Tucked away in the woods with a lake as your backyard need I say more. Lots of peace and quiet as well as wildlife. Would definitely stay here again. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable.

My kids and I arrived at Innisfree and were immediately smitten. It is a quintessential Maine camp that exudes coziness and peacefulness...the type of place I dream of owning myself one day! We are so grateful to have spent time here and hope to return someday.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful, well-stocked home. We've been up to Maine several times and this was our favorite time yet, mostly because we so enjoyed our time here. Ted was a fantastic host, very communicative and kind. We will always remember our time here and would love to stay again one day!

Very comfortable log home with all the amenities. Excellent location on a quiet pond, but reasonably close to restaurants and local attractions. Everything is provided for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Ted Gup for allowing us to rent his beautiful home. Peaceful serene setting with everything we needed for a wonderful week. Ted was the most personable host I’ve ever come across. Gave us great information about the area, history and must do ‘s. After speaking with him, reading one of his books, and staying in his home I feel like he is a family friend. Thank you Ted:)

This attractive log home was well-stocked and comfortably furnished, with sun-dappled views of the peaceful, small lake from the huge windows and an adjacent deck visited by hummingbirds. We loved the easy access from the dock for great swimming in the spring-fed lake and use of the resident kayaks. Eagles...loons...a fresh seafood market five minutes away...maps & guidance for sightseeing excursions. What's not to love?!!! Ted was a generous host, helpful and a good communicator.

Late Fall Vacation
Really nice log cabin, well-stocked, furnished nicely, great fireplace and just steps from the lake. Felt very private. Surrounded by beautiful trees. Convenient to towns, Bangor International Airport, parks, the coast and as far north or south as you want to drive. Ted is wonderful, a very gracious & helpful host.

The cabin was lovely and well equipped. A great location for exploring a variety of day trip sites. Not the best locally for shopping or restaurants. Road into cabin would be tough if the weather was rainy - fortunately we didn’t have rain at all during our two weeks there. Very comfortable furnishings. Would suggest leaving instructions for working the tv remotes for those of us who are technically challenged. Other than those slight negatives, we loved our stay.

Paradise Found
Staying here was like staying at a private family get-away far from the crowds--because that is exactly what the Gup family cabin is. Relaxation and tranquility awaited us, and we nested comfortabiliy there, enjoying daily kayaking, loon watching and nearby hikes. We needed to escape and recharge, and this is Maine at it's natural finest. Ted is a gracious host, with an impressive literary pedigree. We couldn't have been happier and will be back!

Peaceful waterfront log home.
Ted has a wonderful spot on Jacob Buck Pond and we were very thankful to find it. Ted went out of his way to make our stay most enjoyable. Supplies were bountiful and it was everything one could expect for a stay in the Maine woods, including a fireplace, fire pit and water craft. Would love to make this a yearly event.

Restful and beautiful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely cabin in a beautiful, very quiet and private location. We loved swimming, canoeing, and kayaking in the 100 acre pond. The water was so clean and clear. The owner was very helpful in letting us know what to do around town and in the surrounding areas. Would love to go back one day.

Great property
We had a good time in Bucksport. I gave this property 5 stars. In any property there is room for improvement. Outside grounds could be maintained better. Someone did show and cut the grass. With a few adjustments, this could really be exceptional. It did not take away from our stay and we would recommend.

Restful stay at a Lakeside Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay in this home! It's located in a quiet area right on a lake. The layout provides abundant views of the lake, a massive kitchen for cooking, and a cozy space by the fire place. It has everything you need so you don't have to leave, but there is a quite a bit to do if you venture out.
The host was extremely responsive and helpful, giving us tips on groceries/staples and recommending things to do around the area. It's an easy drive to Bangor and Acadia - both of which we visited during out stay.
You can tell many memories were made there, and we were glad to make our own.

Perfect City Escape
This cabin was in a beautiful, peaceful setting that made for the perfect escape from city life. It's well equipped with everything you'd need, and the wifi is great. If you're looking for a temporary work away from home space, this would be ideal. Its location is also great since it is close to a number of towns and a little over an hour's drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia, if you even want to leave once you arrive. The host is a wealth of knowledge about the area, recommended great things for us to do, and was very responsive. If you're looking for a place to disconnect from life and connect with nature (but still keep the creature comforts of home and modern life), then this is the place.

Serene, quiet home right on the water
Log home with a more refined feeling, touches of Mission style, copper panels, granite kitchen with large island/breakfast bar, stone fireplace, oriental rugs, ambient lighting. Pond is so clear, ringed by hills. We heard loons, owls, crows, jays, enjoyed the antics of red squirrels and chipmunks and just watching the changing surface and colors of the water and sky reflected on it. Oh, quite a few good-sized fish jumping and swimming past the dock at twilight. Lovely and tranquil!

Perfect Cabin on Beautiful Pond (with Loons)
We had the perfect family get together at this wonderfully comfortable cabin on a lovely pond. Everything you could want in a Maine vacation was right at hand - swimming, boating, reading by the fire, cooking and hanging out in the kitchen, hiking, exploring. Everthing about the cabin was beautiful and well provisioned. The owner was thoughtful, helpful, and generous. We will be back!
