Casa confortável numa zona traquila

É uma casa bastante confortável e limpa. Está numa zona tranquila e perto de bastantes atrações da ilha. A Catarina esteve sempre disponível para o que fosse necessário.

A rampa para chegar ao estacionamento é um pouco desafiante, por ser bastante íngreme e com curva no final.

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our 11 night stay at Casa dos Valentes! The hosts were very, very friendly and helpful, they even helped print documents for us, and when we left today, they let us stay longer than normal check-out, since our plane left late in the afternoon. We couldn't be happier about this place, it was nice and comfy, clean and well-equipped and the views were lovely. We highly recommend Casa dos Valentes, Santo Espirito and Santa Maria, and hope to come back one day!

Superb

Very spacious and comfortable house for 2 people it was very well equipped and the host left some coffee, bread, jam and cookies to try from the area, it was a very nice detail. Owner was also very flexible with check in which we appreciated. Bathroom was big as well as bedroom. In terms of location is a bit more in the country side which we enjoyed as it was more quiet.

Bed and pillows are a bit old so my back and neck were hurting a bit, it's the only thing would recommend the owner to improve on.

it was in a peaceful location fabulous views over the surrounding countryside and the house had everything you need a definite home from home.

Fantastic!

This was our second stay in Casa dos Valentes and our experience was just as wonderful. We love the peace and quiet in this comfortable home in the beautiful countryside near Santo Espirito. We stayed for 6 days and were lucky to have sunshine every day. The hosts, Catarina and Pedro, were extremely helpful and friendly. Pedro speaks good English and came up to chat a couple of times. We will definitely stay here again!

Idyllic property in Santo Espirito

It was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. We loved hearing the rural sounds, and the place was so easy to find. We were greeted as we drove up the driveway and check in was seamless. When we opened the door, we were greeted with a loaf of homemade bread, cookies, and jam from the Cooperative Bakery up the street along with milk and a large bottle of water. We cooked breakfast every morning, and when we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed sitting on the front patio and watching the nearby cows and sheep grazing. And, given the size of the island (and the time of year we visited), we didn’t have any problem driving to Vila do Porto for more restaurant options (it was only 20 minutes away). However, we did enjoy our late morning coffee in one of the bars in the village of Santo Espirito.

This place was exactly what we were looking for and expected. We would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, nicely furnished, fully equipped traditional house located in the peaceful countryside just outside Santo Espirito. Everything for a comfortable visit is provided, including a good WiFi connection and a gift of local artisanal bread, jam, and cookies. The hosts, Catarina and Pedro, live close by and are friendly and accommodating. An early arrival was no problem, and when the weather forecast called for heavy rain the day of our departure, they offered to let us to stay later so we could relax in comfort before our flight. We highly recommend Casa dos Valentes!

Incredible place and outstanding hosts

There is everything you need in the house and if there is some problem the hosts are always ready to help. Amazing views around and close to all sides of the island.

Quiet and calm outside Santo Espírito

Located just outside Santo Espírito, in a very quiet and bucolic place. Spacious and with a nice outside space. The hosts were very nice and available. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

A bit cold, but other than that, all good.

A Real Gem

The location is superb with stunning countryside views from the front of the property which has an elevated position and faces south. The sun was out on our second day when we were able to sit outside and enjoy the heat. The house has been recently renovated and has a very warm and comfortable feel to it with a great central living area. Nicely furnished, very clean and well equipped in every way. Everything worked. Good WiFi and a heater was provided. We were warmly greeted on arrival, the owners live very close and are pleased to help if needed. They left a welcome bowl of local produce which we enjoyed. We are based on the island in the marina, so this was a mini break which we will definitely do again soon. A short walking distance from centre where there are two bars and a restaurant, a small but well equipped mini supermarket and the Cooperativa where you can buy bread and pastries. The property is also less than 5 minutes walk from a stop on the bus route between Vila do Porto and Malbusca. Thank you Catarina and Pedro. We will be back.

Very clean and well presented. Excellent value.

The property was very clean and tidy, and well presented with all basic amenities including kitchen and washing machine. It is excellent value. The hosts were very welcoming, and provided some basics as a welcoming gift including local bread and pineapple jam. The area is very pastoral and unspoiled. There is a village nearby with two bars that remind me of the old country pubs where the farmers used to come in for a drink. The bar staff and locals are friendly and if you want to meet some of the people that farm the fantastic cattle. you see in the fields - and being herded on the roads - calll in and say 'boa noite'.

Maybe a heater for the cold nights?
