Too much to list. But just a few for now. Couldn't set out on the patio at night because there was no light. A lot of spiders on the porch and inside. Cannot open any windows for fresh air. Cannot use the sitting room to watch TV for different reasons number one was a strong smell of pee. Secondly cannot get networks to work with us. The internet here is very sketchy. Finally don't waste your money here.

I neglected to choose a rating number for the review submitted previously. This is a lovely 4-bedroom house with unique and interesting furnishings and decorations. We came to Plattsburgh to see the eclipse. This house provided a perfect spot to view it. The living room was a relaxing and comfortable place to sit and discuss the events of the day.

This was a fun house. Very well stocked. House was quirky with the furnishings...very fun.

We chose this location in Plattsburgh to be close to the hospital. It was very convenient and also offered a great space to prepare our own healthy meals and comfort food. So close to Lake Champlain, the marina and the train station. We had lovely afternoon walks in the snow.

We loved the quirky property. There was a pretty strong smell in the tv room tho. And was not a fan of the cinnamon room freshener. But otherwise, nice area, fun house.

For a historic older house it was surprisingly quiet, especially at night, and consistently warm, not drafty.
It was delightfully comfortable with plenty of room, and the many items of eclectic and unique decor, including books and artwork, added to our enjoyment of this house.
Our host Joann, was readily available to answer questions before and during our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped. Parking easily accommodated 3 vehicles, not including street parking.

We loved our winter getaway here. The house was amazing and Joann was such a wonderful and helpful host. We were so happy to see that there was a W/D on-site, which we didn't see mentioned in the listing. Many of the reviews mention that the house would not be good for kids but our 4 (all under 13) loved it and were very careful and considerate of the decor. We definitely recommend this historic home!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully maintained historic home located in a quiet neighborhood just 2 blocks from Lake Champlain. The house is spacious, well equipped and well maintained. We were there during a very hot summer week, and the window AC units kept the whole house very cool. We were a quick 5-10 minute drive from the ferry to Vermont as well as the City beach, and we took advantage of both. The house is also about 15-20 minutes from Ausable Chasm which we'd recommend visiting -- so beautiful! The property owner is very easy to deal with and easily reachable. Highly recommend this stay!

Nice but......
The house is in a great location to see Plattsburgh. It is nicely furnished, has fairly new working appliances and comfortable furniture throughout. The a/c window units work well and there are plenty of towels. The advertised jukebox was broken and apparently has been so for some time (see past reviews). The tented gazebo was also broken so there was no shaded area of the yard to sit. The listing also mentioned bicycles, but you would have to be a superhero to get them out of the floor-to-ceiling full garage. The backyard walkway is comprised of small, rubberized tiles that are loose, uneven and a major trip hazard. The sagging back porch stairs are in need of replacement and should not be used as the major means of entry to the house. There are 2 additional entries that have warnings posted against their use unless there is an emergency. It would be nice to stay at this property again if or when improvements are made.

Location location location
My college friends and I spent our annual trip here this year. A super unique historic house in an historic district which is walking distance to EVERYTHING. The water and naked turtle is steps away, as is a sports bar/grille and convenience store, and the towns best breakfast place. All the other restaurants and bars, and an organic grocery are just a couple hundred yards away over the bridge. If you don’t mind a 20 minute walk you can take a beautiful one along the lake on the Empire State trail and that will take you to both the local breweries. The house is like a museum through history, decorated throughout with fascinating art, books, and furniture including a juke box and carousel horse. It’s an old home, so don’t expect a modern touch, but it’s Plattsburgh, there are no modern touches. The back entertainment area is great for hanging out by the fire, there’s also a hammock if you literally want to hang out. We hit a minor snag when we got there but Joanne was all over it, came to the house and took care of business, left us donuts the next morning, and hung for a delightful chat the next day. If you have any problems have no doubt she will respond promptly and take care of it. My only hesitation in renting the place was the ring camera in the back, which made me feel we might not get a lot of privacy hanging out in the back yard but it’s far far away from the actual entertainment area and not anything anyone should be worried about.

Roomy gem in historical neighborhood
This historic house fit our labor day weekend perfectly. Art and quirky decor charmed the four of us, parents and 2 adult sons. Rooms for working separately and also being together.
Owner very easy to reach, and she even found the jewelry I left behind and mailed it to my home.
Walking to the lake and town is easy. Strong internet. The nearby historic home museum is fascinating.
Many stairs, levels, and fragile items wouldn't work with small kids or mobility challenges. The beds could use more reading lights.

Girls weekend away!!
Overall experience was good. The backyard was beautiful and the fire pit was perfect. The house has plenty of space with big bedrooms with tv’s in each room. Bathroom upstairs could use some updating. The floors and furniture need to be cleaned more often. Definitely was a great place to stay just needs a better overall cleaning.

Large space, great for multiple families
The house was very nice and large, definitely a great deal. Joann, the property manager, was very hospitable and accommodating!

This lovely house in Plattsburgh lives up to the listing. Within walking distance to the pier and local restaurants. The owner and her team were super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed this spacious home!

Beautiful Historical Home close to the Lake!
This beautiful antique home is just what we needed for our family. There was plenty of room for two families. Not a place for small children. Many precious items. I was pleasantly surprised that there were in fact 2 Full baths. Only slightly disappointed that the junk box was not working. We were able to walk to the harbor where there is a restaurant The Naked Turtle. Also very close to the quaint downtown Plattsburgh area. We loved sitting in the backyard with our morning coffee. The kitchen had everything we needed although some kitchen items need to be evaluated and discarded. There is a Keurig for coffee and also coffee beans if you want to make your own Expresso coffee. We were able to cook and enjoy a family dinner at the large dining room table. Overall Loved this house! If you enjoy a completely modern house...this is NOT it. But if you love historical, beautiful, vintage....This IS the perfect property for you!
