About this house rental
Located on a peninsula of a private, tree-lined street this waterfront home will be the quiet retreat you've been looking for this season. Meticulously crafted by a renowned, post and beam builder, this home has the warmth and charm of a Swiss chalet without sacrificing any modern conveniences/amenities. Take in the expansive water views from the living room/kitchen on the first floor or for a bird's eye view, travel upstairs to the cozy, sitting room complete with Malm fireplace to keep you warm on those cold wintery nights.
The colorful IKEA designed kitchen will have everything a chef needs to prepare the perfect meal. The open air feel of the kitchen coupled with the bay of sliding glass doors facing the water, adds to the indoor/outdoor feel of the home.
Enter the living and dining room area framed by high vaulted, wood ceilings complete with a wood burning fireplace and a gas powered, Vermont casting stove for extra ambiance and warmth. There are two guest bedrooms on the main floor with a full bathroom while the third guest bedroom is located in the large lofted space and includes a half bath and office nook.
Travel upstairs to the private, primary bedroom with its walk-in cedar closet and large ensuite bathroom equipped with soaking tub and spacious shower. A private sitting area complete with water view and private balcony is the perfect place to start your day with a hot cup of coffee. Two wood burning Malm fireplaces flank either end of the space to add to the chalet feel of the home.
Laundry room complete with utility sink and Bosch washer/dryer. Plenty of parking in the large circular driveway out front. Charcoal and gas grill, outdoor dining table and chairs for seasonal use
Launch your boat, kayak or stand-up paddle board from the deep water dock and explore Clam Island. Go swimming, clamming, bird watching on this quiet beach and take in the amazing views and sunrises/sunsets. You can also access this beach by a private community right-of-way located on the end of the street.
Although the home is tucked away in nature, you are just minutes from the village of Sag Harbor and its great restaurants, coffee shops, markets and stores. Too good to be true!
