Had a quick stay here whike in town for a volleyball tournament. House was nice sized and fully furnished. Definitively served its purpose.

The property was pleasant. The grass needed to be cut. Overall it was very nice. Check in sucked. Everybody is always changing things. Check in should have been at the latest 3 pm. Stop screwing the little guys.

We enjoyed our stay - however- the hot tub worked for day one only, we had to clean mud from the front porch, the tv is on the way out and the screened in porch was not clean. Somewhat over priced…

It was my 2nd granddaughter's 21st B-day & she wanted to go wine tasting. She will be a senior at Texas State next year & she loves meeting up with her Granny in Wimberley. So very close to her apartment. We enjoyed shopping on the square, eating out & going to nearby wineries. But most of all hanging out on the screen porch with a glass of wine & listening to music.
Chili Pepper Falls is a very relaxing & well laid out home & I will hope to rent it again in the future.

We loved this place. Great location and a beautiful property located on the Cypress Creek. We will be back!

Nice spacious house with nice bathrooms, nice patio, very private, very serene, lots of trees and wildlife, stunning.
Small details that would need improvement:
Only small teaspoons, no table spoons, only 1 extra toilet paper roll in each bathroom when we're staying a week, only 1 paper towel roll, no kitchen towels and the trash can was placed at the street which is quite a walk with your trash in your bag.
Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back.

Property around the house is beautiful. We sat by the creek and saw deer and red birds. House layout is perfect for two couples on a weekend trip to Wimberly and the surrounding wineries. We had an initial issue of no water. Our text was answered in a couple of minutes and they told us where to check for closed valves. Filter valves were accidentally left closed. Easy fix. Plan to return next time in Wimberly.

Perfect time of year to enjoy this property. Close to town, clean house, hot tub was perfect. Enjoyed seeing the deer and red foxes throughout the day! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The house was very clean, the views were amazing and we had friendly visitors (deer) every morning. The location is ideally close to town, but also very quiet and peaceful. We left refreshed and renewed. Our only disappointment is that we didn’t book a few more nights, because we didn’t want to leave!

We love the house, was actually our second time to stay here, we like it due to the bedrooms are pretty much exactly the same with king comfortable beds. The hot tub and fire place indoor and out and so close to town are a pleasure.

The place is nice, clean has a relaxing feeling to it. It could use more kitchen items like a cookie sheet, the screen around the porch needs to be fixed. One of the fan fixures in the living room was coming apart. In the bathroom shower the paint on the ceiling is peeling off so it falls on you when you shower. The outside area down by the creek needs to be cleaned up. Lots of trees down on property.

The house and property were great. Clean, spacious and convenient to town yet still in the quiet country. We will definitely go back

The four of us had a great stay, we visited to attend a friend's wedding nearby and had an overall good experience with this location. Here are some things of note:
Pros- The space for two couples was perfect, king beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and necessities. Basic needs are provided (shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, plenty of towels, coat hangers, etc.) and the bathrooms are spacious. Water filter next to the sink provides drinkable water. In the morning, the wildlife is beautiful to watch on the front porch (birds, doe, and we saw 4 large bucks up close). We unfortunately didn't use the hot tub (visited during a hot season), but checked it out and it looked clean and worked. They had many board games/cards. The house is on its own gated lot with a short, gravel drive to the front.
Cons/improvements- The area runs on septic water (I think?) so showers/sinks smell like sulfur, but this isn't their fault, just a warning. Only instant coffee is provided, but they do have a coffee maker if you bring your own.

Overall we had a nice time and enjoyed nature and the quietness of the property and we expected it to be dated but some things should be addressed
Pros:
Quiet area
Wildlife interactions
Firepit was nice and located well
Cons:
Close to neighbors on both sides of this house
Hot Tub smelt strange and had some yellow gunk going on around the filter (did call property management company and was assured it had been serviced)
Water has a strong sulfur smell every time you shower (doesn’t matter how long you let the water run)
Home/property could use some TLC with broken screens on the porches, certain doors not shutting properly, fireplace didn’t seem to work (instructions would’ve been nice), Toilet seats are scratched up and no blind rods to shut the blinds
*Not enough towels provided for 3 people

Everything was great for our girls get away. The town and shops are extremely close but the property itself was very peaceful, clean and it felt like we were miles away from everything. We enjoyed the hot tub and just hanging out. Only recommendation would be to upgrade the TV's and possibly provide firewood or suggest to bring some as there was none available when we arrived, luckily we planned on sitting outside most of the time so we brought quite a bit. We will be back hopefully when warmer weather is around so we can enjoy the water . Also, having corn to feed the deer would have been a nice added touch ;) Thanks for the hospitality.

Beautiful view, magnificent home with every amenity you will need. Loved the hot tub, back deck and all the wildlife morning and evening time. Loved how clean the towels and bedding were and the entire house. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. Very nice hot tub and the amenities, while somewhat dated, were nice enough for what we needed. It would have been great if they left us with a little more wood for the fire (only one log inside and 2-3 outside by the pit) and maybe some newspaper or other burning materials, but the town is very close by so it was no big issue. I’d say this is a better place for families than it is for a romantic getaway with your significant other (they have well water and oh my do the shower and sinks reak of stinky water). All in all, very nice stay.

We had the best time to getaway before my oldest daughter gets married. It was a perfect 2 night stay. We literally stayed at the house one whole day wedding plan and exploring the creek ! We shopped and ate and had the best time. The house was perfect for us. Beds were cozy and the hot tub was a perfect touch for the cool nights. Thanks for making it so homey💛

Relaxing Stay in Hill Country
This property met our expectations for our time in Hill Country. Excellent views off the porch. It had all the amenities we needed and everything was in working order. There were a couple of cosmetic issues, mainly outside, but didn't detract from our stay.

Nice place
Overall the place was nice. As soon as we walked in to the house, there was a musty odor, like no one had been there in a while. The place was clean and the area was peaceful/beautiful. The water smelled really bad. We had to buy water bottles so we could brush out teeth and have some to drink. After taking a shower, we could smell the water on our bodies (didn’t smell good). Driving into the property was a small shed, I guess that’s where the water comes from. There was a large pool of smelly water. Yes, I understand that it is in the middle of nowhere and probably well water, but I’ve stayed in different places similar to this one and the water did not smell. The steps leading to the house are steep. I don’t think my mother would have survived trying to walk up or down them. The steps in the back of the property are basically the same. There was only one roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom. We had to go buy some at the local store. The house is basic; only a place to stay. It was not very welcoming.
8.0 / 10.0
Liked wifi, updated inside, excellent refrigerated air, comfortable bedding/linens, & hot tub. Disliked the exterior it needed updates. Front steps have jagged broken down edges, back prch screen was ripped/torn, had ants around outside sink. Back walkway was steep, uneven. Inside a few minor details overlooked lightbulb out in living rm, older smelly pipes when using shower or sinks, guest bathroom showerhead clogged, main bathroom shower ceiling peeling/danaged, a loose tile on floor, and a few missing knobs. Inside clean and updated but outside very wirn down.

Chili Pepper Falls
First time VRBO user and our experience was descent. The place we stayed in was really beautiful and the scenery was amazing. We asked for a secluded place to spend our honey moon. The neighbors were a bit to close for our preference and had to spend several nights listening to their loud music playing late into the night from the back patio as we were trying to enjoy the porch swing and star gazing. Since there aren’t any fences separating the properties, the neighbors dog kept coming over and doing it’s business in the yard. Some of the appliances are a bit outdated but work nonetheless. The keyless entry was very difficult to use at times due to swelling of the door jam. Other than those few issues the place was a joy to stay in.

Loved this place
Deer greeted us when we got to the house. I loved the layout and the back porch and backyard. Saw 3 bucks one day and a little fox was hanging out as well.
Very quiet and relaxing. Felt very private. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind when I visit Wimberley again. Thank you!!

Beautiful and Peaceful
My wife and I stayed the weekend for our 22nd wedding anniversary. The cabin is remote but not too far from town. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the home itself is beautiful. It was nice to sit in the morning on the swing by the creek and have coffee and talk, while watching the deer, explore the local sites like Jacob’s Well and Old Baldy, and cap off the evening with a tasty adult beverage and a two hour soak in the hot tub. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

Excellent property
The wife and I had a kid-free weekend away in Wimberley and had a great time. The location of the VRBO was perfect for our plans of shopping and winery/brewery touring. The property has a nice fire pit and hot-tub (we did not get a chance to use them though). The creek that borders the property was a nice place to stroll and see abundant whitetail deer on their quest for breakfast each day. Overall a great stay and a great location

They really need to replace the front lock system. It is scary when you can't open the door!
One of the bedside lamps in a master's bedroom is dangerous ...need a new one. The electrical stem wobbles letting the light hit the lamp shade.

The pictures don’t do it justice!
My husband and I came for our anniversary and it’s absolutely the most beautiful property! We enjoyed sitting in the creek during the day and the hot tub at night, and only a 15 min ride to San Marcos and less than 5 minutes to wimberley square there’s no shortage of things to do! We will definitely be returning!

Nice large place for two couples.
This beautiful house has two roomy master bedrooms, perfect for accommodating two couples without one feeling like they drew the short straw.
Beautiful new fire pit and hot tub above the small, but vigorously-flowing creek, which can easily be heard from the house’s large porches.

A little upsetting
It was a nice place however the dishwasher did not work. We were not even able to use the hot tub or the firepit. This place was over priced considering these features were not available.

Escape from city
Very well organized house, nice terrain, house works great for the feeling being out of the city with almost all the comfort, only there was no working dishwasher, some lights will not work, the spa was apparently without a heat controller because they told us got damage from previous occupiers, we had a great weekend

Secluded and Peaceful
This property reminds me of stays in the Hunt area. The house, the property, and the amenities were great for what I needed. Both showers need new shower heads—full stop. I would stay here again just for the access to the property, the little bit of creek, and views.

We had a wonderful stay at Chili Pepper Falls. The home and hot tub, are wonderful. However, this property does not have much access to the stream /creek. Swimming was not possible and fishing was very limited. We were able to fish at 50 Marine circle (5 min drive away). All in all, we had a great time.

Great spot
The cabin was as-advertised and my young kids loved the river!
