Close to city and the N10,
The property was through a garden, quite a mess outside and was behind a business, took around 15 minutes for the owner to acknowledge we was there, the property windows was all open and a large pond outside which brought the obviously mosquitoes inside, no netting on the windows, no air conditioning which wouldn’t of been to bad if the property had some fans to cool the place down, we also got told we couldn’t lock the door incase another client books on, none of the room doors locked so thought this was unsafe for myself and others, also lots of damage and light wires sticking out of places, best room was the bathroom all brand new,

Breakfast almost non existant - the remains of previous days baguette which had been left on the kitchen table (along with loads of other stuff (including a full jar of dead batteries !) : no knowing if the cat had helped itself to anything during the night.
Nice to know his name as he did not introduce himself even in the morning when he arrived late to serve breakfast in his
pyjamas ! If there was a lady of the house, she was conspicuous by her absence !
Bed sheets needed a really good wash as they were (unintentionally) grey.Chair with broken seat under the desk,Notice implied no drinking or eating in the room although there were a few teabags and 2 saucers provided but no kettle or cups.
Holes in bedroom curtains.
Kitchen sink full & worktop covered with dirty dishes/pots with the remains of an evening meal - veryunhygenic.
Cat food available all night/day in the kitchen. Mrs Scott received lots of bites (cat fleas/mosquitoes ?) in the kitchen - not from the bedroom !
Entrance yard covered in building debris - tiles, sand.cement etc
Bathroom obviously recently refurbished so OK?
HOW ON EARTH DID THEY GET A "Gites de France" nomination/sign ?
More or less everything !
We had a very successful B&B on the Camino St.Jacques/Santiago in France for 12 years so we know how to run one unlike the owners of "Les Terraces".
We think a full refund would be in order and we could NOT recommend anyone to stay there in it's current condition. This is the first time we have had cause to complain and be so critical of any B&B whether booked throgh Booking.com or other providers.

nothing to like
toilet not working and we were not offered the use of the owners.
No towels available we then had to ask for them
I sat on a plastic chair which broke into pieces. Hurt my arm and my head. the chair was sun bleached and should not have been there
when the owner came out she was rude and aggressive and gave no apology or concern for my injuries
We had paid for breakfast but were not given one.
The place is very run down and should not be on booking.com who should go and inspect it

very spacious, warm, good shower.
lack of plates and cutlery. not a knife to make sandwiches with. breakfast not sufficient. A croissant each, nothing else,no drink of any kind. property was not particularly clean.

A very original French House.

Very nice house, very kind staff that receive us. Very good place to stay in Angouleme.

I will never recommend it. Dirt, stench and poverty, the owners are terrible rude and very rude. The photos on booking com are completely different than the photos I will see on the spot. Dirty and cold to cover only the blanket. Pokój jak w piwnicy nie polecam coś okropnego
room in the building of a private person. Ugly, dingy, Dirty and poor. No Bathroom also has no bedding or duvet is just Dirty Ugly Blanket. Owners unpleasant rude in no way helpful. The owner misleads customers by displaying photos that are not like the actual room. This is one big scam. I never recommend sleeping and spending time in something like this. I did not decide to sleep there, I left and lost it. The owners are scammers and they don't even want to issue an invoice.

Free coffee and tea, the owner showed me how to use the coffee machine. The bed was good. OK continental breakfast was delivered with fresch bread while I still was asleep. Free parking inside a gated community.
It was a little chilly in the room and kitchen, a little heating would have been fine.

nothing, cannot really rate as we didn’t stay.
Terrible smell of damp. Not able to lock room. Further rooms upstairs, for other guests??
No key given.
Not very welcoming and difficult to find.

Very welcoming and helpful owner. Nice bread and Croissants. Toaster would be good. Tea and coffee facilities good and a good fridge. The bathroom was very nice but a long way from my bedroom.
Lack of cutlery. My 'suite' was on first floor so to use toilet in the night meant descending steep stairs to the shared bathroom. Only one chair and no mirror in the 2 adjoining bedrooms It also got cold ( end of september).

excellent friendly super helpful host, the apartment was great so much room and with a terrace fantastic value for the price and a good location with free parking and just a few minutes motorbike ride into town
no problems all good

Untidy appartment. No internet. No TV. No air condition. Extremely poor breakfast - diluted coffee and tiny croissant. Unfriendly owner.

We liked the idea of an apartment rather than hotel rooms but…
NO WIFI!!! NO TV. It was very insecure (building front door broken and was open all the time, balcony window would not lock). It was not clean (entrance hall dirty, balcony a building site). No toilet roll, no proper towels, several things missing in the kitchen

Wonderful host and his son. Really nice people. Follow your blizz!

Spacious. Low cost. Dark rooms (for sleeping). Plenty of blankets. Friendly host. Great croissants.
Little bit difficult to find.

Middle of a suburban neighbourhood. Nothing of interest around, apart from a very helpful pharmacy that provides covid tests, and free parking nearby.
The room is a good size and pleasant decor.
The host allowed me to make tea in their kitchen. It was very much needed due to the cold.
The host made me a plain omelette for breakfast - slightly burned around the edges; chocolate croissants which I gave to the host’s son who was also incidentally having breakfast at the same table. This is of course not an issue for many, but perhaps some guests may need to want some privacy.
Road works nearby resulted in the satnav taking a wrong turn. Eventual location was found due to plain common sense.
Room keys were not given at the start of my stay so after an excursion to the shops for the purpose of buying food I was left outside the property for 20 mins in the cold waiting for someone to let me in.
Heating in the room was not sufficient to keep warm. The bed only had a sheet. In the wardrobe of the room there was a duvet which had no cover, so I spread that on top of the sheet. The host’s kind wife asked me if I was warm enough. I said it was very cold in the room and the host gave me a blanket which unfortunately was not fit for a paying guest. There was human hair intertwined within the weave.
The TV was not operational.
The property and the gardens appeared to be undergoing refurbishment or renovation.
Nearby, the town centre was almost unnavigable due to the traffic congestion. I will advise anyone not to venture into the main town centre in your own car. It is too far to walk so best to take a taxi if you want to sightsee or eat out.

very nice modern bathroom , though no toiletries
2 flights of steps up to apartment, difficult for anyone with disabilities. window taped up with danger tape. furniture in apartment very old. no evening meal offered. breakfast not enough choice in a very messy kitchen. owner’s pleasant, but not much idea of catering for guests.

I liked the location in a residential neighborhood, not in the narrow city streets. Parking off street for free was great. Wonderful host, very charismatic, enthusiastic and upbeat. Freshly baked croissants, juice, bread, jam and butter, with coffee or tea for breakfast was nice. We really appreciated the refrigerator in our room for cheeses or other things we might buy on our trips for snacking or picnics. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the separate top sheet and blanket instead of the usual duvet covered comforter that can be too hot for sleeping.
Surprised that access to our private room and bath was through the home's kitchen, although it was not a problem, we were not going in and out multiple times during our stay

Karl was a very welcoming and attentive host. He shared helpful information about the locality. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Host was friendly and helpful. It was easy to park very nearby. Good breakfast. Large room. Comfortable.
Long uphill walk to old town. Room was hot and on a busy road. Rest of house cluttered and shabby.
