Excelente lugar para conocer la laguna de Quilotoa

Son una familia muy cálida y amorosa. La comida es deliciosa, las habitaciones muy cómodas y la atención incomparable. 100% recomendado. Espero regresar pronto!

Wow what a cool stay, COME HERE

A nice and friendly family running this hostal with a lot of love. Our room was amazing, the bath and shower top! The WiFi was good enough and the food was excellent. Free banana bread, tea, coffee and water made it just perfect. Go here and not in the overhyped cloud forest.

Perfect - amazing value, best option in town

Best option in town, so much cheaper than the American run one next door! Comfy beds, great food and unlimited free banana bread. Run by a local family. 100% would recommend, great value. Perfect for 2nd night on quilatoa trek

Absolute gem of a hostel!

This is an absolute gem of a hostel in Chugchilan! Perfect spot for the Quilotoa loop hike! Chef Clarita prepared us a lovely vegetarian lunch on request when we arrived which was just what we needed! Amazing pasta bake for dinner and lovely breakfast in the morning! Endless supply of world class banana Bread and cookies provided for free! Lots of nice personal touches including a birthday cake for one of the guests! Room was also alpine like, spread over two floors!

Comida deliciosa, vistas hermosas y paz total

Con mi esposo nos quedamos en el hostal de doña Clarita 4 noches y nos hubiera gustado quedarnos más! La comida estuvo excelente, el cuarto lindo y cómodo, el baño funcional. Clarita y su familia nos acogieron calurosamente, y siempre estaban listos para charlar y pasar un momento juntos, hasta nos invitaron a ver un torneo de football en el estadio cerca del hostal! Lucas estuvo siempre disponible para ayudarnos a organizar nuestras actividades (caminatas, cabalgatas etc.) Un día hicimos una cabalgata al bosque nublado con don Humberto y les recomendamos que no duden en pedir que les ayuden en organizar esta actividad que fue bellísima! Sin duda vamos a volver!

Tolle Unterkunft am Quilotoa-Loop

Top Unterkunft, bequeme Betten mit kuscheligen Decken. Sehr nette Besitzer, es gibt den ganzen Tag Tee, Kaffee, Bananenbrot kostenlos. Frühstück und Abendessen sind lecker, für 2,50 gibts ne Lunchbox für den letzten Quilotoa-Tag.

Es waren nicht viele andere Reisende im Hostel

We had a lovely time in the hostal. The owners were very lovely. We had great food and enjoyed the free coffee, water and banana cakes. We also ask for lunch box for the next day and it was very tasty. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable.

Beautiful family run hostal.

We loved our stay at Dona Clarita. The accommodation was super clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly want. But the best thing about our stay was the care and enthusiasm from the family who own the hostal. From the moment we arrived we felt part of the family and felt really well cared for.

Superb

Staff were incredibly friendly. Food was great, loved the family style where everyone ate together. Unlimited banana bread was obviously a highlight. We stayed in a double bed with en-suite and it was excellent. I would recommend!

Would highly recommend staying at Doña Clarita during the Quilotoa trek!

Breakfast was amazing, the staff were all absolutely wonderful, and our room was incredibly cosy. This small and newer hostel is perfect for a stay during the Quilotoa trek. We were rested, well-fed, and ready to tackle the next days hike!

One of the best Hostels on my Ecuador trip! The owners are very friendly and the food was amazing. The rooms were comfy with mountain hut vibes! Would definitely recommend to stay here, if you have time even multiple days just to relax or explore the area.

Heardwarming hosts and a nice hostal!

The hosts were really nice and helpful! We had the feeling of being in a family. It was really clean and all the food was vegetarian and really good! We had a nice evening and a nice stay overall. 10/10 Recommend!!!

Must stay here!!

The family were so warm friendly and welcoming. They were funny, lovely to talk to and extremely hospitable! Lovely clean chalet style rooms with balcony and view of the mountains. Amazing value, tasty food, free tea coffee water and banana bread.

Everything was more than perfect! Very friendly and welcoming family who recently opened this hostel. Rooms are big and clean, beds are comfortable. The food and lunch box are very delicious. It was fantastic! We stayed there with 8 other hikers, had dinner and breakfast together. Nice location with view, friendly owner-family, nice room, clean, hot water shower, tasty vegetarian food. Coffee, tea, water and banana bread are all day free. They also prepare packed lunch of needed. I would definitely come again!

Very nice host family (with a very cute little child), very comfi bed, great shower, tasty food. I forgot my phone charger there and by the afternoon it was waiting for me at the reception of my hostel in Quilotoa with my name on it - they are very happy to help!

More like something to note - no meat option (only vegetarian). That's pro for some and con for others. Anyway, the food was delicious and genarous.

When we arrived they kindly let us have a room with a private bathroom for the same price as a room with shared bathroom. The whole family is very sweet, the smiles will make you feel at home. The dinner was delicious, we even got a little desert. The breakfast was really filling, many different things to eat, we didn't even finish what was served. The hostel is very peaceful, I would highly recommend!

10/10 everyone come stay here! if you’re looking for tranquility and a family atmosphere amongst the mountains, this

the room was clean and the bed had lots of bedding, and the bathroom was so cute! the restaurant/relaxing area was charming too. Doña Clarita and her family are so welcoming and hospitable, it was lovely to get to know the family while I ate dinner and breakfast. but if you’re looking for solitude, they give you space! tea, coffee, and water as well as gratis breakfast and dinner.

Seriously juste woaw! We arrived with a group of three people and we stayed in a very confortable room. There is a shower with hot water, the place is really quiet and you really feel like at home. The personal was really friendly with us, we got high quality breakfast and dinner during the two days we stayed there. Doña Clarita and her family are really great people and they will make everything for your stay to be a great experience. Highly recommend this place, ideal for young backpakkers looking for a nice place with the best quality-price report. Probably the best experience with booking in Ecuador until now. Muchas gracias doña Clarita. Todo se ha pasado perfecto :)
