quarters have 3 double bedrooms (one with two single beds) and a bunkroom that sleeps 6. For cooler times, the house is fully insulated, has a heat pump and fireplace in the living quarters and heaters in each bedroom.
If you are looking for all the convenience of a modern, fully appointed home, in one of the best spots in New Zealand, then look no further.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

This was the best spot at hot water beach. The deck was glorious and we were able to enjoy it all day into evening even in the winter. The proximity to the beach made the stay so enjoyable.
