Loved the decor and how safe and accessible the property was. Staff were super kind and helpful!
Stay wasn’t long enough

We loved our stay - rooms were beautiful, clean and check in was seamless. Gas had run out in the air con in one room, they immediately fixed.
The villas share a beautiful pool and communal kitchen, which works really well.
very close to wonderful beach great for kids.
kitchen could use some more plates, glasses and cutlery.

This place has a lovely ambiance and an attractive design (it is just as depicted). The garden and pool are well maintained (the pool is safe for children) and the local family of brown monkeys swing into the garden every day. The kitchen is very well stocked with stylish crockery. The ac and ceiling fan are excellent and the room is cool and mosquito free. Hard working caretaker Rangi pops in everyday (he’s actually also a History teacher and is great to chat to). Oasis is in a lovely, safe village with a friendly community - I had no problems returning in the dark alone at night. It is a couple of minutes from the beautiful beach and 20 minutes (on foot) to town where there are several banks, atms, beer shops, pharmacies and supermarkets . Nuga House is 2 minutes away which provides a local hub, there is a local store and a lovely local restaurant close by. SL has had a tricky year, but it is COMPLETELY safe, fully resourced and there is a happy atmosphere.
Nothing - SL has had a tricky 12 months - they have done well to keep going!

Located in the best area of Ahangama. You are close to everything, but quieter. The rooms and the common outdoor area are very tastefully done. We loved having a kitchen, perfect for breakfast or first coffee in the morning!
Neus, the host, was super friendly with us, always available and open to help us with everything. We'll come back for sure!
We liked everything

I loved the place. So comfy and the whole vibe of the place is chilling and peaceful. The availability of outdoor kitchen and cooking facilities was very useful. Overall beautiful.

The location was out of the way and nice and quiet. The decor was nice and simple. It had decent outdoor kitchen facilities. The wi-fi was good and reliable and the AC worked great.
No one was there on arrival to check us in, as a result we were a confused about how the place operated, could we use the kitchen freely etc. There was also no info in our room to help with any of this. When a manager did appear a few days later she spoke to us to ask us whether we anyone had tried to access any of the other rooms in the night - however she didn't ask us if we needed anything on our stay or, if in fact someone was trying to access the other rooms, if we were alright.
As a result we decided to leave a day early. On our last day we made arrangements to check out at 12 as per the booking confirmation, someone arrived at 10.30 and we hadn't had a chance to get cash out yet. We agreed that we would meet them back at the villa for 12 to pay and check out. When we arrived back no one showed up for over half an hour. The person who turned up seemed irritated and mentioned that the other person had come back twice and didn't find us there, despite us agreeing with them that we would meet back at 12. All in all the service could have been friendlier and more welcoming. We were left a little to our own devices.
The room and outdoor areas could do with a little retouch and though overall it looked okay, the place wasn't the cleanest since the set up leaves dusty cavernous spaces under the bed and sofa etc. There was no where to hang up clothes. Also, our safe didn't work.
This experience just didn't feel like value for money given the pricing is the upper median for the season and area.

well decorated, nice bed and bathroom, very comfortable!
should have a generator (like other villas in the region) in this period with many power cuts. We stayed hours without air conditioning and the staff didn’t apologize for the situation or let us know in advance about properly conditions. could also pau more attention to details and pool cleaning

Separated from the main Nuga House, the Oasis Villa offers a more private accommodation comprising only three apartments while providing all the facilities of the main Nuga House.

Super location, with a wonderful outside lounge area, we spent some great time there now willing to even leave to dinner.
family room was a bit too small for us because we were 3 grown ups, but otherwise really cool.
i think for Sri Lanka this property was great, daily room service and cleaning was handy too. the guys at the Nuga house (same owner) were excellent, they helped us with literally anything we needed. We had our own tuk tuk driver with us for more than 5 days, who was super humble and became our family. i loved both oasis and having my breakfasts at Nuga. it feels like a family there.

no noise, very quiet
Very poor comunication. Different hotel name in written messages. We didnt know where to check in/out. Run down facilities. Floor was peeling of and sticking on feet. Pool wasnt inviting. Sitting area pillows full of stains. Bathroom carpet was dirty an hairy. Chairs falling apart. Didnt look like on the pictures.

The villa was well located and it was the same as shown in the images. The interiors were bohemian and sheik. It was close to the beach and a few restaurants. The bathtub in our bathroom was pretty cool.
Our room door lock was not working, for which we contacted but the issue wasn't resolved. So we literally had to keep our room unlocked even when we went out which made us feel unsafe. The digital lockers in every room are just showpieces as they didn't work. There was no external adapter in our room so we had to charge our phones and laptop outside the room. The power pressure pump was right on the top of the roof of our room so anytime any of the rooms used water there was noise in our room which was the most annoying part. There was a common water dispenser outside which was usually empty so some of the basic things for a BnB were not fulfilled.

The room had a very boho feel and we liked the white vibe of the interiors.
The service was terrible, and the owner wasn’t helpful at all. Moreover, even though it mentions that the property accepts cards they did not accept a Credit Card and we had to travel a round trip of about 30 mins to arrange cash for them.

It could use more maintenance and daily cleaning facilities, due to the common area getting dirty very easily.
The place is great but would be better if maintained.
The pool could use a new and modern look.
Avi and his team are super responsive and supportive. They catered to any request we needed. The rooms are lovely and cosy.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
A few of the facilities could have been improved like more sheets/ toilet paper in the rooms. Also, the doors and pool were a little run down, but it did not impact our stay!

We booked the entire villa. Couldn’t have asked any better. Everything is modern, clean and spacious and beautifully built. The open living and kitchen area makes your stay even better.
The caretaker didn’t even ask us to checkout, just told us to leave whenever we like as they had no checkins that day.
You should either book the entire villa or not book at all. Living, kitchen and pool is shared for all 3 rooms.
The only other issue is, none of the washrooms can be used with rooms unlocked. They are have no doors or doors with clear glass to go with some kind of a design. Its cool, but not practical.
