Everything about this place is amazing. Like staying in the coolest museum ever, but with all the modern amenities…very comfy and cozy and the location couldn’t be better. Patrick and his wife were also awesome. So happy we stayed here!

We positively felt transported back in time. The tour of the home with ViJay is a must as it really set the stage for a impeccable experience The home is beautiful, clean and welcoming. It was our favorite accommodation on our Eastern adventure.

Love the feeling of how you walk into the house and your automatically transfered back in time and get to have a perspective of how a house in those times would be. The location is perfect and close to everything making the perfect stay.

Although we didn’t end up staying, this place was very interesting. it reminded me of a museum. I had a bad foot, so we decided I shouldn’t travel to the third floor. No fault of the Daniels House B & B.

Very clean and unique, parking spot essential as parking in Salem is a real challenge
There were no cups for water or any water except from the tap. Everything else was great.

Such an incredibly beautiful house to stay in. So many special details, trinkets and artworks to peruse throughout the home. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Some really lovely breakfast options to choose from in the mornings. Location was fantastic. Would love to stay again if I ever make it back to Salem.

PJ and Adele have done a great job of keeping this historical house in perfect condition! They have brought in the modern pluses of a microwave, shower and comfortable bed while still allowing us to feel like we are back in time 350 years ago! With a degree in Historic Preservation, PJ was even able to expand more on the building, which made our experience even more interesting! This is the best way to experience Salem, a town with so much history! This is the perfect place to be if you appreciate American history, not for people that don't appreciate the quality of old craftsmanship. You would do better in a modern hotel, but then why are you visiting Salem? :)
Breakfast is very simple, with coffee, tea and bread and a few pastries. To really step it up a notch, you might consider contracting with a great local bakery, if you were able to order the day before based on occupied rooms? Another thought would be a tray warmer and putting out a quiche as a fancier option?
I only write this because it is a Bed and Breakfast, but as a guest you can easily find many great breakfast and coffee options within an easy walk from the Daniel's House.

The History in the building in unreal and is very well preserved. we stayed in “The Great Room” and it was absolutely beautiful and 1 of the oldest rooms in the house. Vijay was so lovely and even though we came in off season, he still made time to show us parts of the house that the guests wouldn’t have access too due to it being in its most original form from the 1600’s. We fell in love with the property, the town and the people. We are super lucky to have seen the town and are even more excited to come back and see it in full swing in the month of October.
We loved everything !

The home itself is amazing- like you are stepping right into history. The highlight of our stay was our tour with Vijay. This is a special property and a must stay if you are visiting. If you aren’t able to book a room here, make sure to at least book a tour!

great location; room was quite large, as well as the bathroom (we had the Great Room); it is a very old house, so low ceilings and lots of creaking floorboards and noise from other guests - nothing out of the ordinary for this kind of accomodation
the breakfast was a voucher at a local restaurant; walk was 10 minutes; the food was excellent and plentiful, but it would have been nice to have breakfast and/or coffee at the place

We didn’t have breakfast at the B&B but received a voucher for an amazing breakfast spot.
I would have liked to have a private bathroom but it wasn’t an issue at all. And we knew when we booked that it was a shared bathroom.

The room was fantastic
We would’ve liked to be able to have breakfast at the Daniels House but we understand why it wasn’t available and we had a great experience at Reds.

the house is incredible. It is only a short walk to most attractions of Salem. The rooms have been furnished beautifully with a loving eye to detail. Due to Covid-19 there was no breakfast served in the dining room. Instead there was an offer of delicious muffins, coffee and tea in the morning. Additionally we got a voucher for the Red Sandwich Shop in the amount of $ 10.
booking.com has the breakfast as exceptional but it was not. We had to drive to the Restaurant for which we had the voucher. It was a good, all American breakfast but definitely not exceptional. on top of that the service wasn’t the friendliest. I would have liked to know beforehand that the breakfast wouldn’t be served in the house. That being said I would stay at Daniels house again since it is just a great place.
