I took my son and his friends for a quick getaway. I will say that the cabin was immaculate. The boys loved the hot tub and the pool table.
I have rented many cabins and with Vacasa, and I have to say, there were no little “special touches and “that one usually sees when renting a cabin. Communication with the host was also difficult. The kitchen is “sort of” stocked – we wanted to make brownies, but there isn’t even a baking pan or measuring cups. The sheets felt like 50 count — no one is asking for Egyptian thread, but they were so scratchy. The pillows are so old that they have no form. There wasn’t even paper and a pen to write anything on, no throw blanket in the living room, etc. These are things you don’t expect in a hotel – but over the years, they have always been at cabins that we have rented and it always makes everything more special. (Even since Covid)…
To end on a good note, the beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was great. The grill was clean and we enjoyed using it. The boys went zip lining, which they loved and overall, it was a nice getaway – but a little TLC would probably go along way in this place.

This place is amazing! My family and I enjoyed every minute of it. From the scenery to the hot tub we felt so relaxed. Thank you so much for so many new memories we made together!

Nice location, close to town and many activities such as river tubing, kyaking and just swimming on the river. The cabin itself needs better TV cable as it was horrible and much bigger or 1 more trash can outside to hold the trash because with 4 adults and 2 children you make more trash than that 1 trash can will hold after staying for a full week.

We received information that our cabin rental had unforeseen issues, which caused us to relocate our stay. We chose Sugar Maple because of its remote location, and privacy. This trip was for my husbands birthday, and we got exactly what we were looking for out of it. Best of all, our dogs were able to be with us. Other than some leaves at the bottom of the hot tub, the cabin was clean, the internet just fast enough for my husband to play his Xbox, and roomy enough for our 2 medium sized dogs.

Nice quiet cabin and very cozy. The pool table and the hot tub were the highlight of our stay. Like that there was one bedroom on each floor. I definitely would visit this location again.

Our stay was very nice. Cabin was clean and tucked into the woods so very private. Our only negative was TV in downstairs bedroom (where kids stayed) wasn't working and we were promised a new one Friday evening and when we left on Tuesday morning we still hadn't got a new one. Kids had to use a laptop.

Super close to McCaysville, which is an undiscovered gem. Easy drive to Blue Ridge and the best Apple Farm anywhere.
House was clean and well furnished. Everything worked great. We enjoyed the hot tub alot. 3 full baths was so nice; one on every level. WIFI was amazing with boosters everywhere.

I would never rent here again scary experience they locked us in the cabin i had to drive my truck through the woods to get out i got home safely.

The porches were not clean with cobwebs and inches of dust all over them that clearly had not seen a broom in months the chairs were covered as well. Yes it is spring and all the bushs and trees are pollinating and it has been somewhat dry but it was obvious that no one had tried to clean at it just a little. The trash can outside was full of garbage that had not been carried off from what I'd guess was several renters. The floors and inside stairs had not been swept or mopped. The TV in the main living area was unhooked from the dish reciever and I spent about45 minutes trying to figure out what needed to be done to get that TV working in the living area so we could relax and unwind. The TV in the bed room on the main level has no remote so watching TV in bed was out. The cover over the hot tub was nasty. It has never in its life been washed off or brushed off it seemed. There were no chlorine tablets in the floater in the hot tub and we wouldnt even think about getting in it. Over all the maintenance and housekeeping is very disappointing. The comforters on the bed were nasty and we had concerns of the cleanliness of the sheets and towels. We were looking for 4 star accommodations and ended up with staying in no star accommodations with a 5 star price once you factor in the add on fees. I would highly recommend if you are considering VACASA you look at one of the other cabin rental agencies in the area. When calling to speak to someone about the issues we were having the young lady?? Who answered was clearly occupied by something else and acted as if she had other important things to do than deal with the issues we were having.

Cozy cabin that is just right for a small family. Kitchen is small, so don't plan on making huge/fancy meals. Most of our food was prepped ahead of our arrival, so all we had to do was heat everything up, so the kitchen was perfect for that. The pool table area is a bit tight, but still entertained a 10yo boy for hours and was lots of fun. The water in the shower was more than adequate and rather surprising how hot it got, kind of nice when it was so chilly outside. Three beds made night time very comfortable, and being able to sit and enjoy my coffee in the morning out on the deck was great. I think we will try and stay here again in the future, but I do think a few small things should be addressed.
Driveway may need to be regraded or gravel added. Very slick after it rained.
The hot tub had way to many chemicals. Our eyes began burning within a minutes just from the steam, could only relax in the hot tub for a couple minutes before it was unbearable too stay.

Was very peaceful and quiet. Loved going out on the deck and hearing the water running from the near by creek. Bed was very comfortable! Lots of things to see not far from the cabin. We enjoyed our stay very much. Will definitely be back in the future.

Excellent
Very nice place. Everything you need is provided. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. Will definitely stay with Vacasa in the future. Jacuzzi tub worked as intended. Central place with everything you need near by. Cabin not difficult to locate. The only issue, no BBQ to be found

Relaxing and Rejuvenating
This property was sweet and simple. It was a breeze to get into once we got there. I will say the address we used was not accurate so I would go by the written instructions on how to get there that are provided in your email. The cabin was super comfortable and had a lot of nice touches like actually good TV service and internet. The hot tub was also very nice and not trashed. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return for another relaxing weekend or maybe even longer if we can get more time off! Thank you for such a great stay!

Cute cabin
This cabin was cute. It wasn’t our favorite that we’ve stayed in but still nice. It’s a little bit of a tight squeeze for more than 3 people.

Overall the cabin was great plenty of room and amenities. It was super close to downtown McCaysvilles. My only complaints where the upstairs shower fixtures need to be replaced because we couldn’t get it to work. However it wasn’t a big deal since we had two more bathrooms also a outside grill would be nice. With all that being said it’s still an awesome cabin for the price.

Beautiful Cabin. Charming interior. Perfect cabin getaway!
Overall this cabin was absolutely spectacular. It was so cute. The cabin was decorated perfectly. The whole property was clean. The whole cabin was spacious. It was exactly as described. 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms. One below off in the game room area. One by the kitchen and one upstairs loft area. Beds were comfy! Whole kitchen area was nice with everything that was needed. The loft area did get a bit hot but with fans it was perfectly fine and it is September in Georgia! The hot tub was absolutely awesome. We got in twice a day, and it made the trip even better. It was extremely clean with complimentary bathroom supplies. There were plenty of towels and washer and drier. They even left some washer pods! The cabin had beautiful Forrest views. This was our first cabin experience and it checked all the boxes. We would absolutely positively rent this cabin again. So worth it! I do think a lovely addition would be maybe a small table out on the porch so we could eat out there but we were so grateful for the rocking chairs! Lastly we did travel at night to the destination so it was very very dark. The directions were almost spot on with the exception of the final bit saying to “go past the private drive and take the road up hill” once you get past the private drive there is a fork they both look to go up hill (one on left and one on right) it was very hard to tell which way to go. We chose right first and that was wrong we made it all the way up only to realize that we went the wrong way and it could have been quite dangerous I do say maybe one additional sign letting everyone know to go left at the fork to get to the cabin. It might be so much easier to tell the roads in the light of day though. Once there it was amazing truly. A great birthday weekend for my mom!

Oven smoked out the house
Tried to use the oven but it made the fire alarm go off constantly. I really hope they fix this problem, being there isn’t a grill at this cabin. And multiple GPS couldn’t find the location on its map, had to call Vacasa to get assistance on how to get to the cabin. Other than that the stay at Sugar Maple was decent. May need some upgraded pots and pans, food kept sticking to it.

Cleanliness issue
My wife had to clean the kitchen upon arrival.

Quiet getaway
The drive up to the property was slippery. The road needs to be graded. The decks were wonderful to set on, but no view s to speak of. It was a quiet setting with a little train whistle thrown in. Very convenient to McCaysville. Unfortunately, sleeping was not easy. All of the beds were old or cheap. The main floor bedroom had a mattress made in 2001! Amd a super cheap Restonic brand that was not very good 20 years ago. A vacation house should at least attempt to offer a good night's sleep. A 20 year old mattress offers absolutely No One a sound night's sleep.

Relaxing
We really like the location of this house. The drive way was not a pain to get up either. A big bonus! We have stayed in Blue Ridge at some very high end houses..this house was plain and simple but clean and well taken care of. While there, we spotted turkeys that came through the property in the early mornings. This property does not have a mountain view but a wooded sloop. It was very peaceful to sit on the back porch and relax.. I will stay at this house again in the future. The Summerlin’s🇺🇸

Adorable cabin in a great location!
Loved the cabin, very convenient to town. We went rafting, hiking, and chased a few waterfalls. Overall a wonderful stay. The driveway up to the cabin is very rocky and not paved. I would not suggest driving a car up the road. *Bring a hairdryer and laundry detergent as those are two important items missing.

Prívate, secluded, near the river
Great place to stay with tubing locations 5-10 min away. Nice private and secluded location with a hot tub. Everything was clean and in working order.

Amazingly Secluded
Me & husband loved staying at Sugar Maple Cabin. It is extremely secluded & so quiet. Even during these near summer days - the nights we’re cool enough for the hot tub (IN JUNE😱). I would definitely suggest having everything before going up the long driveway - there aren’t many store options (like Walmart) nearby so we drove the 15-20 minutes back into Blue Ridge to get any forgotten necessities.
My only word of advice: PLEASE REQUEST DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR TRIP. IT WILL THE PROCESS AND EXPERIENCE THAT MUCH BETTER.
