Trying to think of something.
Upon arriving we had to check in at a gas station. The owner said there were only 3 things she didn't allow. One of them was Pole Dancing! We were a late check in and it wasn't easy to find. The room had a back door (sliding) that was open when we got in. The screen was open too. We found a dog bone on the bed! We attempted to kill all the mosquitoes but couldn't. Bed's were hard.Dog's next door were loud and growled at us. Eventually we gave up and left. We looked for a place to return the key but found nothing so left the key inside.

The two staff members I dealt with, were both very nice and helpful. Oddly though, I had to go to the gas station next-door to find them. The shower looked like it had been recently tiled with ceramic tile, and looked quite nice. That upgrade was not uniform throughout the room, however. The location of the hotel was convenient for my visit to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic national Park.
The furniture, rug, bathroom, bed, were old and unreconstructed. But the biggest problem was the flimsy lock on the door. It was just a button lock, the kind of credit card could easily be used to break in. There was no deadbolt and no chain on the door either. I did not feel secure there as a woman traveling alone. The parking system is also weird. Yes, it was nice to be able to park right in front of my room, but then I had to back out the way I came in. There was no way to turn around or no alternative exit. Luckily, my room was near the start of the row of cars, the rooms at the end would’ve had to back all the way out along the row of rooms. The motel had obviously seen better days.

Carol, the woman who worked there was very helpful.
This motel needs to be modernized.

These people also operate the service station. There is no reception despite appearances given. We were unfortunately given a room by a staff member who stayed next-door with her dogs. Despite assurances this was the worst night ever from noise from dogs barking.

had to check in at the Shell gas station. Rooms smelled bad, the bed was broken, the shower curtain broke, TVs didn’t work, and I could hear everything in the other rooms at night.

The ONLY good thing about this motel is the location.
pretty much everything. here is list:
1. Complete confusion at check in
2. very unhelpful workers at Shell Station. pretty clueless.
3. no working tv
4. Air conditioner not working
5. No hot water
6. An employee tried to get into room without knocking. we had chain across door
7. Had to back out all the way back to main road to get out of motel parking lot

People nice at shell station and let me use their microwave to heat up my kids food.
No microwave no fridge
Bathroom door wouldn't close. Bath dirty. Only one room had tv. One room had ac unit not 2nd. Neighbor had dogs on hotel that barked all night. Beds were so uncomfortable I thought I was sleeping on a box spring covered in cardboard. Way overpriced for this place.

Nothing. Nobody was working the front desk. Had to check in at the gas station next door. The clerk had no idea how to process the transaction. I had to wait for another lady to show up. 20 min later, I was told the room still needed to be cleaned. I waited....I checked in at 6:30 p.m. and was exhausted.
The room smelled AWFUL, like something was burned in there. The chair was so dirty I was uncomfortable putting my suitcase on it. The room was hot so I went to open a window and it was covered in flies. The AC unit didn't work. The lights in the bathroom didn't work. I went to complain, and there was a creepy guy hanging around the parking lot, so I waited for him to leave. I finally packed my stuff back in my car and went back to request a full refund.
The place was awful 😖 It was unsanitary, there was used dirty used soap in the sink. They only gave me 50% refund and Booking.com took no responsibility in this.
I just thank God I was able to find another room at the last minute. I would of rather slept in my car than stayed at that motel.

very friendly staff, initial hickup with booking but they gave us a gift basket as compensation
very old and run-down, in serious need of renovation, no safety lock on door (but who needs a safety lock in Port Angeles?), sheets weren’t pressed and looked used

The location.
Everything else. You had to go to the gas station next door to check in. The WiFi Didn't work. The television didn't work. The mattress Had some sort of a plastic covering around it So you just sweat Against the all night Against the all night long. For $168I would have rather slept on the ground!

I liked that this motel was close to my destination.
The room was not clean. The one upholstered chair had multiple stains on the seat. The door of the room had only one lock, the kind suitable for a bathroom, not an exterior door. The molding around the door was broken, with only half of a chain lock still attached to the door. The office to the motel appears to be permanently closed, with a sign directing guests to check in at the gas station next door. The walls are thin. The room next door had their TV blaring until 4 a.m., which was the time we decided to just get up and leave, since sleep was not possible. There was no one to complain to, as the motel office is closed and so was the gas station office next door.

The location was good for my needs, but never again.
The hotel is hugely overpriced. Similar places of similar quality would have a fair value of $45 to $65 per night.
2.2
The bed was comfortable.
Lack of cleaning, no full size towels in room, air conditioner kept turning off because breaker tripped due to room next store using excessive amounts of electricity. Walls very thin- neighbor played loud music and had child listening to shows loudly as well.
2.2
the person that check us in was a nice lady.
everything! sleep in your car! the sink was exploded and they did not take care of it! the bathroom was not cleaned! the pillows had lots of hair on it. the room next door partied until midnight and started music at 3AM!!! and there was no reception or lobby to bring my complaint as I had to check in from a gas station near by!!!
2.2
We were upgaded to a nice multiple room 2 bath suite with a kitchen fit the same price. Nice.
I liked everything.
2.2
No office on site (across the street). No hot water. Overpriced for a very, very old facility.
2.2
The water pressure was phenomenal, and all the hot water you could ask for after a day of hiking. Location was right on the highway, so easily accessible. The staff was great, gave us extra pillows, all the linens we asked for! The room served is purpose; a place to shower and sleep.
Beds were okay, all the linens had some kind of stain on them. Being so close to the hwy the traffic noise is a bit much, till late at night. Faucet leaked continuously. Very outdated. No A/C.
