This was our first time at this property and we loved it and will be back. Very private, well maintained home with great heated pool and very comfortable, with everything we needed both indoors and out. Owner was very easy to deal with and was good at communicating with us and making sure we were satisfied.

Great location, private, great water access, heated pool, well landscaped, lots of parking.

Very nice place. Owners were very helpful and answered any questions we had very quickly.
Close to grocery store and pharmacies. Only a short drive to Key West.

The location of this house is perfect for so many reasons. Anything you need, from hardware, auto/boat parts, fun restaurants, grocery store, to liquor stores. Anything you need is a short drive away. On the water you are a very short boat ride to open water. The house and amenities are awesome! Early morning coffee out under the tiki hut is amazing! Lastly, communication with the home owners was fantastic. They were quick to answer any questions we had, and fast to respond when my wife and I had a miscommunication about who had the keys to the house, resulting in locking ourselves out of the house. We totally recommend this property.

Comfortable, quiet well located property on Big Pine. Close to everything but away from the bustle. Fully stocked kitchen had everything you could ask for. Heated pool was amazing. Used the provided bikes and kayaks often. Will stay here again if the fates allow.🏝

Great experience, exactly want we wanted out of the rental property. Location was the big factor for the ease in and out for our boat and the owner had everything we needed to make it happen. Will rent again and the owner was always just a texted away for any issues that came up.

I have rented homes across the country for over 12 years through VRBO — this owner is the first truly unpleasant “landlord”. We rented home for two months — friends touring Florida stopped in for a night - we have had this situation occur many times — no problem — the “owner” charged us a fee ( even though we wash sheets and towels — return bedroom to original state) — a downstairs bathroom ( set up in a small trailer )- toilet system collapsed ( pipe under gravel fill broke) — he wanted to charge us for repair— accused us of somehow causing break ! Never repaired during rest of our stay —5 weeks. I asked him to install ladder for kayaks — offered to “chip in” cost — he charged me 1/2 cost ( so I use it for a couple months — he has use for years !) We had car packed in driveway and completely moved out by 10:00 AM — but our next home was not available until 4:00 PM so we were sitting in chairs reading to pass the time until cleaners showed up — ( son part of cleaning crew) they arrived after 10:00 AM and proceeded to accuse us of not vacating on time and threatened late checkout fee ! All in all in 12+ years with VRBO these folks are the most obnoxious owners I have ever dealt with — not to mention a home with no dishwasher and a handheld shower in master bathroom with little water pressure. I would say unless you are desperate for a place to rent — look elsewhere!

We had a lot of boxes to check when looking for a place to stay for the month. We also did it with just a couple months before checking in. We didn't have a ton of places to choose from with the short notice and criteria we were looking for and "settled" for this home. The pictures don't do it justice and I believe the description undersells the house. The house is much nicer and offers so much more than the listing states. We were beyond happy with the place and it was far from settling. The yard is fenced in completely on 3 sides so it made it really nice for our dogs. Also, having the dock was a huge convenience as we rented a boat while there. We also had to work from home some of the time we were in the home and it had plenty of table space inside and out to do so. The WiFi was fast and consistent and we had no issues with it. The homeowner was very quick to respond prior/during/after our check-in. The house had plenty of storage and space for myself, my husband, and my mother. We've rented a lot of vacation homes over the years and this one was the best equipped home we've ever stayed in. We also absolutely loved all the trees/landscaping around the home and all the wildlife we got to see each day. I wouldn't hesitate to book this home again if available in the future for a trip.

We spend the month of February in the lower Keys every year. We usually have four couples with us, but the pandemic changed that this year. This house worked great for our smaller group. It was our first time to stay on Big Pine. It was so fun to see the Key deer up close and they always were around during our morning walk. The house is close to grocery store, and to No Name Pub which has been one of our favorites for many years. The house is clean and in good condition. We had a few questions upon arriving, and the owner was quick to respond and to solve a minor problem. There are bikes and kayaks which we greatly enjoyed. Since we did not go out as much as usual (due to Covid ) , we spent much time around the pool which was wonderful. The outdoor area is very comfortable , and the Tiki bar is a great spot to get out of the sun. The outdoor bathroom is very useful when at the pool area, and the shower works great. Even though there are only two bedrooms upstairs, the downstairs area is hugh and would be great for a large group of kids. We really enjoyed our time at this house.

What a beautiful house in Big Pine Key! We stayed for the month of July and could not have been happier. Jim and Donna (the owners) made sure the home was clean and were very responsive if we had questions or any issues during our stay. We had a problem with the internet, and they sent Xfinity out there right away to fix the issue.
Waking up in the mornings and drinking coffee and seeing the key deer was priceless. At night, you can enjoy the sunset on the balcony and see the key deer as well. If you have a boat, it is quick access to open waters.
The outdoor shower and pool were refreshing after a long day fishing. We enjoyed eating outside under the tiki hut.
Downstairs has beds for you to use as well if you need the extra room. The pool was clean and the pool guys would come once a week (very nice men). Great neighborhood too! We took our dog for daily walks and the neighbors were all very nice. The kitchen had everything you needed and we LOVED the couch and enjoyed it as well.
Thank you again Jim and Donna for sharing your home with us.
