The Casitas are a five-minute leisurely walk from Gruene Hall and other live music venues, plus endless shopping and dining options! We are located less than an hour from five of Trip Advisor's Best Vacation Spots in Texas, making the Casitas the perfect place to stay on your next trip!

Each Casita features one bedroom, a private bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a kitchenette. When you're done kicking up your heels at Gruene Hall, browsing boutiques, or floating the Guadalupe, come back to your Casita to unwind in complete comfort. All Casitas have access to a private riverfront area with a charcoal grill, fire pit, and beautiful patio areas.

My wife and I had a great experience for our 15th anniversary. We stayed in Casita 3 which is standalone from the other Casitas. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere for the duration of our weekend. Downtown Gruene is a 2 minute walk away and we found a great coffee shop (Kora Kora) about 5 minutes in the other direction. There's live music across the street and though we could hear it faintly, our white noise maker drowned it out. We didnt expect to have access to kayaks but those were available to us. The river spot really was beautiful. Though the room and livong room are cozy, there was a closet to store bags out of the way which made it feel more spacious. Definitely a place we would come back.

This place is conveniently located to all the local hotspots. We were able to walk to all of them. Our neighbors rented a golf cart, so that is also an option. The river access was the best compared to the other places along that stretch of the river. The casita was clean and cozy as well. When we come back, this is the place we would choose again!

Such a cute property! Perfect location for all the local fun, as well as hanging out by the river. 😍 The ramp treck down and up gave us a heck of a work out, but the serene river location and adorable local wildlife made it so worth it! Thanks y'all!

My friend and I stayed at the Casitas at Gruene for my 61st birthday trip! The location was wonderful! We floated the river one day, but decided to enjoy the beautiful river access that the Casitas offer the rest of the time. Just follow the winding path down to the oasis that awaits you on the river's edge! The whole set-up was perfect, complete with bbq pits, fire pits, beach chairs, floats, kayaks and so much more! Each Casita has its own wagon to help you transport all your belingings down to the water, so you can enjoy your stress free day! The Casitas at Gruene are just a short walk from downtown Gruene and close to several yummy restaurants. We had a great stay and can't wait to come back!!!

Overall great place, walking distance to Gruene Hall and short walk to the river. Very quiet and clean. The bed mattress was really soft for us and could have had more lighting in the bedroom as well as some counter space in the bathroom. Loved the location and overall quality of the room!

I booked this property for my dad and son to have a fishing day trip. The staff and hosts went above and beyond to make them feel welcome. When they arrived someone was getting their room ready and had heard they would be fishing so had brought them a bait they had good luck with! The room and access to the river was perfect and they had a great time kayaking and fishing! Thanks for a wonderful time!

My lady and I needed a short weekend getaway to break free of our long work weeks the last 2 months. We didnt want to be far from home and budget for anything outrageous with our big yearly vacation already budgeted for in a few months as a family. We needed just the weekend with comfort, live music, and food and drinks. I thought it was a bit pricey compared to a few other options I came across, but once we arrived it was noticed that it was worth EVEY PENNY. Dont worry about druving, dont worry about uber. Everything is within a comfortable distance no matter the weather. Will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our stay at The Casitas at Gruene. The casitas were near historic downtown and close to the water. The path down to the river was very easy to maneuver, however, it was a fairly steep walk down and back up so I would definitely recommend a golf cart if you have mobility issues or if not in the best of shape. The owners and staff were great and lots of friendly people in the shops and restaurants. The river was refreshing during the heat of the summer day and the historic downtown and local shops were great to walk around in the morning and evenings. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the surrounding area and if you're not adverse to a short walk, there really is no need to drive. We went during the week to avoid the crowds and it worked out very well for us.

Very cute one bedroom cottage. High end updates and decorating. Walking distance to downtown and Gruene Hall. The backyard walk down to the river was very cool. We ended up spending the afternoon just sitting river edge and enjoying.

One of the main reasons why we chose this property was because (according to the photos, etc.) it had a view of the river. The photos/explanations did not make it clear that it was a trek to get to the river (the paths were extremely steep and taxing). In fact, they were a bit scary for people over 65. This was a pricey rental for two nights, and we expected to see the river. That was a letdown, and we would look for something with direct access next time. Otherwise, the location was great, and it was a cute property. Just a few other things: at least a few bottles of water should have been provided; we don't use tap water in Keurig machines, so we had to go buy water. We normally have at least a few bottles in the refrigerator even in moderately-priced hotels. Please provide more bath gel/soap. We ran out in one day.

Very private stay at the casitas. Security a plus with security gates. Close enough to everything in Gruene to walk to. Beautiful grounds with abundant wildlife everywhere. Great location on the river and one of the best set-ups with a nice stone patio, fire pit, chairs and kajaks for the guests. We have already mentioned coming back with our friends to stay in all the casitas and just stay there at the river.

It was perfect for what we wanted it for! Proximity to Gruene Hall was what I wanted and this place is close. It was very clean, cozy, and very comfortable! You can walk down to the river and sit out by the fire pits, kayak, or enjoy the gentle flow of the rapids too if you need a break from Gruene. I’d stay again
