We had a good time, it was nice but needs a few updates, stove in kitchen, and towels were dingy looking.
Beds were very comfortable, also the kids enjoyed the creek.
Overall a very nice trip.

Beautiful cabin, great fishing, and excellent property.

This cabin can certainly sleep a lot of people. There are just a few things to consider. The grill was mostly rusted out, so didn’t heat well. The stove works but didn’t seem to get to high temperatures. Perhaps I am just used to gas?The oven works perfectly. There are plenty of pans and dishes, spices, even coffee and filters which was a surprise. The beds with the exception of the separate cabin (nice!) are upstairs, and the bathrooms are downstairs FYI.There is plenty of room to romp if you have kids, and a place for a fire and plenty of firewood. Overall very nice.

Beautiful place. Loved the rustic, classy feel. We girls enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We were four couples with two children staying on this property for a long weekend. The outdoor areas were spacious and beautiful especially given the sunny weather we had! The cabins themselves are well-appointed and very cozy - not a ton of extra space for hanging out indoors if you have a full group. The king bedroom is more of a loft which makes it difficult for people to use the kitchen or downstairs bathrooms in the morning without waking people up (especially for those staying in the adjacent guest cabin). We also found that the A/C didn't cool the upstairs bedrooms sufficiently although we were visiting during this summer's heat wave so perhaps that's not usually an issue. The WiFi was also not very good -- probably not reliable if you plan to be working remotely here or requiring much bandwidth. Overall, we loved our stay here and thought it was a really fun and unique getaway!

Nice cabins but yet a lot of issues need addressed!
Rented this cabin for 6 adults and it was perfect for this size but no more! The cleanliness was not very good. Bedspread had blood stains so I had to lay on top & used a throw blanket I brought from home to cover up. The water pressure was horrible. I didn’t feel clean after a shower. The A/C unit was not working well for the whole cabin. The bedrooms were too hot! The gas grill didn’t have enough gas in it to finish one meal. Although I was disappointed in a lot, I did feel this could be a great space for a getaway if these issues were to be taken care of. I wasn’t offered any money back for the issues we dealt with so I can safely say, I will not return. These issues should be taken seriously and they should have felt an obligation to make it right with the guests.

Beautiful property!
It was hard to leave the peace and tranquility of this cabin. Amenities were great! My only complaint is that the AC wasn't turned on in advance of our stay and the first night was unbearably hot in the bedrooms upstairs. It would have been fine if there were screens on the windows as it was cool outside, but there was only one screen in the entire place that we saw. Suggestions: Small bedside table in the master would be helpful. Also, shower heads need to be replaced.
Wonderful cabin! Highly recommend.

Perfect location
We went for a family fishing trip. Our kids ages 5-13 had the best time exploring and fishing in the creeks surrounding the property. Oil Creek State park was a 15 min drive but not far in distance. The location was perfect. The stream that runs behind the house is very tranquil. You can’t beat falling asleep to the sound of a true babbling brook. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The pictures are a little deceiving on the listing(although explained if you read through the description) but just be aware that there are three bedrooms in the main cabin, they are all upstairs together and there is a winding staircase to get to them. The bathrooms are on the main floor so would not be great for smaller children but my kids loved it! Also all the rooms are open above the doors so there is little privacy in the main cabin between bedrooms(you can hear each other easily from one bedroom to another) but again the kids thought this was great. The yard on the property is huge and the kids played wiffleball, etc. there everyday. The kitchen and amenities are fully stocked so no need to bring extras. Overall we were happy with our stay and would consider a return visit.

Quiet family get away
We enjoyed our family get away...lots of room/beds for everyone. Enjoyed the creek (didn't catch any fish but had fun trying), a camp fire and trip to the rail trails and train ride. Everyone had a good time!

Amazing place
Had a great experience house was very beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. Only negative thing I can say is the power went out at some point in the night on Saturday and didn’t come back on until about 9am on Sunday

Hope you like going up and down stairs
The online pics are very misleading, the master bedroom is upstairs while the tiny "Master" bathroom is downstairs. The spiral staircase creaks loudly during the night excursions from all bedrooms down to both bathrooms. Not advisable for handicap access, everything is extrememly crowded vs. cozy as advertised. But the property was well kept and clean, easy to find and the manager gave us easy access.

Perfect Getaway
This cabin have everything you need for small or big family gatherings. Is perfect for family with kids with plenty of space to play and run. I can say only one thing and is about the cleaning, for the cleaning charge you expect everything shinny and ready but the floors, tables and bathrooms were dirty with dust and pieces of things like gloves and the toilet and tub were dirty. I had to get there to start cleaning everything, if you don’t mind cleaning when you get there you will enjoy the place!

We do an annual “glamping” trip with family friends. This location was perfect for our group.
We were very pleased with our experience. The contract we had about instructions and check in was very thorough.

Not as big, pictures were deceiving, nice place though
The buildings are much smaller than it looks in the pictures and the outside of the building was not well kept and there were cobwebs everywhere. Overall the place was nice and we had a good time.

Perfect Getaway
We love the mountains and this was a perfect getaway within a few hours of where we live. The cabin was great - clean, comfortable and had all the things we needed for an amazing stay. Loved listening to the sound of the creek from the upstairs bedroom at night and early morning. It was just what we needed to relax and refresh! Would highly recommend!!

Relaxing
Great place to stay to do a little fishing and hunting. Everything you need is there. Wifi limitations were a little frustrating but get off your phone for a few days.

The cabin is beautiful and just as pictured. Chris was very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed for a wonderful experience. The eight of us enjoyed our time at the Trout house. We loved the soothing sound of Little Sugar Creek and the beauty of nature around us. We saw so many stars at night! We saw deer come walk along the creek. We had our one year old grandson and were thankful for the baby gate to block him from the stairs and a pack n play to keep him from roaming at night because the upper level bedrooms are open to the main floor and the guest cabin does not have the room for a pack n play. We were warned ahead of time about the unreliable cell service and limited wifi, so no surprises there. It was great to be unplugged while we spent time together. The beds were so comfortable! Everything we needed was there! The Game Hut was a bonus feature. A few things renters may want to know is that the lighting over the dining table is very dim which made it a challenge for us to play board games. Also, the main cabin has the bedrooms on the upper level and the two bathrooms on the main level, so you need to go down the spiral stairs to use the bathrooms. The spiral stairs could be difficult for some. The Guest Cabin is all on one level with a bedroom and bathroom, but is separate from the main cabin. Also, the living space in the main cabin is smaller than we expected. There are plenty of beds to accommodate a large group, but a large group would be cramped in the living room - dining room space. Overall, the space worked out fine for the eight of us.Thank you, Chris!

Didn't want to leave!
So relaxing getting away from it all. The constant sound and beautiful sight of the water flowing over the rocks in the creek that was only steps away from the cabin was the ultimate. Enjoyed fishing, biking, hiking, games, and eating in general! Hubby caught a 12" trout on the property the first day! The accommodations and amenities were perfect.

Summer Vacation Unplugged
Had a great time staying at the Trouthouse this past week. We had 3 families totaling 14 people staying at the house and had plenty of room. The kids enjoyed playing in the stream right behind the house, building waterfalls and looking for crayfish. Had a couple of bon fires during the week when the weather permitted. The kids also utilized the game room which has a few board games and a foosball table. It was nice to unplug from everything during the week and just focus on family time. We experienced a huge storm the first night which flooded the entire front yard, but everything subsided within the day. The caretakers were quick to respond to whatever was needed, and very helpful. I would definitely stay at the trouthouse again!

The Trouthouse was perfect for our family.
There was nine adults in our group. It was very relaxing and refreshing. I loved being able to disconnect from technology and have fun together. Our kids are all grown. We were able to play corn hole, can jam, whiffle ball, cards, and sit around the camp fire. The kitchen was great. We are talking about making this an annual trip. There was a great box of pamphlets for the area. Thank you for the great time!

Quiet rainy week
We had a great stay, the weather was dreary, but the cabin was warm, dry, comfortable. Caught a few fish, enjoyed a fire in the stove every night, made some great meals in the well equipped kitchen

Beautiful property and well stocked
Beautiful property and well stocked-especially the kitchen. The trout stream was right near the house so hearing the water running was awesome! Our only complaint was that the bedrooms in the main cabin were open to the living space. We had babies and toddlers so this presented a bit of a challenge at first. It worked out, but it would be helpful to make that more clear in the description. Overall, nice property!

Thanksgiving
When we arrived there was a note on the oven that they are awaiting a part and it was unusable. We were there to celebrate Thanksgiving. We were never notified! We could have brought alternate means to cook the turkey. That was a big bad Ugh! Come on! Then the wifi went out while we were watching the Sabres game! They only have a limited time of wifi use a month and it was already used! Another big Ugh! There was no heat in the game room! Nice place but....Ugh!

We loved our stay at the trout house. The house was so comfortable.
We enjoyed several family meals in the well appointed kitchen. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed hearing the creek at night while we snuggled in the wonderful comforters. The stove at night was so nice. We enjoyed the orchard a few miles away. Would love to come back soon.

Breathtaking
A few of my close friends and myself recently stayed at this cabin and I have to tell you, we were blown away by it! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, there are two bathrooms in the main cabin and the most incredible kitchen I think I’ve ever seen :) we all fell asleep to the calming sound of the trout streams and nothing can compare! We will for sure be returning! It was such a great time! We all enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend this cabin, and the owner is hands down THE kindest, most genuine person!

Beautiful Rustic Country Charm
Booked this cabin for a family gathering, to enjoy the end of summer and usher in Fall. Although the weather did NOT cooperate with our overall plans, with unseasonably cold and rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend, from youngest to Grandpa, who was especially happy with the attached accessible mini-cabin with no stairs, allowing him to join us. Though the weather didn't allow us to get outdoors to enjoy the large grounds and fire ring, the peaceful sounds of the two creeks that the cabin nestles between provided much needed relaxation. The cabin easily accommodated 7-9 of us without feeling crowded and we were able to cook and enjoy a great meal together at the large country table. The kitchen was unbelievably stocked with all needs and we were surprised at the obvious attention to detail that the owners put in to accommodating the cabin for use. The additional little game room cabin was a nice touch with a Foosball game, card table/chairs, and sofa with a large inventory of games available both there and at the main cabin. Although we did leave a day early due to the weather and inability to finish our plans for the complete stay, we are already discussing returning in the late spring or early summer when the weather is less likely to hamper our overall plans. If you enjoy that rustic charm and wilderness feel of the outdoors, we highly recommend considering a stay at the Trout House cabin for your group gathering. The area is loaded with nature activities and we highly recommend the Oil Creek and Titusville train trip, a few miles from the cabin. Though we missed the Fall Foliage due to late change in the area, the entire trip was fun and rich with the amazing history of the area. Overall, despite the unseasonable inclement weather altering much of our itinerary, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and can imagine how great it must be in fairer weather. Thanks to the owners for putting such care and thought into the Trout House. It was a memorable experience for all of us that we hope to repeat in the future!

Charming Cabin in Peaceful setting
The cabin was very well kept with instructions and information for everything! Made our stay comfortable and easy. The creek was right out the back door. We enjoyed eating our meals outside. Our two young girls loved climbing up the winding staircase, swinging on the tree swing and ringing the huge dinner Bell. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!!!

Great place to leave behind the hustle and bustle of a busy life.
Spacious grounds next to a small fishing stream. Unusual set up with 3 separate buildings but for 2 familiars with school age kids to share.

Great cabin retreat!
Lots of space. Nice creek setting. Best part is how far the owners go to make this place a perfect get away. It was spotless. Beds were wonderful. Kitchen was great, however they could use more cookware. The cabins are beautiful and we didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this property and really appreciate the effort that the owners put in to this lovely home.

Peaceful country home
Really enjoyed the beauty of the area and the wellmade house. Internet is minimal but we were able to adjust. It's good to get away and relax. This is a great spot. Owner very helpful, caretakers close by and very available to solve any issues that arise. Lots of cool stuff at the house to do.
