very nice hotel, I'll come again, thank you.
3.0
it’s clean and well located.
the bed is the smallest size possible to qualify as double bed. I was with my child and it was certainly too small. The mattress is old, you could feel the metal spirals on your back.
There is no staff at the hotel, so you are greeted by an iPad where it takes ages to fill in your details. If there are other people checking in get ready for a looong queue.
The place does not have place to storage luggage.
it’s not a bad place but it is definitely over priced for what it is. You are better off staying elsewhere or in Tokyo and doing a day trip to Kamakura.

Location is good.
Booking.com has a wrong description of "24hrs front desk" but when I arrived, I was surprised to find that the hotel only does self service check in. I was expecting luggage storage before check in and after check out. With the self service facilities, this becomes impossible and we had to find alternative luggage storage facilities thus additional expenses of ¥4000 !
The check in requires a passcode. Unfortunately, it was not sent to me before my arrival, neither from booking.com nor the hotel. While I called the hotel, the staff did not speak English thus could not communicate at all. It then took us a couple of hours to sort it out and checked in. It was simply terrible experience.
Complaint was then made to both the hotel and booking.com and both disclaim their responsibilities of making any compensation.

Nice and functional interior with everything one needs - we really liked the style and the simplicity. Perfect location to explore Kamakura, famous elements of the city are nearby and you can walk everywhere (to restaurants, shopping street, shrines, conbinis etc)
Overall we would come again as it is a really cool place to stay some nights. Thanks!
We don't want to decrease the "points" for it much, but it was really dusty in the room. Next to the futons in the corners next to our pillows, on top of the little shelf behind the sleeping spot, around the TV and on all cupboards and when we tried to open the window a cloud of dust fell on us, from the curtains/window bench. It should really be cleaned better, wet, not just quickly but properly. Then it would be a really perfect place. This time we took care ourselves where needed, hoping that it will improve in the future.
We never met or talked to any staff, so we cannot rate that.

The room design was excellent. The bathroom in particular was great, it had lots of soaps and toothbrushes etc. The yukata were a nice touch! There's also a storage room which we didn't need, but was a welcome feature.
Nothing, really good value for money honestly. Perhaps the futon beds aren't for everyone? I found them comfortable personally. Also, the check in is with someone over intercom (possibly overseas; their japanese had a foreign accent) which isn't a real issue, but I guess puts some people off.

Incredible location! Everything is brand new. Such a great experience.
Late a night it is a quiet street, great for sleeping. As a solo traveler you might take a cab rather than walk back to the hotel. The entry to the hotel is well lit.

there is not contact with the staff , the room from picture is very different from the real one

we can't see kamakura city from the room.

The room looked lovely. We really liked that there was a kitchen so we could warm up food for our baby.
Only improvement point could be an umbrella stand (specially in the tsuyu season).

The room was spotless and cosy, perfect location.
The check-in process is overly complicated. Booking numbers, check-in codes and passwords, at first instance it's not readily clear where and when to use each one. The final stage involves a remote call via a small one-way monitor to a call center.
The staff had me fearing I wouldn't be able to stay by asking if I had submitted a picture of my passport, stating 'it's a hotel rule'. I'm not sure she knew the reservation procedure because I wouldn't have been able to book the room if I hadn't done so well in advance. Checking in at 9pm, not having my passport with me,being made to feel like, no passport, no stay....was a bit uncomfortable.
AirBnB in Japan has a much easier and smoother check-in system.

The location is super nice
Hope that they could add more services fit for a family staying specially for the kids

My room was exceptionally clean and the hotel is really well located for public transport, shopping and tourist attractions.
The check-in process took a little bit of time but I managed it no problem as the guide that was emailed to me was very helpful.

It was super clean and the wooden walled corridors had an authentic Japanese minimalist feel to them. The TV was big, the two double beds provided ample space for two adults and a kid to sleep and the shower head had a good amount of intensity.
The electronic check in procedure was interesting but perhaps a little too hands on for the hotel guest. Also, the key system to enter certain parts of the building made things a little inconvenient. For example, if one person wanted to leave the room to buy a drink from the vending machine on the top floor or run an errand outside the hotel, they could not regain access to the floor they were staying on without the key. However, as the key turns the power on in the room, if one person takes the key, the remaining one or two people would be without power so siting in darkness an unable to use the TV. It was a minor issue but a little annoying that if one person left the room we all had to leave.

The only really good thing was the location.
I decided stay one more night (to have more time for visit temple)with just my 2 little daughters without my husband(he had to work) I asked if I have to move the room and they say yes my next room 205 will be bigger than the one I had 304, then I asked if they can storage my luggage as before my check in my luggage arrived by currier and they say no I have to checked out at 11 no early check in for next room and I have to wait for the check in time at 3 pm that was by email replied then I decide to called them and talked with the front desk but it was like talking with a robot she didn’t listen me or try she just replied what they reply me by email that’s it Even I take her I had 2 kids(5 and 6 years old)and where I supposed to wait with all luggage and my 2 little girls she just reply that I have to wait at 3 for next check in then I realize she definitely will not try to help, I asked to cancel my reservation and the front desk staff just said ok I will. Incredible no longer a good Japanese service here it is just like talking with a robot with programed information, I didn’t talked with a human it is pretty poor and sad service as a hotel staff for more than 20 years I didn’t understand how they can hold the luggage and just move it went next room was clean !!!! I use to work at the hotel with 600 rooms with 80 % of occupation and we never said not that easy we had a tried the best and never said no!!!!! Also before my arrive I send my luggage by currier and when I check in at 10 pm my luggage was at the room so how they can’t keep the luggage again and just put on the new room I don’t understand. Never will stay here again no recommend to stay here what ever problem you will have they even try to listen and help you special no recommend for family !!!!!
