We barely had to use our car once arriving. The back porch and yard was awesome for afternoon hangouts and napping on the swing. Location was perfect - close walk to TONS to do in town and having the bikes and toys for the kid (6) was a bonus. Highest recommendation from all of the friends and family that stayed.

This cute home had everything we needed to make it a relaxing and fun-filled week. It was so nice to have small things already there- hand soap, paper towel, some coffee, dish soap, etc. Great central location to many Northern Michigan sites and activities and a beautiful back yard. We will be back!

Super Cozy House, just a few blocks to the beach!!!
Suzanne, the owner made our week away so enjoyable! She was absolutely the perfect host, and was always available for anything we might need!
Her house is very clean, organized and stocked with absolutely everything you need—even baking pans and cake plates(for my daughters who love to bake,) a huge tub of kids toys and books, and even bikes and corn hole!
The backyard is amazing with an adorable porch swing, table and chairs, grill and a fire pit!
Downtown Elk Rapids, our favorite kid’s park and library in Northern Michigan, and tons of good shopping and dining options are all just blocks away!!!
Thank you Suzanne for sharing your beautiful home with our family:)

Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay at the Cedar Street Cottage. The house was very nice and we especially enjoyed the back porch, and spent time on the swing. The location was good for going to town and accessing local restaurants and shops as well as the beach. However, we felt that the instructional
signs around the home were a bit intrusive and took away from the relaxing vacation experience. We traveled with our two young children, ages 2 and 4, who also really enjoyed the house and playing both inside and outside. The home was very clean, and the furnishings and decor were very nice.

Family Time Fun and Fishing
Wow!! Wow!! and Wow!! for these first time visitors to this area. From a late last minute need, to wishing a safe travels home, Suzanne was a host to rave about for her efforts and her property. Because of a last minute need to make a change of plans, our search found this gem of a home and hostess. The Elk Rapids 3 Bedroom/1 1/2 Bath will not disappoint. To say this is updated with all that you could ask for, would be an understatement. Beautiful throughout the inside and outside does not say enough. We did not have near enough days to enjoy all of the amenities of the home or the surrounding areas. The beds were great, and I am very hard to please for sleeping is a struggle for me when traveling. Kitchen seemed fully stocked. We did not find anything missing that we needed. There was a generous supply of paper products even. You just don't find that! Small travel sizes of bathroom needs were provided also if needed. Living room furniture was so comfy. We were traveling with an 8 month old learning to crawl. He did not come off of the floor looking like he had been on an unkept floor. We were so pleased that first time picking him up from playing.
Suzanne is a joy. She kept in contact if needed, and checked in on us. If I wanted to text or email, she was there, but she was never intrusive. She was just about perfect in everyway, as was this home. What would make it perfect you asked? If we lived closer would make it like winning a lottery. Stop looking and book!

Wonderful home in Elk Rapids!
This is a great property. Beautiful inside and out, very clean, and a great location. The open floorplan was great for hanging out as a family. The private backyard, big covered porch and fire pit were wonderful. It’s an easy walk to downtown, parks and marina. Communication was excellent. Being able to store our bikes in the garage was an added bonus. We’d love to stay again!

Perfect Long Weekend
We had a wonderful time in Elk Rapids at Cedar Street Cottage over Labor Day weekend. The house was exactly as pictured and even nicer than expected in terms of cleanliness and nice touches like a welcome basket and thorough instructions and guide book on everything! Suzanne was attentive and responsive to all questions and checked-in to make sure we had everything we needed. We cooked most meals at the house since our trip was during covid restrictions and the kitchen, grill and fire-pit made that very enjoyable and easy with everything we needed - even coffee, snacks and pantry staples. The location of the house is very convenient to attractions like Torch Lake and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Downtown Elk Rapids was very cute with the best donuts at Flour bakery. An excellent stay - we would definitely return! Thank you!

Great Place! Great Location! Great Hostess!
Cedar Street Cottage was just as pictured on the VRBO listing. The homey decor was beautiful and so relaxing. Loved the back porch in the early morning to drink our coffee. Nice sized back yard perfect to play spike ball (we brought). Suzanne adds little extra touches that were appreciated such as a welcome binder, little notes throughout the house and toiletries in the bathroom. There was even a "welcome" basket on the island filled with goodies and a hand-written note. No one does that anymore!
Suzanne was in touch throughout the week to check in or to tell us about someone was coming to the house (to water the flowers) and see if we had any questions about check out, etc.
I see us going back there in the future. And, I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks. Thank you, Suzanne, we had a wonderful time!

We had a very pleasant experience renting this cute cottage.
Communication with the owner was quick and easy. She clearly wants to provide an excellent guest experience. The cottage was clean and everything looked new. The kitchen was well appointed.
The location was good. Only a few blocks from the Main Street
in Elk Rapids and close to a park and beach. Bicycles were available for further exploring. Elk Rapids is a quiet, friendly
little town.
