We absolutely love this cute little house. The outside sitting area just as beautiful as the inside. We loved the view of Pikes Peak and the Manitou incline. Both of which we did. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything needed for cooking meals. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We loved staying in this little bungalow! Such an awesome spot.. right by the Garden of Gods and downtown Manitou. We’ll definitely be back!

Cute place. I agree with all of the positive reviews except for:
1) The floor was a bit dirty with dog hair and so on.
2) The toilet area was a really tight fit.
3) Although the location was very convenient and beautiful, the homeless problem was quite significant in the area. No problem for me, but I could see how it could be a turnoff for some people.
4) Some maintenance is needed for the fridge and the garden wall behind the porch.
Overall it was still a good value for me, but some improvement would make it even better.

there really was nothing wrong with my stay at your place. Parking was kind of cramped , but no problems. Lovely little spot. I was concerned at first about no air conditioning, but it turned out to be comfortable enough. The kitchen and laundry had everything I needed . it was a good stay.

This is our second time at this cute Bungalow.
Property is as described. Location is wonderful! We saw deer every night. Nice park with pickleball and tennis within walking distance. We really enjoyed the Cheyenne mountain zoo, Garden of the Gods and walking the shops of Manitou Springs.

Truly a cute bungalow that had spectacular views of the mountains and everything was near by. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy the mountainous scenery plus get out a little bit. This is perfect!

This little bungalow was colorful, cozy, and comfortable. The several steps were narrow, but no trouble for us and accurately advertised. We passed by the place the first time because it is kind of tucked back. The driveway is short, but it was fine for our little rental car. A short drive to Garden of the Gods, downtown Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs. The deck was great for sitting outside and enjoying the mountain view. It was fun seeing the kids playing on the soccer field across the street too. Everything was well-labeled in the house with great directions. Plenty of towels and toiletries and everything we needed.

I love this quirky little house! It was such a comfortable and warm place to stay. I sat on the deck with my coffee, looking at the snowy mountains. For a small place, they really have everything you could even need. It was very welcoming. Bed is comfy. The only thing, is it really only has room for one vehicle.

We stayed at this fun, cozy cottage for 3 days. It was a great location to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo & Garden of the Gods(around the corner). Loved enjoying the view of the beautiful snow covered Pike’s Peak & red rock in the yard out of the kitchen window or from the deck.

My young adult daughter & I stayed here for 3 days. We visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and visited the Garden of the Gods each day. The view from the kitchen window is a red rock formation in the side yard & Pike’s Peak, so beautiful! Great location!

Our stay at Red Rocks Retreat was nothing short of amazing for our first Colorado experience. My husband and I did not want to leave!
It was so nice to be right in between downtown Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods. We loved exploring all day and then coming back home to warm & cozy 22 El Paso. I personally adored the keepsakes/pictures/memories and such around the house reminding you of the original owner, Georgia. She seemed like a precious soul! Manitou Springs and Red Rocks retreat will always hold a special place in my heart!!
Thank you for this wonderful experience. I hope to be back one day!

We had a very nice stay. We were very close to downtown Manitou Springs and Garden if the Gods! The home is old but charming and I would recommend it to a friend mostly for the location.

Difficulty maneuvering around stairs. This should be pointed out on ad. Especially if handicapped or climbing issues. The place needs sprucing up. Couch pillows are old and should be replaced. Old refrigerator no ice maker. Too much clutter.

It was secluded, but we could walk to breakfast. Also, the entrance to the Garden of the Gods was so very close. Was fun watching soccer practice across the road. Also, the deer made appearances.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Only problem we had was our last night went to use BBQ grill and either we did not know how to operate it or it was out of propane. Was to late to get ahold of property management. We will use them again next time we are in Manitou Springs. Thanks

We loved our stay here!
We loved our stay here. The home is very clean and has not been updated in a while and I hope it never changes!! The way it was decorated was just perfectly colorful and fun. From watching classic movies on VHS to exploring the Garden of the God's and dining out at Pub Dog with our pup, Beans, it was a great quick stop here in Manitou Springs along our cross country road trip. We were very grateful to stay in Georgia's home. Definitely recommend booking your stay here!

Good Vibes and Magic at Night
From start to end renting and staying at the property was awesome. Super cozy private and unique with literally all the little things that make a different place feel like home. The town was so much fun to explore and every night deer grazed around the house, great animal watching! Thank you so much! I will be visiting 22 El Paso again!

Gorgeous cozy bungalow
We absolutely loved staying here! Seeing a stag and doe pass by our Kitchen window throughout the day was amazing, especially in the morning while sipping our coffee or tea. We had a solo sort of thanksgiving dinner here- just my husband and our dogs for a low key holiday away from home in Wyoming and to celebrate my 37th birthday. The multiple TVs were great for our cooking duties we didn’t miss one minute of the Macy’s day parade, and/or thanksgiving football games as we cooked and enjoyed ourselves. We absolutely loved the layout and the warmth this place provided. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and one of the best stocked we’ve experienced in terms of cooking a big meal in a rental. The multi levels of the outdoor patio are awesome and gorgeous- our dogs really enjoyed themselves as did my husband and I- though one of the pups did make it an adventure to try to get on top of the garage roof due to the fencing being a bit wider in one area but we used patio furniture to keep him from squeezing through. We had a day hike at Garden of the Gods the day after thanksgiving and it was breathtaking and so close to the rental. We Loved the decor and the fun flower red carpet in the kitchen. Bed was well made and very comfortable. Well stocked with towels and linens. We loved using the VCR/ DVD player and watching some of the VHS and DVD selections on the shelves it took us back to another time and provided some nostalgia for a relaxing comfortable getaway! Would stay here again.

Small charming home in walkable town.
TV is small with limited cable. However, there’s enough going on in the area, it’s probably not an issue.

Adorable with a beautiful view
My mom and I stayed here for a fun girls trip. We were blown away with just how cute the place was. We loved the old style of everything in the place. You see the mountains from the living room and it’s nice and cozy. I stayed on the futon and was surprised at how comfortable it was! There were plenty of blankets and pillows to choose from. Also, there was a road closed on our way so we called the owners, who immediately picked up and lead us in the right direction and made sure we got there safe. She was so incredibly sweet and thanked us for choosing there to stay. I would stay there again if we had the chance! Thank you so much for a home away from home, it was a pleasure!

Is Manitou Springs and garden of the gods
After a long drive it was nice to come in too meant to AVRBO experience that was has advertised.. There are quite a few steps from the street up to the apartment but certainly worth it. The place reminded us of an experience we had in Italy so we had fun. Is the proximity 2 downtown Manitou Springs was excellent and also were just around the corner from garden of the gods

Back in time.
It is a beautifully eclectic house and looks exactly like the pictures. Coming into the house you come through a nice courtyard that could use some sprucing up but is nice. It has three sets of narrow stairs to get up to the house’s front door. I would stay here again as it has a lovely personality and charm but anyone that has issues with stairs may have some difficulties.

It was a quick visit
We were only there 2 nights, but it was perfect for what we wanted and very comfortable. We walked to Garden of the Gods for a fun morning of hiking and nature. I would definitely stay here again.
2.5 / 5.0
This was a very enjoyable stay. We were already familiar with the area having rented a cabin near Cripple Creek in 2004 and, more recently, staying at the Garden of the Gods Campground just a block away. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and much much more. The entrance to the house includes a narrow passageway with, as I recall, 18 steps. The first full day we were there, I had a misstep off the curb at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center and had a hard fall, bruising my ribs on the right side. I'm a big guy and navigating the entrance was more difficult after the fall. During our stay, we were visited one day by a black squirrel and another day by a deer. While the house is in town, it feels secluded. It was warmer than normal for the second week of June, but the house stayed relatively comfortable.
