About this house rental
After living is this beautiful home for 14 years our family has decided to move to a larger property just outside the Dwellingup town site. As we still love the home and the location we decided against selling and have chosen instead to make it available for you, your friends and family to come and enjoy a slice of Jarrah Forest heaven.
Chuditch Holiday Home has everything you will need to relax and enjoy your time away. Comfortable couches to curl up on with a good book, toys and games for the whole family, outdoor decking and BBQ in a beautiful garden where you can take a cat nap or watch the native birds busying themselves collecting nectar and insects and building nests. We even get the odd visit from a blue tongue lizard :) In winter you can stoke the wood fire to keep cozy and warm and in summer cool off with the reverse cycle air conditioner.
In autumn you will enjoy the delights of the changing leaves which lead you to winter when the steam train starts running and begins its journey just across the road from our house. Even after 14 years we still run out the front to see it go past.
Come spring the garden is full of blossom and birds leading into summer when you can relax in the shade on the decking and enjoy an cool drink whist making the most of the long evenings with a BBQ dinner. If the season is right you might even get a cherry or peach or two from one of the fruit trees.
There is plenty to do in Dwellingup and it is all just around the corner. From the cafes, cidery, and pub to the Forest Discovery Centre, Trees Adventures, Hotham Vallery Rail, Lane Poole Reserve, orchards and skate / pump park you will need to come back for a second visit just to fit it all in.

Made it a weekend with the main aim to get on the Hotham Valley Dinner Train. Great location.

House really worked for us. The kids room and sand pit outside helped alot. As my 4yr old had something to play with and did not try to destroy the rest of house.
Kitchen was well equipped, house in a great location, and still quiet surroundings. Will definitely stay again.
Hopefully next time there wiĺl be some wood for the wood heater, on cold nights with family, its nicer to be around a wood heater then a/c in kitchen.

We could not fault our stay at Chuditch Holiday House. It was a true home away from home, I just wish we could have stayed longer. We will just have to come back as some of our plans were impacted by a bush fire.
Perfectly clean, perfect location and perfect for kids. The little toy room was a real bonus as were the blackout blinds that kept the rooms dark for sleep ins and naps.

Very convenient location of house. The layout of the rooms and beds was perfect for accommodating our 3 generation family. Toy room was a bonus and was well loved. Only suggestion is to have a bit more firewood for the chilly nights (although there is a wall heater). Nothing beats curling up next to the wood fire. Thanks for having us.

Host was so easy to get in touch with, so friendly and the house was clean and perfectly located. Don't miss staying here if you have the chance!!!

Great location, comfy home
A group of four heading to Dwellingup for the weekend to go on the Hotham Valley Restaurant Train. Location of house was great. The pub is at the end of the street and train station a 5min walk. House has everything you need although we had to buy our own wood for the fire, some supplied but not enough. Very comfy beds. Would stay again

Weekend Visit
The house was very roomy and comfortable for a large family. The master bedroom is huge, and the other bedrooms are very spacious. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy sitting out in the backyard. Would certainly stay at Chuditch House again.

Disappointing staycation
While the house owner seemed a very nice person when I spoke to her on the phone, it does not negate the fact that the house was a disgrace. Where to start: Laundry left behind from previous tenant, washing machine dirty and I scrubbed it before use, kitchen cupboards, utensils, pots and pans, refridgerator and stove/oven disgusting. I cleaned 3 pantry draws and 1 kitchen draw so as we could put our goods inside. ALL need a good clean. Blinds, flyscreens and window and sliding door runners all need to have dust and dead insects removed as well as cobwebs. Electric Jug is rusting and the toaster hasn't been cleaned since I don't know when. I washed enough plates, cups, glasses and cutlery before using, yuck! The main bathroom had all sand in the bottom of the shower , once again windows and screens needed cleaning. Toilet, thank god was clean, except for cobwebs. Ensuite bathroom needs a good scrub, mould all around the shower screen. Cobwebs and dirty fly screens. Floors needed a good mop as were not clean and felt sticky underfoot. There was no vacumn cleaner or mop and bucket to do the floors (they were broken by a previous tenant and therefore not replaced), what was there was a dirty, filty broom, (hair and dust caked onto it) and a dust pan and brush that we would not touch. The reason we originally booked this home was because of the supposed attractive outside BBQ area. DISGUSTING! Broken dirty furniture and a BBQ that I would not cook my dog food on. Cloths Line had only two useable sides. Grass was overgrown and outside needed to have a good going over to remove dead plants and overgrown vines. The eaves to this home were also all broken and sections missing. Curtain Rail in one bedroom was just hanging by one screw, so no touching this or it would have fallen. One badly positioned split system airconditioner and one very, very hot house. we decided that we had enough and left a day early. I have taken photos so if you need further proof please advise and I shall gladly forward to you. In the owners defence when I complained loudly she did get a lady to come and try and clean, so we vacated the house for her, but she was only able to do 3hours as she couldn't continue because of heat and tiredness. Even she said the house needed a good professional clean. I would believe that this owner has not walked into this house in quite a while as no one in good conscience could accept a booking with the house in this condition.

My husband and I decided to have a short holiday among the trees instead of heading for a coastal place. We, chose Dwellingup because we had been there for a day trip and liked what we saw. This house would be ideal for families, or a group of people. It has all the amenities you would need, plenty of space to spread out. Our host sounded lovely and easy to contact. The house is in easy walking distance from the hotel and cafe but quiet. The Munda Biddi bike trail is very close by for people who want to use it. Dwellingup is a nice small town but it is very quiet during the week. Places we wanted to go to like the Forest Discovery centre had notices to say only open at weekends. This may be different during school holidays.
