Cute and clean. Had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable. We would go back again if we were to stay in the Turkey Run area.

This place is quite beautiful. Gardens and landscape well done. Great deck with very nice hot tub. It is located out in the country. Sugar creek is close, many steps to get to it. The house is small but homey…
We enjoyed going to Shades and Turkey Run, house is pretty close to both.

Our stay was nothing short of perfection! The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and relaxing. Our boys absolutely loved walking down to Sugar Creek to fish! The porch and surrounding outdoor areas are picture perfect.

We were looking for a quiet place for mother/daughter trip. This was PERFECT. We were able to spend time hiking, kayaking and just chilling playing cards and hanging out in the hot tub. It was a wonderful trip!

A lovely home on a river and away (but not too far) from the hustle bustle. The number and variety of birds was the only noise except for the clip clop of an occasional horse and buggy. We were there during the solar eclipse and didn’t need to fight traffic or crowds. If you forget to bring a book to read, there is a large selection available. Enjoyed every minute.

This was a great place to stay. We explored the area around the cabin. My boys (3 and 5 years old) loved searching the river banks for rocks, shells and other treasures. Once the heavy rain came, the banks were covered, but there were new waterfalls on the walk down. The daffodils surrounding the property were in bloom and made for a nice view when using the fire pit and hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the chance to stay at this property.

The property is exactly as described! We were able to use it as a home base and go spend the days hiking at Shades and Turkey Run as well as antiquing in Rockville and a drive to see covered bridges. The hot tub was great with the birds overhead and a view of the river. We enjoyed the porch swing as well. When the description says remote, believe that! WiFi was as described, and be sure to bring all your grocery supplies with you. We will definitely hope to come back again!

We were staying here to be close to the state parks for some hiking. This was the perfect getaway! Cute house with plenty of space, a great outdoor area, and a massive hot tub! The owners were very communicative, which I appreciate! They also recommended a specific hiking trail, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed! I would definitely think of making this a repeat vacation spot!

Wonderful home for my family of four adults to getaway in Parke Co. We loved the firepit and spa for the cool evenings and had everything we needed in the generous kitchen. The den with its cozy gas fireplace was a delight as we relaxed each evening! Be aware this is a very remote area with no restaurants nearby but we loved our time in Amish Country to unwind. Very little phone service as well. I highly recommend Jason and Lis as hosts and hope to visit again!

This house is very remote (three cars drove by all weekend) the internet is weak and it’s just my kind of place. Bring a book for the gas fire inside, a swim suit for the hot tub, a pudgy pie maker for the fire cauldron and do make the trek down the 84 steps to the creek.

Old country charm with well chosen upgrades. We enjoyed the home and grounds... beautiful photo opps outdoors. We stayed during Covered Bridge Festival, so didn't use the kitchen very often. However, in checking out the tools, would be easy to cook in this home with most every need provided.
The owners were, warm, respectful and engaging... loved that they were so close if needed.
The seasonal decor was beautiful and welcoming... would love to see at Christmas!
We will return!

Great place, Jason and Liz actually met us when we were exploring the Sugar Creek bridge just down the road from the property. Very nice people. Cabin was clean and very spacious with a large deck around the cabin. Hot tub was nice to have to relax those aching muscles after hiking. The creek runs behind the cabin and stairs will take you down to the creek side. Property is between Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park, both parks are very scenic. If you go the #3 trail in Turkey Run is the best. Would definitely rent again from Jason and Liz.

My spouse and I recently spent 5 nights at Eagles Rise and had a wonderful stay. It was clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. The pictures and description are accurate but don’t quite do justice to the real thing. Everything from the rustic structure, to the quality furnishings, to the handmade landscaping felt sturdy and lasting. Nothing felt flimsy or cheap as so many rentals do.
We especially loved the all of the intentionally created nooks to sit in and relish the beauty of the the surrounding nature. Jason and Lis obviously created and maintain this space with love and pride. We hope to bring our friends for future visits.

Quiet comfortable setting inviting rest and relaxation, full kitchen, 2 showers, fire pit, hot tub, and bags for play. We had no internet - also welcome. We were five friends 70 yo. Recommended.

If your looking for a peaceful quiet getaway, this place is for you. Country charm inside with just beautiful areas outside. We enjoyed the deck area the most and had our meals there. Owners were very pleasant to deal with and provided some lovely tips on the surrounding area as well. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

My husband and I wanted a close, yet feels like we’re transported to another world vacation, and Eagles Rise was absolutely PERFECT. Jason and Lis could not have been more kind, helpful, communicative, or thoughtful. We were running behind to arrive and they even offered to turn on the porch light for us! It’s the little details that mean so much and truly made us feel so welcome. It felt like our stress melted away when we got there.
Danny and I enjoyed every minute! The cabin was so clean, comfortable, and cozy. We spent hours on the deck lounging, reading, and talking. All the furniture was very comfortable. We cooked out over the fire pit, and ventured down to the creek! The landscaping is gorgeous, and we loved just watching the butterflies and hummingbirds fly around the flowers. I can’t say enough how lovely it was, or what great hosts Jason and Lis are. We definitely hope to be back! Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Our stay included me, my wife and our adult son. The property was exactly as it was described in the listing. The landscaping was beautiful, and the cabin was lovely. My wife got a lot of use out of the kitchen, which was very well furnished. We really enjoyed the fresh vegetables from the garden. Thank you! I usually can't sleep in a bed due to back pain, but I was very comfortable in my bed there. I would have liked some grab bars in the bathrooms, and some banisters near the hot tub and down into the living room. My wife used the hot tub once and had a lot of difficulty getting out of it. So, I didn't try to use the hot tub due to my limited mobility. I know it's hard to anticipate everyone's needs; I'm just giving you some food for thought. My son really enjoyed the hot tub! We had some extended family members visit us at the cabin, and everyone was impressed with the property.

The house and property were just what we wanted, away from everything and by the water. We enjoyed both state parks and hiking as well as tubing the creek, we all had a wonderful time.

My son found the listing back in December, searching for a place on Sugar Creek, where we spent many summers when they were growing up.
Eagles Rise was a perfect fit!! Beautiful accommodations AND next to a beautiful quiet stretch of Sugar Creek! The creek was low and crystal clear so my grandkids played for hours, catching minnows and jumping off rocks😊
Cozy and so homey with plenty of spaces (bunkhouse) for the kids to play and sleep.
We used the fire pit 2 nights (s’mores) and the hot tub too!!
The landscaping was exquisite! So many beautiful flowers and a garden with veggies!
Walking the creek fishing was also popular with my sons:)
Having another half bath would be good with a full cabin but we shared.
Overall- as my grandson Liam said “10 out of 10”
We will be back!!

Our newly expanded family met here as a halfway point for a relaxing vacation. Our daughter and son-in-law were coming from Des Moines, Iowa and the rest of us from Pittsburgh. Your place was so beautiful, peaceful, and we made so many great memories there. We have loved hiking trail three at Turkey Run State Park, Tubing down the creek was so memorable - and of course fishing and seeing so much wildlife. Also, eating dinner on the beautiful deck was an extra treat. Your place exceeded our expectations.
Thank you for sharing your charming place with us. If we are ever in Indiana again, we would love to return.

This was such a wonderful place to spend time while we explored the local state parks. Clean, comfy and everything you’d need. I could have moved in happily. If you are looking to get away from it all and spend time in nature this is the place. We will definitely be back.
