The cabin was amazing and the owners made sure we had a truly enjoyable stay. They even took us out on their pontoon boat for a ride and lunch on one of the local lakes. I highly recommend this property and wouldve given it more stars if I could've .

What wonderful place to stay, the hosts were very accomodating, checked in when power went out during a storm, and were available for any needs. They also respected privacy for me and my guests to relax and enjoy ourselves! The Cabin is very accommodating for some games and amazing porch to relax sit and watch beauty around. Easy access to the river for a lovely dip. And amazing front porch to sit around a nice fire. Also amazing grill and cook top!

A nice weekend get-a-way! We'd go again.
The good, the bad and the ugly - my honest review.
The good....
I had contacted our host a few days before check in, to see if we could leave our kayak trailer at the cabin earlier than 3:00 so that we could explore and do our food shopping before we entered the home. They were quick to reply and happy to oblige. When we checked in, I had to call to because the internet code was not what was listed in my email confirmation. She was able to give me that on the phone. It wasn't until they day we left that we realized there was a paper on the table, under some books that told us the code, and all the other things we wondered about. lol We never even looked at it because we thought it was about tourist info in the area, and we're from NC so we weren't interested in that. Before I left I put the paper on the fridge thinking it might be more easily seen by the next guests. We had a good laugh about it when we did read it though.
The house was very nice (obviously not as shiny and crisp as the pictures but we expected that with professional pictures). The master bed and guess room bed were very comfortable. We didn't use the basement. The hot tub was a great way to start and end the day, the fire pit was unique but awesome. We spent a lot of time out there. We had brought our own wood but they did provide a few logs as well. The house itself had pretty much anything you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were closets with extra toiletries, towels, etc. The grill was clean and had all the cooking utensils needed.
The bad ... We felt that the outdoor maintenance could be improved.
The pictures show a rocky entrance to the river, however they apparently old because it's now overgrown with weeds. We just thought that it could have been weed whacked prior to our arrival, for cleaner access to the river, especially during baby copperhead season. Note: we did not see any.
The ugly...
There were spider webs "everywhere". They were across the doorways, the deck slats, attached to chairs, etc. I live in the woods too and know that you clean them and they come back the next day but it was obvious that they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. We did not see any actual spiders though. You can only see the webs when the sun starts to come around mid afternoon and early evening so maybe they clean early and never even noticed them. I used the a broom to clean the ones off the doorways but didn't touch the deck. Also bees nests were everywhere too and we (and the poor humming birds) were harassed by them. Lastly, we also could tell that nobody really looks up when they clean. There were cobwebs all over the walls and corners in both bedrooms and a spider living in the corner of the spare room. You could tell that all the cobwebs had been there a long time.
In closing... we loved the cabin, and hope they will allow us to come back some day. None of my bad or ugly would keep us away. Those are easy fixes. So I encourage you to go, and enjoy! It's a very relaxing place to be. The contact people were great, and there are so many places of necessity nearby if you need them. (Walmart, Ingles, Lowes, Dollar General and more).

Beautiful Home
Home was absolutely beautiful and the location was awesome. Home is nestled perfectly between Andrews and Murphy. The sound of the river was peaceful and relaxing. Will stay again!!!
Also, if you like country cooking, be sure to go to Grandpa Charlie's Country Cookin in Andrews.

INCREDIBLE PLACE TO STAY!!!!
The cabin is truly beautiful, and had more than enough room and amenities for our stay. The location is incredible. Kayaking in and out of the cabin grounds was a great convenience. The fishing opportunities are plentiful. We’ve stayed at several different places in the Murphy/Marble area. This cabin ranks up there with the best of them. Owners were on scene and easy to deal with and friendly. Would gladly stay there again!!

Beautiful and relaxing.
The cabin is beautiful and fully equipped. We loved all the wonderful little touches. The creek was a lot of fun. My son and husband enjoyed fishing together on the creek. I enjoyed calling out to them where I could see fish from the upstairs balcony. My daughter loved sitting out on a rock in the middle of the creek. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Everything was super clean. The homeowners could not have been nicer or more helpful. Super nice people. My dad enjoyed the huge variety of birds that frequented the bird feeder. Tubing on Deep Creek, suggested by Howard, was totally worth the drive. White water rafting on the Ocoee amazing! The cabin feels out in the mountains, but is close to groceries and food. We really love Rib Country in Hayesville. Yumm!

NC Vaca 2020
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin had everything we needed and more. There were plenty of vistor information pamphlets with great local suggestions. The cabin was perfect for our family of 6. My 3 boys loved playing down stairs. The large deck and fire pit area was the perfect place to enjoy your coffee and the cool breeze.
The river was a little tricky to get into, but once you were in it was so much fun. Make sure you check out Fires Creek, only about 25 min away. There was so much to see, we will definitely be back.
