Location is amazing and tranquil! We did a lot of fishing but only caught brim. This was fine, because we were basically teaching our 2-year-old grandson how to fish. Everyone agreed the beds were very comfortable, and also very noisy by all this squeaking. All but one of the beds, a set of bunk beds, for metal. There was plenty of room in the main house! Everyone loved the main bathroom and the jetted tub!
Here are a few things that need to be taken care of with a little TLC:
Had door knob in kitchen repaired, but the same issue, door knob from inside of the door kept coming off,was going on in the mountain house door. The knob keeps coming off, on the inside of the door.
Fan outside doesn't work
Citronella candles filled with oil, but do not work
Crock-Pot missing the actual pot that cooks the food in just has the shell outside piece
In desperate need of new pots and pans
Could use a colander
Could use a stock pot
My son is a licensed pest control technician, and he had to take care of all the spiders all over/under the slide. He said they need to get some peppermint oil and keep a good spray around the slide to keep away spiders.
Grill available, had propane, but starter/lighter did not work.
Overall we would come back again!
had a fish.

We had a great weekend here. The views were beautiful, had a great time swimming & fishing off the dock. The house was perfect and we enjoyed the time. Thanks!!!

Very beautiful view of Lake from the House. It is a 20 -25 minute drive to Milledgeville, but love the peaceful atmosphere of the home. The Boat Dock has an outlet so that you can charge your boat. The Boat Ramp is about 10 minutes around the Lake (Cosby's Landing), but when you get the Boat in, it is diagonal from the House.

Really enjoyed our stay and fishing trip. Found the house to be clean and tidy with everything you needed for a good time. One of the nicest things was the view off the back porch, which is spectacular! Will stay again in the future if available. Thanks again to the owners and evolve team!

Our stay was wonderful! The grounds and house and even bunkhouse were very clean and well stocked. While the exterior may be humble and rustic, the interior was beautiful! The back deck and dock are amazing! Loved the garden tub! The beds sleep so very cozy. I will certainly be staying here again.

We came on Friday and left Sunday. We really enjoyed ourselves this weekend. We fished, laughed, ate and laughed some more. Can't wait til we do it again

Main house was nice with great view. The back porch was nice however we couldn't enjoy using it because the rails are spaced so far apart the small children could fall through. The bunkhouse was disappointing. It is basically a metal shed with bunk beds, shower (very small shower), sink (seems to be about to come off the wall) , and toilet.

The humble and rustic appearance upon driving up leads to a wonderful surprise upon entry. The interior is clean well organized and spacious. Everything was well stocked. The back deck and dock are absolutely amazing! Outside of sleeping I spent all of my time on the back deck. The garden tub with jets was a wonderful bonus after hiking all day. I will certainly be staying here again.

Such a perfect getaway. Relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful. The home was very nice, everything you needed was there. Very clean. The dock was nice and we fished everyday. Good fishing. We didn't go swimming but could have. Weather was great and water was clear. We had a great time.

Pretty cool but needs little help.
The lake house was great. However the grass was not cut and the kitchen needs better cooking equipment.

Crap
Not clean when we arrived. Trash in Dumpster was over filled. Trash on entrance trash can full. No trash bags were provided. I am a VRBO user. This was the worst place I have ever rented.

NOT what it was described!
I was very mislead by the listing. My sister came in town with her kids from CT and the kids were all going to stay in the "second bedroom". Well the listing did not mention that it was a shed behind the house with bunks with no rails. Not to mention no fire extinguisher or a big enough window to escape in case of a fire. So the kids could not stay in there alone for obvious reasons stated above. That was the biggest problem I had. The inside of the main house is great and clean! Definitely NOT 1400 square feet as the posting indicates though. It had another part of the house that someone lived in. Did not say that in the listing either. The check in time stated 3pm on the listing but the Email with instructions says 4. I call Rachel (From Evolve)the contact listed, on Friday to ask if we could check in early at 3. She was rude and VERY stressed and seemed annoyed that I even called. She never responded until I text her Saturday to find out if we could come at 3pm as the listing stated but we had to wait till 4pm because she had too many houses to clean and she was the only one working this weekend. The main house was clean but the back "second bedroom" was dirty in the bathroom. With Covid 19 I would expect this to be top notch. Not to mention the price I paid. The sink looked like no one cleaned and used wash cloth hanging from the shower. When I arrived I called Rachel to see where the other bedroom was because I was confused and she was super annoyed and said she hated the way you had listed it. Not sure why it wasn't fixed if someone else noticed this as well. We worked hard to make our one vacation a year, that we saved up for to make it special for our children and create memories forever. So I wasn't going to call you and get upset about it.
There was a giant black snake 7ft that my husband had to remove from by the stairs and then the kids saw another GIANT snake by the the slide ladder on the dock. As I was looking at what we needed to do to checkout, another guest mention led this HUGE snake. I would have been fine if I was warned so the kids were not scared or worse bitten. My husband also had to remove poison ivy from the steps going down to the dock. There were fire ant hills all by the fire pit as well. The lower deck and steps were covered in mold. The slide handles are NOT secure. I paid ALOT of money to spend two nights at your place and I was VERY dissatisfied. The lawn was overgrown as well and we got chiggers.

Distance
Everything was clean and had a great time! The only thing I did not like was the distance to a store. The closest store by vehicle was 20 minute drive.
