Quirky but fun to stay in. We loved the fire and pool table.
Kitchen a little awkward to cook in. Self catering is possible but a bit tricky.

This is a very unique accommodation if you like something unconventional and pretty quirky. Its a century old building which was previously used for community functions and services prior to being refurbished into a homestay. It is a very huge space but an feels quite eerie for a small group of people living in there. The common living spaces are kept clean and tidy. I like that it comes with free off street parking right outside the house and there is a foodland supermarket just across the street which makes it super convenient. It is also located on a street with shops and cafes. The breakfast basket provided by the owner had a great selection. If you have a genius account like me, do ensure that the breakfast is included in your reservation without having to pay additional for it ( the host wanted to charge initially).
Our entire experience was compromised with quite a number of issues pre arrival and also during our stay. Prior to our stay, we had some disputes with the property owner about the bookings for 3 guests which turn out to be for 2 guests and we had to top up additional costs of AUD300. Upon arrival, we were very unfortunate to find rats droppings on one of the bedroom beds and were totally freaked out by the sight and we end up having 3 people sharing one double bed in the second room throughout our 3 nights stay which did not grant us good rest. The host was kind enough to make good the situation by a thorough clean up the next day but none of us could undo the experience and hence did not sleep in the first room after it was cleaned up.

It was a bit whacky. I like that, but the person who wants a standard room/bathroom/kitchen may not. I, personally, would happily stay there again. I thought that the proprietors were trying to ensure that my stay was comfortable and happy, which I appreciated. Great location.
This property is screaming out for a major overhaul, and, if done, would make it into one of the premier a Barossa accommodation venues.

An amazing place full of character. It is so spacious and would be an excellent venue for a formal dinner party. The location was perfect as you can walk to restaurants and shops. The host was so generous with her gift of breakfast, cheese platter and wine which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend the Angaston Masonic Lodge as the place to stay in Angaston.

Right in the heart of Angaston, near great cafes, restaurants and wine bars as well as very close to some of SA's best cellar doors. It was very spacious, open but still cosy and warm accomodation seeing we had a winter stay. Beautiful historical setting inside offering a lovely fireplace, pool and chess table, as well as sound system in the main living space. We had an amazing basket of fresh breakfast goodies and champagne delivered from the hosts as well as in the fridge on arrival yummy regional condiments and antipasto items. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a few extra night would've been ideal!
No complaints.
