Bar and pool table
I wasn’t meant to stay here and they moved me hotel last minute. The smell of strong cleaning products made me sick. There was people fighting, screaming, swearing and running around with sex toy all night till 9am. I didn’t get ANY sleep at all. The card machine didn’t work so I had to walk in the rain for 20mins to a cash point. There is no kettles in room so had to go downstairs and the coffee is shocking with bits in the cups. The place is the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

The staff was very friendly. It was a good value for the money.
Facilities can be improved.

Left after about 2 hours to different hotel

Only liked that it had its own pool table and bar
As a disabled woman who has trouble walking I had to climb for flights of stairs and down. The bed was supposed to be for two people so a double but it was a 3/4 bed so we didn’t sleep and was squashed together. The TV didn’t work either, and we had to share the toilet and bathroom facilities.

Room was nice enough for the price
The owner was not approachable at all was on the verge of psychotic how many times asking people where they was going especially my partner who felt intimidated when he was following her around. Did not feel comfortable to even ask a question about the room due to his domineer.

Basic, but clean. Met expectations
Reception didn't appear to be expecting me, but a room was provided after a phone call.

We got there and it was stinking of drugs when we opened the door we asked to check in between 10 and 11 the man was very rude he said no it has to be 2pm he didn't offer for us to leave our cases he was absolutely disgusting attitude very nasty I think we had just woke him up the place is miles away from city centre we didn't like nothing

Nothing
We were run around for an hour with misleading directions to a hotel that had no relation to that on the website. Staff were curt and inhospitable

Was moved to parent hotel due to renovations but hotel was just as good.

The staff here are great, very friendly and informative.
Our room was clean and had an ensuite which was also clean.
Location is fine and allows for street parking which is handy.
It's only a 20 minute walk from town which is also very handy.
The walls are quite thin so you can hear people coming and going. Wasn't an issue for us but if you wanted a good night sleep you might not like this. Also have to say this isn't the hotels fault but the behaviour of other guests, so I guess it depends who is staying there.

Staff
It's good for staying 1 night just to sleep. We stayed in our room as little as possible. But the man who served us was nice

John was lovely
damp toilet roll. cold corridors. damp walls. no hot water.

Friendly receptionist, reasonable distance from the city centre, relatively quiet indoors, cosy bar area with tea and coffee making facilities, though because we only stayed one night, we did not take advantage of these.
Room overheated and no way to regulate the temperature of the room as the radiator taps were removed, similar to what other guests reported. We ended up sleeping with the window opened, which is a shame, not just energy efficiency wise, but also meant one of us (the one without earplugs) did not get as good sleep as we could have got, because of early morning street noise.

John at the reception was very helpful and accommodating the minute I arrived…I came up a day early due to the train strikes and I got a brilliant deal on a room with a shower and bathroom to myself for my 2 nights stay 😊😊clean and tidy good bar area for my visit 😊👍👏👏👍
To be honest I couldn’t fault it for the price I paid I even recommended the place to a local taxi driver…cheap and cheerful 😊👍
