if you're looking for a quiet getaway with you and your partner or you and the family definitely worth the money

Located in a quiet neighborhood close to Cal Poly campus. Clean and well maintained with comfortable beds, stocked kitchen. Enjoyed our stay.

I slept like a log in the very comfy bed. Comfortable and clean townhome and great for a college visit with my teen. Tv in living room was great. Odd to have tvs in the bedrooms without cable, fire stick or Roku. So TVs with no signal. Not a deal-breaker, just a little funny.

this is a nice and quiet location. very spacious and perfect for a small family.

The property description is misleading “…view of the Redwood Coast…” - you do see redwoods but you would need a chainsaw to see the coast. The driveway is very steep as described but the key code to get into the house is eleven numbers long and you have 10 seconds to enter it — only took use 5 times the first to to finally get in the door!! Once in the door we were greeted with a gust of stale musty air; if you have allergies this place is NOT for you. From the fixture to the flooring this place needs a remodel job for the price we paid. We had a few issues with the WiFi and found the person we contacted to be of little help and when we asked about how to log in to the Netflix account we were told we needed to use our own which is not what was advertised. It was nice having the option of the washer and dryer on site but the place had such a rank/smell to it that by time we left everything we have just smelled like it — frustrating. The smell wasn’t because of a poor cleaning job, it is just the bones of the place. Over all after a long day of hiking this was not a place we looked forward to coming back too. Next time we travel to Northern California we will opt to stay further north (Trinidad or Crescent City) where the view and the seafood restaurant were so much better.

Very clean and comfortable! Close to campus and Arcata plaza. Beautiful setting with lush forest—felt like being in a treehouse! The only difficulty was entering the lock code on the front door—it was 10 digits long and had to be entered within 10 seconds! It took several tries but we got better at it. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location near the downtown restaurants, very close trails in the woods near the condo and beautiful coastal drive to the redwoods. Hikes everywhere and just beautiful! On top of the weather was perfect over our 5 day stay. Would stay again

This large condo was perfect. Clean and perfect location to drive anywhere in 3-5 minutes or bike/walk if you want to site see. We hiked into Cal Poly to the main trailhead of Arcata Community Forest, quick 5 minute walk and you are in the forest. Drive to Trinidad easy every time. Arcata is an awesome town. Loved the balcony, too. It was like a treehouse. The college land starts in front so it has a nice, large border of woods. We will be back to the best town in America. 10 out of 10 stars, no complaints.

The property is in the redwoods, so you would expect after paying a $241 host fee that the host would know to properly secure the trashcans from bears. However, the cans had nothing but a flimsy bungee and were under the stairs next to the parking spot with what I assume was the last guests food remains in it. We woke up after our first night and the can was lodged tight against our SUV and trash was everywhere. The bungee was still on, but the bear just stretched it out and got out the food. The can was jammed between the stairs and out wheel well, and did some minor damage to the vehicle . The host refused to pay for the damage because their insurance wouldn’t pay, even though they admitted this was the second time it happened and only NOW were tgey going to build a proper enclosure for the cans. I mean, we’re in the redwoods. They have multiple properties, I assume. That should be obvious before even a single incident happens. Yet the guests are greeted with a plethora of rules when they arrive including “no shoes in the home” and “no smoking on the patio”. I understand no smoking in the house but on the patio? (We don’t even smoke, but this is ridiculous). So yes. We were not super happy. The neighbor said the bear comes every couple of weeks so this is all very predictable. They did refund 75 for a busted washing machine, but they should have refunded the entire visit, frankly. Their negligence led to damage to the car and a bear that knows to look there for food.

We enjoyed our stay - the home was clean and comfy. Beautiful views of the Forest and perfect location for all our North Coast activities - hiking, drives College Cove, Patrick's Point, Trinidad, Eel River and The Trees of Mystery. It was so nice after being gone all day - to come back to the comforts of home.
Communication was excellent and instructions very clear.
Only con would be parking, if you have a large SUV - the space worked perfect for our small Mazda SUV.

This place was great for visiting the CPH campus and worked well for our family. It was stocked with the basics and we had a comfortable stay. Our bed was comfortable and my daughter said the loft bed was comfortable as well. My other daughter didn't like the feel of the foam topper on the queen in their room, but after testing it myself, it felt fine to me.
I'm giving it four stars only because the place was pretty dusty when we arrived--not in the main areas of use, but all the blinds, under the beds and area not used as much had a lot of dust, so my nose was twitching the entire time we stayed. It was also very musty when we arrived and we had to air the place out for a bit--maybe no one had visited in awhile? (or it could just be because that's Humboldt!). Additionally, if you are very sensitive to noise, you could definitely hear the downstairs tenant when they were on the phone (they were otherwise quiet and not their fault). The rest of the house was very clean though and I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the campus.

We were visiting Arcata to check out the campus at Cal Poly Humboldt for our daughter. The condo was perfectly located within walking distance of the campus and the Community Forest. We were able toured the campus and then mountain bike the CF all in one day.

We really enjoyed our stay, the townhouse was very comfortable and conveniently located. A bigger main room T.V. and cable would have been a nice bonus, but it was still a very enjoyable experience. 🙂

Very cozy place, well maintained and comfortable. Would consider staying there again

Loved the reading nook and the built in kids bunk. Minutes away from one of the best hiking trails I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

Close to town, yet you feel a world away in the forest. Better than the pictures. Perfect for a little get-away.

A very nice house.
The house was very clean and modern. A quiet location with forest views. Especially liked the electric fireplace and minimalist decor. Not suitable for a senior because of step steps up to main door.

Perfect location
Wonderful location for visiting Cal Poly Humboldt. Beautiful area and lovely to hear the bells of the campus. The beds are nice and comfy and the couches perfect to curl up on and watch tv or read. Walking trails nearby lead you to the campus or just to stroll around. Super clean. Loved the reading materials left to learn more about the history of the area.

Easy check in. Very comfortable.

The location was good, although the condition of the road getting to it isn't great-- torn up asphalt, sink hole in front of house next door with street closure. That was a bit concerning. I also arrived to find that the toilet hadn't been cleaned and in fact someone had used the bathroom (peed) without flushing. That put a pretty big question in my mind for whether the home had even really been cleaned, so I ended up cleaning all counters, etc. before feeling comfortable. The heater also wouldn't come on and I left a message for the contact person, who didn't return my call. I called again several hours later and got someone who did come relight the pilot light (which was the problem). A lamp in the back bedroom didn't work.
The home is lovely, but a bit outdated-- not a huge deal though, just very noticeable once in the place.

Tired and worn
Stayed a few nights to hike at Prarie Creek. The condo is an older unit that is roomy and quiet. The carpet is newer, but everything else is tired and worn, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Possibly the most uncomfortable sofa ever!

Clean home with clean bedding and comfortable beds. The BBQ is not the one in the photo and is much smaller than the one pictured, so we had to change our plans for a Father’s Day dinner. Disappointing. Bring your own knife if you plan to cook.
There’s a little dog that barks nonstop next door, so as long as you are out and about during the day and not planning to relax at the townhouse, you should be fine.

Cute, convenient and well placed
Great little townhouse right above HSU. Walkable, if you like hills, and well appointed for staying in or enjoying Arcata. Great spot overall!

Great HSU adjacent spot!
We loved our stay at the cozy townhouse, which was pleasantly spacious and well-situated. All the directions were great, and we were very comfortable during our stay. The hike to campus through the redwoods is lovely, and we appreciated being only a short drive away from downtown Aracata (in clement weather a bike ride into town would be perfect!) We’ll definitely be recommending this location to friends and family.

Right next to HSU and a short drive to downtown Arcata. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. I would stay again.

Great place
The whole house was impeccable. Set up in a very quiet area. The small deck is beautiful because it is almost surrounded by trees. Great to have a drink, read, and observe the serenity of the area. According to my daughter who lives in Arcata this is a neighborhood where students live. We don’t give it 5 stars because it was very easy to hear the downstairs neighbors and also because we couldn’t find if there was a hostess to help when we had problems with the tv. Besides that it is a great apartment to spend a few days

Great location but don’t plan on doing much cooking with their supplies.
The longer we stayed the more we felt the kitchen needed better cooking utensils, cutlery, skillets, and over all supplies. Microwave very out dated and hardly heated up anything. Lampshade tattered on one living room lamp, scare light at kitchen table. We rent VRBo’;s because we want to cook but we were sorely prepared for what was provided in the way of cooking. Feedback to owners should include their need to buy new microwave and utensils/cutlery/skillet. Knives all dull, could barely cut up veggies or our french bread. We’re not fussy but come on, enough with garage sale items!

Nice townhouse
Roomy, comfortable, loved the deck. Glad I brought my own coffee supplies as I couldn’t find filters for the coffee maker. Terrace is a very small street, more of an alley. Had a little hard time finding the property as it was up a hill I thought was someone else’s driveway. But that’s me. This place is well located close to town, and the forest. Near fwy but not so near you hear it. Peaceful and quiet here.

Townhouse near campus
Just up the road from this townhouse, there's a trail through the beautiful redwood forest leading straight to campus. We were there to take our son to college, so we loved being able to hike there. The house is also comfortable with good beds and plenty of seating in the living room (though rattan wouldn't be my choice). Nice touches include soft towels, good-quality hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom, and soap for the dishwasher, clothes washer, etc. This is a simple, good-quality accommodation that is very convenient to HSU.

Super cute townhouse
It was nice and quiet and clean. We were surprised that someone was living downstairs. We hoped that we didn’t bother him because we have kids. Otherwise, it was great.

Cozy and clean
It could use some newer kitchen utensils. The pots and pans are very old and scratched. Location was nice and quiet. It’s relaxing to stare at the redwood trees from the balcony.

Beautiful Home
Everything about this house was great. We honeymooned here and had a great time.
My only reservation is that the post claims you won't be interacting with other guests but there is a tenant below. The floor in the master bedroom is thin there is no privacy in that room. You can hear Everything.

Cozy getaway!
I traveled up North with my 2 young children. The location and condo was amazing! It has everything we needed and the deck was an added bonus with an amazing view! I would definitely rent it again!

Townhouse in the redwoods
The townhouse gives you the feeling of being in the forest outside the city, yet is so convenient and close to downtown Arcata and all it has to offer. We have made this our home when visiting, and hope to use the outdoor deck and BBQ when it warms up. the neighbors are quiet and whats is charming is you can hear the clock strikes on the hour from the university in the distance. The kitchen is well supplied and the laundry is easy to use. The double sinks and drawers in the bathroom make it easy to spread out and there are plenty of blanket and pillows for the comfortable beds. It is also nice having a tv in each bedroom.

Roomy and Comfortable Home
We enjoyed the spaciousness of this townhouse. Both bedrooms are of a generous size and the bathroom is too. Having a washer and dryer in the unit also makes me happy!
