Loved everything about it. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay at the Trail House this year as we have in years past. The home is always clean, comfortable and pleasant and the kitchen well-stocked with supplies. There are always plenty of towels in the bathroom. The Wifi is dependable, the windows clean and, most important, the coffee maker always functions.
Even with Hwy. 41 being mere yards away the place is still quiet.
I highly recommend the Trail House for your Keweenaw adventures.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The place was clean and neat and updated. We had everything we needed. The Trail House had a nice deck that wrapped around the back and we spent much of our time there. It was private and perfect. Mohawk was centrally located to the Keeweenaw and we were able to easily see most of the Keeweenaw without driving too far..

The location was very convenient. Right in the middle of all the places we visited so the drive time wasn't that long. The house was very cozy! It was already stocked with normal household items you would need like towels for the bathroom, laundry detergent for the washroom, silverware and plates etc.....The Slim's restaurant right across the street had amazing breakfast food. All in all it was a great vacation. Thanks again!

This home was compact, but very clean and had many thoughtful touches like well-placed night lights, a good bread knife, etc. The hosts checked in with us to be sure we had no problems and we were doing fine. The home is on a highway, so there is a bit road noise, but it is located so that neither Copper Harbor or Houghton seemed too far to go. The house book had some good recommendations for restaurants and we had a nice meal at Fitzgerald's. It was great to have the ability to do some laundry while we were there. We were there in early May, so some things were not open (Slim's,for example), but then we did not have tourist crowds and traffic to deal with, so we still had a good stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little house. It's very tastefully decorated and had everything our family of 5 needed. It's conveniently located about halfway between Houghton and Copper Harbor, where we spent most of our time. Also, Slim's Cafe across the street serves a great breakfast.

the mohawk trail house is perfect for us - centrally located to visit family, stroll thru calumet, have sundaes in ahmeek, drive along lake shore drive to eagle harbor, eagle river and continue to copper harbor :)

The property was nice and clean. You could travel anywhere im 30 minutes. Very nice for small number of people. I would recommend a mew sofa bed. The springs are felt and it has lost it's integrity to support a good night's sleep. For people with disabilities especially those wheelchair dependent, it may not be the best proper property. The hallways are narrow and zig zag. Someone would need to assist and if it is a wide based wheelchair definitely cannot make it to the back of the home. Maybe pictures of the hallway would be helpful for people when viewing the property. Also doorways measurements vould be helpful as well. Every situation is different so be sure to ask for more information. The property owners are great and helpful.

We visited many beaches looking for agates and pretty rocks. We ate at Petersons for our favorite whitefish. We had delicious bloody marys at Schutes Bar. We had scrumptious pizza in Eagle River. We fed a few mosquitoes and froze a few feet in beautiful Lake Superior. We stopped to see the monks and bought great bread at the Wood'n Spoon. We had a wonderful time and hope to come again.

Came up snowmobiling with my wife. Great location, easy trail access, great breakfast across the street and dinner next door. Parking is roomy. Super clean and nice. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for our small group of four. We snowmobiled and enjoyed being able to leave right from the yard with easy trail access and parking room for a trailer.
Slims cafe is a hidden gem. We enjoyed their fresh cinnamon buns and pasties to go. Great spot for breakfast and the service is great!
Glacia Tavern is right next door and has a great selection of beverages and great food. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation.
Houghton is about a 20 minute drive and offers some great places to visit. We checked out Keweenaw Brewing for some great craft beers. The Embassador has some of the best pizza and is highly recommended. Overall I would rate this place 5 stars. Second time here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I stayed at this property while visiting with family in the area. Communication with the property host was informative and prompt. The cleanliness and warmth of the house was exceptional, and the little "extra touches" made it a true home away from home for me. Thank you!

Very clean and comfortable! So much nicer than staying in a hotel.

The Trail House was awesome! It was spotless and there were enough blankets on the bed along with extra options for more if needed. This might sound crazy, but the heater in the house kicked butt! Entertainment options were fantastic! The only suggestion I would make is to add a hook directly outside the shower so the person inside the shower can have a ready towel available. Thanks for a terrific stay! Your tip on the Glacia Bar and Grill next-door was fantastic! That food was to die for. Hope to see you again someday.

We love the western Keweenaw beaches and this was the perfect location for a getaway to a lot of beaches within an hour. East & west! We were so fortunate to see the Northern Lights twice during our week stay! The house is very clean! Pics don't do it justice. Sun comes in the living room to welcome another day! Nice natural light in the kitchen too. The deck is very nice overlooking a nice "wilderness" setting. Restaurants! 2! One across the street open until 2. Bar & grill "next door" open in the evenings. All there was left to do was kick back and enjoy everything Keweenaw!

We loved the location on US-41, it was comfortable, had a washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and TV. Communication with the host was excellent. We would stay here again the next time we visit the Keweenaw.

Great location
The Trail House was the perfect middle location to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula! There was plenty of space for my family of five to sleep, get ready and make meals. The yard space gave my children room to run around and play catch while we grilled dinner.

Awesome stay
The trail house is a perfect stay for a getaway in the beautiful Keweenaw peninsula.
The house is super clean, provides enough space for 4 adults and is in a perfect location. Close enough to everything you need and away enough to get some quiet time also.
Check in and check out is super easy. The beds are very comfortable and the communication with the host is excellent! Thank you Bette for all your patience and willingness to answer all our silly questions:)
Trail house has everything you need and even a beautiful porch with BBQ to sit out at night and look for northern lights.
We had to smile a little about ourselves, I guess we are spoiled trolls ( living below the bridge) and we dearly missed our AC. But after a day we got kinda used to the cozy 82 degrees in the house. We were mighty thankful for the fans provided! Thank you!
Without a question or second thought: we will be back!

home away from home
This was SO MUCH better than staying in a hotel or a B&B. We had everything we needed for our first trip to the upper peninsula, in a quiet town, but close enough to get wherever we needed to go. Owners were very quick to communicate, too. Adorable and comfortable!
