About this house rental
Welcome to Making Memories by Kismet Properties of 30A!
Heated Pool October 31st-January 1st, March 15th-May 15th
***Primary renter must be 25 or older.
This beautiful colorfully decorated house is named 'Making Memories' because our wish is it will give everyone HAPPY memories! The interior is freshly painted and there are many original whimsical paintings throughout the home, including some by my daughter Tricia Robinson who is a popular full-time artist.
Making Memories is located off Highway 30A in Seagrove Beach, in the lovely community of Grove by the Sea. It is less than a mile from Seaside with all its shops and attractions (without the higher rental prices). Also, a large Publix grocery store is nearby about 1.5 miles. There are many great state parks nearby, like Eden State Park (3.5 mi).
Our house is painted in a light teal blue on the exterior and has an access ramp which makes easy access for wheelchairs (and wagons and strollers). Please contact owner for more details about handicapped accessibility.
All four bedrooms and the living area downstairs have new flat screen TVs and cable.
The main floor features a large wrap-around screened-in porch with plenty of rockers, a porch swing, and a bench sofa in a nice sitting area plus a table for outside dining. "Sparkle Lights" go around the porch to add an extra touch at night. The house has wireless Internet connection for all of us tablet and laptop lovers. The main floor is open with a spacious, fully furnished kitchen, dining area, and living room. The dining table seats 8-10 plus 3 more at the bar. There is a full bath and a laundry area with iron and ironing board and the large washer and dryer are off the kitchen. The cheery first floor bedroom has twin beds and French doors to the screened porch.
On the 2nd floor you'll find two roomy and colorful bedrooms with queen beds, private bathrooms, TV, DVD, and doors leading out to the porch. Enjoy the sitting in the trees with its bistro table and chairs, a comfy bench sofa, rocker, and porch swing for just relaxing or sipping coffee or your favorite beverages. You can also take a soothing bath in the jetted tub in the master bathroom.
Go up the stairs to the "tower room" and find a great area for the kids or a get-away for adults with a newly added air conditioner to make the room more comfortable. The new door in the stairway also adds to keeping the room cool. There is a TV and DVD player and a wet bar boasting a sink and fridge. Each end of that room has balconies overlooking the lovely homes and streets of the community. You can get a breath-taking view of the starry night-time skies. There is sleeping for 4 with two sets of bunk beds. There is also a table and 4 chairs for games, writing, and more.
Outside the house you'll find a secluded shady yard with the sweet scent of magnolia trees. The outside shower is a convenient way to wash away the sand. There are water toys for the pool or beach.
THERE IS PARKING FOR 3 VEHICLES. NO PARKING ON THE STREET. NO SMOKING AND PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Primary Renter must be 25 years old or older.

The house was fantastic… spacious and clean with lots of room on the porches for hanging out. The online pictures really don’t do it justice… it’s such a great house. We walked to the beach daily and it’s a short walk to restaurants. Highly recommend!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Making Memories. We loved the Florida cottage style and felt relaxed and comfortable in the home! We ate in most of the time and loved the big dining table. We spent lots of time on the extremely large wrap around porches. And of course riding our bikes to the beach daily was our favorite pastime. Nice quiet neighborhood! Pedestrian friendly streets kid friendly too!

Thank you for sharing this home with us!
Beautiful home, decorated with bright fun colors. 2 minute drive to seaside.
Plenty of room to sleep our 7 adults. 3rd floor bunk room was a great escape! Has its own air conditioning and sink.
House was super clean and up to date. Lots of games to play.
Kitchen well stocked with essentials, even muffin tins!
We spent evenings on the enclosed and screened wrap around first floor porch.
Second floor wrap Around as well, and both porches have couches, tables, rockers and swings!!
The 2 pools are beautiful and never crowded.
There is about a 10 minute walk to the beach, going up a hill. Beach access directly accords 30a.
Once at the beach side there are dozens of steep stairs to navigate. All of the access points in this area are like this. Just plan accordingly, as bringing wagons, small children or older adults up and down these stairs can be a challenge.
We would love to stay here again. This house is all about making memories!!

The house was beautiful and much nicer than the pictures made it look in the listing. We had 10 in our party and it was comfortable. The location was great and we simply walked or biked to the beach. The beach was clean and the water was blue. Great place to stay. I hope to come back one day.

We had the best experience. Loved the house. Any problems that we had were addressed immediately. Can’t say enough good things about the house and the management.

Relaxing!
We really enjoyed our stay! The neighborhood was great and quiet! Took us a couple days to get use to the walk to the beach as it was a bit longer than we were use to but was an easy walk and easy beach access, never crowded on the beach. Pools were great too! Would stay again! Loved that the family room accommodated our entire group so that we could enjoy a couple movie nights!

Making Memories
The house is cute, plenty of space, and great neighborhood. You can’t go wrong staying here. We’ve stayed in this neighborhood numerous times. What would make this house great is a better equipped kitchen, a couple of beach chairs and even a couple of bikes. It would make it perfect. Overall a great house!

Relocation
We were informed our original booking was not available. This happened one week before our vacation was to begin. We were told that new furniture was being delivered to our original reservation. The Kismet realtor told us we would be moved to an upgrade at no additional charge. Moving from a 4 bedroom 3 bath to a 3 bedroom 2 bath for 10 people was not an upgrade. We did have a good vacation despite the somewhat cramped accommodations. All in all, it was a good vacation.

We made memories!
Making Memories allowed us to do just that, we made memories. Beautiful home in a peaceful neighborhood located right across the street from a beach entrance. The decor is magical and welcoming. The house has a coffee maker, yay! But remember to pack your own filters or else it will be a late night run to Publix so you’re not without coffee in the morning. Also, remember to pack extra dishwasher pods or soap as well as laundry soap. There are plenty of towels and washcloths which was wonderful. Two beautiful and clean pools in the neighborhood. The walk to the beach is about 8-10 minutes. And I feel it’s important to note, there are a lot of stairs leading down to the beach. This was not a problem for our family but wanted to share. We also rented a golf cart for the week thinking that we would be able to park it at the beach access. That was not allowed. These are not negatives in regards to the house at all but feel that they are worth sharing.
30a was beautiful!

Spring Getaway
House was in a great location & short walk to the beach. House was spacious & beds comfortable. Kitchen lacked some necessities, a blender being one of them, which for a vacation house, thought they should have one. Biggest complaint was house wasn’t very clean & in need for some TLC. The seating in all the porch areas was weather beaten & dirty. Couldn’t sit down in any porch seating without getting clothes dirty. Cobwebs in corners & plenty of burned out lightbulbs in outdoor lighting. House could have used a good pressure washing & landscaping was overgrown. Overall, though house suited our needs, was in a very quiet cute subdivision & location was great.

We had a good week, the house is beautiful and private. close and nice Walk to the beach. The house is a little more shabby then chic. It could use some TLC. Broken stuff like table lamps and broken beach chairs, a big pile of old toys could need some looking over. I sat in a chair that almost fell apart. One of the master beds (in the blue room) was so noisy, so we didn’t get much sleep. Other than all this we had a nice week. The upstairs patio balcony is a great peaceful retreat. But I don’t think I would come back to this one again.

Summer Beach Trip
We enjoyed our stay at Making Memories very much! This is a comfortable home with lots of porch space. Our party had 6 people the youngest being 16. The beds were comfortable and the A/C works great for the Florida summer humidity. The house could use some TLC but over all for the price and location, we had no complaints. We have stayed in Grove by the Sea neighborhood several times before and we love the peaceful setting, uncrowded beach access and the short bike ride into Seaside. Nancy was very easy to communicate with also. I enjoyed morning coffee on the porch most about this house.

Great stay close to the beach
House is a great deal for the price. Very well stocked with everything you will need in the kitchen. There are plenty of spices and lots of other items for cooking. The laundry room had detergent in it. There were dishwasher pods under the kitchen sink as well.
We did have trouble getting in the house though. The owner is having issues with her remote entry lock. She is working to get them resolved. I did speak with the owner on the phone and she is very easy to work with.

We had a great stay and Betty is incredibly responsive and available to help with any anything.
We were a family of 8, including 4 teens who loved the XL-Twin bunk beds. A super comfortable house that accommodates is perfectly for family time and meals together.

Love it
Making Memories is an excellent place to stay. We love the house and the neighborhood. The homeowner is kind and excellent to deal with. I love the paintings, the colors, the decor. The room downstair is perfect for someone who does not want to use the staircase. The house is very comfortable and perfect for kids. The tower room has a new air condition unit and a door to keep it cooler. The temperature was perfect. The second floor porch was my favorite place to be. We recommend it.

A quiet vacation by the beach
The "Making Memories" house is just what my family needed for a getaway from the Midwest. The close proximity to the beach (10 min. walk) and the secluded, well shaded, and immaculately kept neighborhood was icing on the cake.
If you are looking for a quiet and low key vacation house, look no further!

Awesome decks!
We had a wonderful stay and the house is as cute as can be. The kitchen is stocked well as well as all the beach toys etc. I loved the big family table!
The jacuzzi tub was a disappointment. It spewed out black mold in the bath when you turned it on. I jumped out and let it run to clean it out. Tried again the next night and the same thing happened. So the tub just needs a regular cleaning and disinfecting schedule for sure with housekeeping. We couldn’t locate the cot that is listed on the rental either, but made due with a makeshift floor bed for my toddler. This may be inconsequential for others but the bed squeaked with every turn. If I moved at all it woke my toddler sleeping in the same room.
The tower room was great and fun for the kids! The furniture was very comfortable and I loved the artwork! Betty is a complete sweetheart too! She forgot to send our check-in information due to a recent injury and responded right away when we were waiting outside the house for entry. She apologized over and over and was just a precious person!
There is easy access to the beach with a nice little walk. The neighborhood playground was just an old playset so we didn’t utilize it.
Overall, we loved the house, the value was excellent for the time we booked!
