Good location in town
It had mould in the bathroom shower. Sheets also had stains, you don’t expect to have to chase up to get it cleaned on our short stay

It suited our purpose
They should have been 5 adults but 1 cancelled but they was only 4 cups and the seating wasn’t the best but still was good

The little house has modern furnishings, 4 bedrooms that easily fit 6 adults and 2 bathrooms. The beds, while quite small and very soft, were actually comfortable. The location is on a quiet residential street, right next to a grocery store, a few minutes walk to the centre of Ashford and 15 minutes walk to the train station. We encountered issues during our stay and had to contact the property management who were responding very fast and sent a maintenance guy who was also very polite.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house was very bad. The beds had lots of hair in them and bedsheets had bad stains (some yellow) on them. When we arrived, there was hair in both showers which also had quite a lot of mold. The bathroom sink wasn't clean and neither were any surfaces which are not immediately visible or any place that required a little more effort to reach. The sofa, carpet and decorative cushions had stains on them. We also didn't have hot water the first day. When we realized this, we contacted the property manager who sent staff to look into it. While they quickly fixed the hot water issue and did some further cleaning, the cleanliness only marginally improved (e.g. there was still hair in the beds despite the supposedly changed sheets). Because of this, we were very disappointed and felt uncomfortable in the property which, if properly maintained, could be a lovely house. We felt the value for money was not met and asked for a discount but this was not accommodated.
As for the location, while this is obviously not the property's fault, Ashford is a very boring and underwhelming location. Unless you absolutely have to stay there, I'd recommend another town in Kent.

The propert was well maintained, clean and very close to the High Street and train station.
No complaints.

Central location but quiet, with good parking and clean kitchen
Some areas not so well looked after

Central property. Two bathrooms. Quiet.
The house really does need to be cleaner. Stains on the living room rug and downstairs bedroom floor. Only one towel per bed (bath towel) so no other hand towels in the bathroom and just one t-towel for throughout our stay (3 nights). One bath towel had holes in. Stains on two of the sheets and the duvet on the downstairs bed was old and had damp stains. There was a mis-match table and chairs in the garden, although we would have had to clean it first. A barbecue still had not been emptied from previous guests so we didn't use the outside at all. Two bathrooms were a bonus as we were travelling with our adult children for a funeral. But the sink in the downstairs bathroom was barely bigger than a bowl. It was also not possible to lean over it, to clean teeth, due to the wall mirror above.
The living area is very compact. kitchen/living/dining table is in one room only and with 6 adults there is little space. The dining table seats 4 and the couch seats 3.
On the last day, check out was 9-10am. We were aiming for 9/9.30am. At 6.45am, a car pulled up onto the drive of the property and kept looking at the house. It was un-nerving. On going outside at 7.20am to ask, we were told he was the decorator and waiting for us to leave so he could gain access. A courtesy message previously from the host would have been nice so we would have been aware.

The owner contacted us by text on the day of the funeral which they knew we were attending and prior to that text I was very busy organizing the funeral itself. The pictures show above how we found the property, so I will leave it to prospective guests themselves to draw their own conclusion!

Location
Dirty windows kitchen windows, mould in the shower rail, mould spots on the duvet, could be cleaner

Quiet and good location near the town centre. The plug in the sink was broken and also the kitchen bin but the owner rectified those issues straight away.
Not as clean as last time we stayed- needs a freshen up generally including the paintwork.

The host was very friendly and helpful, always responding promptly to any questions.
The comfortable apartment with great location - very close to Lidl and Waitrose which was very helpful for grocery shopping. The weather was quite cold, but the house was very cosy and warm - good heating and insulation. The hot water always came out very quickly, without having to wait long for the water to heat up.
Overall, great value for money and would recommend!
The kitchen stove is an electric hob (not an induction or gas hob) and took very long to heat up food. This meant that cooking often took much longer than necessary. The oven/grill works great though!

Both houses were very central, were clean and had nice decor and comfortable beds.
We were moved from our original booked house to a different one on the first night of our stay due to maintenance works - possibly couldn't be helped and we had some discount given for this but was frustrating as we didn't really want to move in the middle of our stay. One of the bedrooms didn't have any beds made up in the first house and there were no hand towels in the bathrooms or handwash in the en-suites. Also no tea towels at the second location which was apparently an oversight so would normally be there.

It was very clean, and a perfect location for all the places we wanted to visit around Kent. The host was very efficient at responding.
