This house has the most amazing views. You can walk to the beach or the bay in just minutes. And there are no other house around. It was very clean and bed were super comfy. The hot tub was so amazing after long hikes in the red woods! I went with my adult kids so the little garage cottage was very convenient.
The house is very basic no beach towels, chairs and just enough kitchen stuff for basic meals. Opening the windows for air and listening to the waves is amazing but most windows didn’t have screens and the upstairs room would get rather warm during the day. Some fans up there would have been nice. The water pressure is pretty bad. Guys won’t have an issue but us ladies will. You will be right by the docks and they start working at 6:30am so gets a little load with the windows open.
All the resteraunt were good especially the one close by the docks. However most close at 4 or 6. We had to drive to McKinleyville after returning home from the northern redwoods for food. It’s only 15 min south and had fast foods resteraunt for later meals.
We did enjoy our stay the beaches are beautiful but it is a very small town. But close to so many national parks

It's in a harsh environment to maintain houses in so it's a bit rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable enough inside. The bathrooms look recently redone and very clean. Kitchen is dated, as are other things but as long as you aren't expecting the Four Seasons it's a great value for what you get. For the rate we paid for 7 people we could not have done better at a budget motel in Eureka and the location is the best you can get in Trinidad, If your main objective is to just take in the beach and and the tidepools and have a nice relaxing couple of days, this is the perfect spot. We woke up to beautiful sunrises on the harbor and just relaxed to the max. If you like surfing there were several people out there catching some good waves in the morning. Wifi worked good and was nice and fast. We'll definitely look this place up again.

This house was a great place to stay while we explored nearby Redwood National and State Parks. The house was clean and comfortable. The views were fantastic. The kitchen has a nice island and flow to it. There is no stove in the kitchen. But with 4 burners, a nice toaster oven, microwave and a grill out on the deck the lack of a stove hardly matter. The town of Trinidad is very cool. Couple of good restaurants and a nice grocery store. Very friendly locals in town as well.
If we are ever back in the Pacific North West we will definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay but the internet in the guesthouse did not work at all.

The location is perfect, spectacular views from 3 sides of the house. Short stroll to the beach if you want to touch the sand but the deck gives you the best view. Kitchen is well stocked and the house was very clean. Only downside (if any) is the curtains don't provide much privacy. At night you're very visible from the dock even with the curtains closed. Will come back.

I had discussed my impression of this property several times, and don't wish to do so again. Asked for response on comments and suggestions - but received neither. Location was excellent, but the property needs more attention.

I have stayed here 4 times with my extended family. I love the location and separate cottage. It is always super clean. (Don’t expect wifi or cable in the cottage) We chartered the Jumping Jack with Captain Bob for a wonderful 1/2 day of fishing.

Our home away from home while exploring the Redwoods and nearby beaches! Great little beach cottage with amazing views! So much to do in Trinidad and surrounding area. We would definitely stay again!

This is ON Trinidad Head, the only house there, a fantastic spot. You can walk down to the beach (on the bay or ocean, take your pick), walk to some restaurants. There's a grocery store in this tiny town as well. Very convenient location for hitting all the redwood locations. You can hit the tidal pools on foot every day from this spot.

No floor covering in bathroom
There were no floor coverings in main bathroom which caused floors to be wet after showers which led to my son slipping and falling.

Great beach house
This was our third visit. We love the location and the house is well maintained. We recommend kayaking at the Big Lagoon.

Nice property & great location. Striking sunsets & a sheltered beach for the little ones. Hot tub a hit. Needs updates on stovetop, microwave, & DVD player. Bring a drying rack for all the wet towels.

Nice but shows age
The property is nice but rather old and it’s starting to show in some places. The shower head is comfortable for someone under 5’ tall only, and lots of grime in the corners. There is no oven, and I don’t recall the ad noting that there isn’t a full kitchen. The manager was very helpful but we just realized this morning (3 months since we stayed) that they were continuing to use our Netflix from Eureka where the manager was located. An hour after we logged them out of our Netflix and changed our password they left us a review, triggering this review from us.

5 days at seascape
The bathroom in the main house could use remodeling .The bush by the front door studio needs trimming. Bigger garbage can and animal prove in closure.

Cozy, Cool Getaway
This review was submitted before the home was managed by Vacasa.
My husband and I loved staying at the Peaceful Creekside Cabin. It was tucked away on a quiet dirt road. Quiet enough that saw a whole herd of elk on our last day. You're surrounded by beautiful scenery with Big Lagoon within biking distance and many other attractions (inside and outside) just a short drive away. The cabin itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We completely fell in love with our vacation rental There are fabulous views out every window!! We felt somewhat secluded perched on the top of the hill overlooking the bay. Trinidad is a fabulous and friendly little California town.

Getaway from it all

Wonderful place to stay. We lost power for two days because of the fires in California and the home had a generator hookup that powered the whole house. I felt so blessed to be there during it. Gorgeous location and beautiful home.

Such a unique awesome place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed the location. What views from both the front and back of the property and from the hiking trail right outside the driveway. We came during the black out and property manager- Doris, went above and beyond for our family 4. She made sure we found the place in the dark and hooked us up with flashlights. The place was a perfect homebase for exploring the red woods, and trinidad is a destination all in itself with numerous beaches, sea life, restaurants, hiking, surfing, kayaking, etc. We enjoyed the harbor and the sunsets AND sunrises. Water pressure was great, hot water was HOT, beds comfortable, fire place provided the perfect amount of heat for the little bit of chill at night (and thank god for that during the blackout). We saw otters, seals, and sea lions. Highly recommend this place and Trinidad in general.

The farmhouse was clean and well supplied for all the cooking we did there. It had comfortable beds for us all and just felt good to be in. It was close to the various activities we did, a great area to explore. I would recommend it others.

A wonderful 80 birthday with family
This review was submitted before the home was managed by Vacasa.
It was perfect in every aspect to meet our family needs for this special time of celebration. We had no issues with getting into the home or any any problems relating to the property. We loved this home and its location and would love to stay here again, for my wife's 80th birthday.

After a 12 days journey through southern California we (family of five) were looking very much forward to our stay on the North Coast. I can only say that all expectations were exceeded, and, of course, this was because from almost every window there was a great view. We changed rooms over our five nights, so all of us could enjoy each room for at least one night each. We would love to come back.
