About this campground/ rv resort rental
3 bedroom, 2 newly remodeled full bathroom mobile with our large screened in porch with "Roll down Sun Shades" for when you want to block direct sunlight and for added privacy. We have very nice "Multi Setting's Lighting" nicely hung in and around entire area of the porch for relaxing, subtle moments or just hanging out having fun. A large multi speed ceiling fan. On this porch is where you get the best view of every island "Sunset" and an open air sun deck for entertaining or just relaxing. A fire pit for good times around the fire, roasting marshmallows, smores or just getting lost by staring into the fire . A brand new(2022) large propane grill with picnic table and area for outdoor dining. Full eat in kitchen, living room with flat screen tv, DVD player etc. and only 2 blocks from bay/marina where you can drop in your kayaks, about 2-3 miles from refuge and ocean. New central air unit, comfy new beds, large yard, 3 car driveway, private property, etc. This is an ideal area for all that the island has to offer. Just far enough away for peace and quite but, close enough to all the family excitement the island has in abundance. Also, this location is far enough away from island lights in town that gazing into the night skies becomes an amazing experience with thousands of stars beyond anything you've ever seen. Stay once, you'll want to return! ** Attention:** "July is the busiest month on the entire island" due to our "Month Long Carnival" and our "World Famous", "Chincoteague Pony Swim". People come from all around the world to experience the pony swim! It's truly a magical time for all adults and especially the children to witness.

My wife, Connie, loves Chincoteague. It makes her happy to go to the beach, bike, walk, visit the shops and generally enjoy the Island. Her family used to have a vacation home there when she was a child. They went there frequently. Tim and Julie are wonderful hosts. We've stayed at their place before. The reason that I couldn’t give all 5 stars is purely due to the cleanliness or lack thereof. It is not the owners’ fault that they trusted a cleaner who never showed up, but it was so unbelievably gross. There were vapes left where my children were sleeping, sticky food and crumbs on the kitchen floor, dirty socks and soiled underwear left around the house, hair on all surfaces, crusty sand left in the tubs, and so on. There was also a faint cigarette smell inside the home. I am severely allergic to cigarettes which is why I’m so sensitive but it smelled like someone had smoked in the home in the past or a smoker who had their clothes around smoke was in the home. It was wicked gross. All in all, their cleaner absolutely scammed and took advantage of them, knowing that they live 200 miles from the property.
Other than that, despite it being a big issue, I can’t emphasize enough that it wasn’t the owners’ fault and I hope they take this as a sign to get a new cleaner!
The home owners are both very helpful, informative, and accommodating with absolutely everything and were so sympathetic and apologetic when I told them about the state of the house. They seem like good people who got taken advantage of. The homeowners are VERY kind and really want you to have the best stay ever. The home is spacious and the neighborhood is lovely and safe.

Everything was great! Tim was very friendly, approachable, available, and informative, answering many questions, including some about the best fishing setup to use and where to do some pier fishing. Beds and couches were comfy, and all the appliances were in very good condition. Neighborhood is very quiet (except for various birds sometimes.) Good spot for stargazing, no light pollution. Lawn was cut perfectly for bocce. Bedrooms at opposite ends allowed us to put morning birds on one end and night owls on the other, each end with its own bathroom, so no one woke anyone trying to sleep. Screened porch was nice, our sunset-watching days were not interrupted by bugs. The kitchen was well stocked with pans; the gas stove was working perfectly and heated things quickly. (We didn't get a chance to use the grill, it was hot out!) Furniture is attractive and sturdy. AC and hot water were 100% responsive. You feel like you're actually in a home, not just a rental. Hope to return in an upcoming summer!

Overall, the place was nice and cozy and the neighborhood was clean and quiet. However, the cleaning crew didn’t do a good job, as there were mold on the bathtub and near the kitchen sink, and sand on the bathroom floor. Microwave was greasy as well. Consider changing the housekeeping crew cus looking at other reviews as well, it seems like they are consistently failing at doing their job.

We enjoyed the easy access and location. We used the gas grill just about every day! We enjoyed evenings on the screened-in porch. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet and very relaxing. Thank you!

We booked this house because it stated that no pets were allowed, and the reviews said it was very clean. When we arrived, we found dog hair and dirt everywhere. Beds all have dog hair on them as do the showers. Communication with Tim was good as was the checkin process. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the place.

The property was everything we hoped for. Location near the marina was perfect for our fishing trip. The house was in beautiful condition and well stocked with everything we needed. We couldn't have been happier.

We rented this gem of a house to reconnect with friends whom we were unable to see much throughout the pandemic. It happened to be at a halfway point between our homes in NY and NC. We had adults, a teenager and three pre-teen children and we all greatly enjoyed our time in this home. We fit comfortably and it felt like a "home away from home." We were approximately an 8-minute drive to the main street with various shops and restaurants. It was not much further to reach the beach. And yet it was nestled into a quiet section of the island where we had peace and quiet and felt safe and comfortable. The owners are so kind and helpful and were amazing to work with from the beginning. They made the process so simple and comfortable and offered to be available if we needed anything. When we had a personal request, they responded quickly and kindly. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend this home if you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable "home base" from which to explore the area! We are hoping to more regularly see our friends and would gladly request an opportunity to stay here again if the house is available when we want to get together. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us!

The hosts were highly communicative and kind. Their instructions for the TV were helpful. Very clean and comfortable. The hot water and pressure were great. Everyone had dreams in this house — everyone slept soundly. You could hear seagulls calling in the mornings. Nice and clean when we arrived. Plenty of seating in the living room and porch. Good, effective kitchen.
Our only recommendation is to update the TV.

We had such a great time on our first trip to the island. Having a great place to stay made all the difference. The house is so warm and comfortable and the owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. We had one rainy day but loved playing board games on the screened in porch. The price was also very reasonable. I highly recommend this rental!!

"A gem by the sea"
The name says it all. This is a beautiful home. Everything was just as Tim described. The weather was awesome. We didn't need air conditioning; we opened the windows and felt the awesome breeze.
Tim and Julie are AMAZING host. I would definitely recommend this rental not just because of the price but because most importantly you can tell Tim and Julie truly want to make sure you have a great time and are very dedicated to making sure your stay is awesome.

The house is in the perfect location on the island—close enough to the action but far enough away from the chaos. Well maintained, well stocked, and the owners are excellent to work with. We had an amazing trip and would definitely stay in this house again.

Great place. Stayed with my daughter, son in law and grandson. This was my grandson’s first time to the beach. Plenty of room for us. Neighbors were super friendly. Enjoyed hanging out on screened in porch in the evening. Quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!

There were several electrical issues when we arrived and I reached out to the owner and he contacted repair staff who determined that there was an issue with the electrical box outside the trailer. They were able to replace the faulty part and the air conditioner, washer/dryer and microwave were then working. The owner offered us one night refund which was received. However, it was frustrating that the grill and dishwasher still didn’t work. The kitchen was very unorganized and cluttered. I was frustrated that I had to clean out one bathroom sink myself, there were wet dish rags in the kitchen sink when we arrived and cigarette butts in the ash tray on patio. The owner made an unusual request & asked us to check the property when we got there initially and call him to let him know the state of the trailer. It is unlikely that anyone had cleaned the trailer in between quests. Overall it’s a nice trailer but there are items that need to be fixed and if there was a cleaning crew they need to be more thorough.

We really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals at the home. We loved the screened in porch. Home is exactly as described. Tim was great, easy check in instructions. He even gave us recommendations on where to eat. We would definitely stay here again.

A homey place to stay. We spent our time on the wonderful screened in porch when we were not traveling the island. The beds were very comfortable and provided lots of dresser space. Tim checked in the second day to make sure we were happy with the place, and we knew he was a phone call away if we had a problem or question. We can't say enough about the island. Great food, friendly people, and of course the ponies. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and the only traffic is from people who live there. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Tim & Julie for sharing your home.

We had such a great stay here! Perfect for our family of 5. We were visiting for the annual pony swim which was amazing! The owners were helpful and considerate. They checked in to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. Due to Covid and state regulations, we did need to bring our own bed linens and towels. Kitchen amenities worked well for what we needed. Owners provided a starter set of TP, paper towels, dish soap, etc.

This is our second time staying in this home. The owners added a couch to the living room making it even more comfortable. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood, yet still very convenient to Main Street and restaurants, etc. The front covered porch was yet again lovely to sit out in and enjoy the beautiful day.

Cozy, Clean, and Comfortable.. home away from home!
Very well maintained and super comfy *home away from home*. Pots, pans, utensils, dishes, range, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishwasher made for easy prep of meals in the fully functional kitchen. There's even a washer and dryer! Icy cold fridge, never ending hot water, and very efficient AC, were added bonus to our comfort. Huge, illuminated, screened porch was great to enjoy the evening in the super quiet neighborhood, offering opportunity to observe some local, island wildlife (ibis & deer)! Access to town was short and convenient. Attentive and caring communication with owner, before and after visit. We appreciate your sharing of your proudly kept home, while we created happy memories with our family. Thank you so much!

Cozy, convenient home
We had a great time staying here for our beach vacation and would definitely stay here again. From the house, it was an easy 10-15 min drive onto Assateague. From this location, most things are not walkable (except an amazing sunset view!) but are an easy drive. Tim had some great “insider” tips to help us make the most of the trip.
The home was very clean had everything we needed. We didn’t cook dinners, but the kitchen did have everything needed to cook while there. The washer and dryer were also really handy, and the air conditioning works very well.
If you’re traveling with (young-ish) kids like us, this is a great house for everyone being comfortable! Our kids are still at an age where a “home away from home” is so much easier than crashing in a hotel - this was perfect for it. Everyone having their own bedroom was such a sanity-saver for us! But, it’s important to know that with the way the house is laid out, you could be challenged to hear a kid call out for you in the middle of the night. I’d recommend bringing a baby monitor if that’s something that would be important to you.

Nice vacation home in quiet neighborhood
Tim and Julie’s home was comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were nice. My favorite area was the screened porch where we could relax and have coffee in the morning. I recommend this rental for a small family looking for a reasonably priced home to stay in while in Chincoteague.

This "Gem" hasn't lost its luster!
This was our second time staying here. Last year was a great experience, and this year was equally as satisfying. Tim & Julie are owners who truly care about the well-being of their guests.
