We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a large family gathering (22) people and had plenty of room where we didn’t feel crowded. The dock is an amazing place to relax, listen to music and swim. Highly recommend this house for any large groups looking to enjoy the water. Caution on the very steep walk to the lake. We rented a golf cart and it was the best money spent.

We had a wonderful time at this amazing home.

We had 18 guys out for an annual golf trip and this is one of the best houses we've stayed at. Great layout and everyone had their own bed. The dock was amazing and had a great speaker set up as well. If you are looking for a large space for a group gathering, this one would be hard to pass up. Great communication from the owner/property manager before and after the visit. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again next year.

It is nice place, we enjoyed are trip.fully enjoyed. I don’t have to bring nothing from my home. I cook some food but house are great & my family members love this house. We prefer some one needs to come vacation we prefer your property to rent. Me and my family members loved your property.

Great location on the lake. Plenty of room and beds for our group. Close to Camdenton for groceries, gas, etc. Some of group played golf, fished, and we enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Well furnished house. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful time! The house was the perfect size for all of us and the layout was great! The kitchen and eating area was a good size for our big group. There was plenty of space to spread out, but also good sized "common" areas so we could all be together! The only surprise was that the hill down to the lake was extremely steep! We would definitely go back!

Perfect location, perfect house set up for big family (12 adults and 10 kids). We loved the dock and luckily had a 4 wheel drive vehicle or you wouldn’t be able reach the water without walking down a very steep, precarious path. But we managed and really enjoyed our stay so much. Loved the firepit and screened in porch. The house could have been a little cleaner, and the metal bunk beds were very noisy but the wood ones were great. Kitchen was fully stocked but didn’t have very much silverware for large crowds. But honestly, none of those negative things would keep us from coming back, just nice to know before you go.

We were a group of 20+ adults visiting the Ozarks for the first time. We all loved the dock and spent most of our time enjoying the water. The hill is steep but it kept us in shape for the week! The house had plenty of sleeping and eating areas to accommodate our large group. We did run into a couple of issues but Jill at LOZ was wonderful to help resolve quickly.

We had a hadfull of managers come together for a meeting where we couldn't be distracted. I worked out great! Plenty of bedrooms and space in the kitchen and living rooms.
Thank you

Hard to review because of the dichotomy of the experience we had. Please read until the end.
The house was wonderful for our big group. Lots of large family areas and huge (if disorganized) kitchen. The pantry was large and well stocked. Most of the bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. One bedroom was actually just a closet with no window. The dock area was fantastic. We spent many hours boating and swimming at the dock. We had to bring all of our own water toys as there is nothing available at the house. The screened deck and patio were lovely and enjoyable.
There were two main drawbacks to the property. As noted by other reviewers, the hill going down to the dock is BRUTAL. Anyone with mobility or health issues will have trouble going down and up the hill. The biggest complaint we had was with the upkeep of the house. It is a pity that such a great property/house has NOT been kept up. Perhaps it was because our stay was at the end of the summer season but many places were dirty and disappointing. Major problems with cleanliness and upkeep. Some of the things we’re experienced were;
Trash under beds from previous occupants
Two TVs unusable because remotes were gone
Broken kitchen drawer
Dirty kitchen cabinets
Mouse droppings in kitchen
Mouse in master bedroom
Broken chairs downstairs
Dirty baseboards in many areas
Advertised toiletries not there
Filthy shower in master bedroom
Problems with the induction stove

Amazing property with incredible boat dock for fun water activities. We had a week of memorable times with 4 generations. Just make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for getting elderly people down to the dock and hauling some of the water toys! Beautiful views from the screened in porch.

Property was exactly as described. Plenty of space to fit our large group!
The Dock!! Perfection! Such a large space for everyone to hang out. I read other reviews about the hike up the hill and how awful it was but as to be expected for the lake! The path from the house to the dock was in fantastic condition making the walk very doable and it was a great way to get in a little cardio while consuming so many calories that weekend 😉. But if you are traveling with older adults or someone not able to make the walk there is a very convenient drive that a truck or SUV can pull up right in front of the dock.
Wonderful stay! Will be back!

We rented the "Birdshack" to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Our seven children and their families(28 people)stayed here for 4 days.
The house and dock area were way better than we expected. We found everything we needed for cooking and the wood supplied was great for making smores in the fire pit in the evenings. The dock was awesome and being able to watch TV and pipe in music was a great addition to an enjoyable time by the water. We enjoyed boating, jet skiing and fishing all day down by the water. Evenings were spent playing games and eating great food prepared by the family. Sleeping accommodations for all 28 people made for a comfortable stay. The screened in porch was nice for morning coffee and late night conversations minus the bugs. The steep paths that lead down to the dock were the only difficult trials we encountered, but we rented a golf cart for the older folks to be able to come down for the day.
Although there were minor repairs that needed to be fixed through out the house, it would not keep me from renting this home again. The manager was very helpful and informative. I would recommend anyone with a large group or family to definitley stay at the "Birdshack"!

First RENT A GOLF CART OR 2!!! It’s a game changer and makes this property even more amazing! Ours came from CR Golf Carts and I highly recommend them.
We did find upon arrival that the house wasn’t as clean as we expected and would have liked.
The house has a fantastic layout and the dock…..AMAZING!! We had so much fun listening to music and just hanging out on the dock when we weren’t on the boats or Sea-Doos that we rented. Those were rented from Montego Bay Marina which is just up the lake from the house. They were so great to work with and I also highly recommend them. Bring lots of towels but leave the paper goods at home. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper. There were 2 coffee pots, 2 refrigerators in the house, 1 in the garage, one on the dock and a gas grill in the garage. All you have to do is ENJOY yourself and your family! We will definitely be back!

We had 3 generations come for a family reunion, ages 13 to 77. We had a great week and this was a beautiful area and home. This home has great TVs (however, we looked for over an hour for the dock TV remote and finally came upon it in a kitchen drawer w/ no batteries) & a beautiful covered patio on the basement level - great fire pit with bench and view of the lake. The screened in porch was a huge hit, as we could sit out there and enjoy meals with a beautiful lake view and no bugs! The dock has a wonderful bar area, bench seating and two picnic tables, as well as space to fish off the dock.
However, we did have one massive complaint and that is access to the dock! There is a very steep concrete sidewalk that was even difficult for the teenagers to get up and down. On the opposite side, there is a very rocky, torn up, steep road. You really need to rent a golf cart to access the dock - an additional $500 added to our weekly expenses. This was not stated in advance of our rental agreement. Even with the golf cart you can only use it on the very rocky torn up dirt road and the elderly had a hard time with the bouncing. This was a big stress to our stay.
Other issues included a shortage of towels, loud/squeaky door hinges, hair in shower drain and clogged drain, “do not touch” thermostat, not enough silverware, disorganized kitchen and toaster that only halfway worked.
We would not stay here again due to the dock issue but hopefully they can improve this for future guests.

Large house with plenty of room.

We had a group of 25 stay here for a week. Everything was as described. House can handle a group of this size with ease. We spent most our time one the dock...yea all 25 of us at once. The dock can handle this group with ease also. The hike from the house to dock...is horrible, way steeper than pictures lead on. We drove up and down most of the time, you do need a truck or 4x4 to make the drive with ease. I would definitely consider staying here agian!

We booked this property for a wedding weekend with friends and family and could not have been happier with the turnout! We had our ceremony in the backyard and it was absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of entertainment for the kids and adults and everyone raved about it. We will be booking again in the future 😊

The perfect spot. So much room. Plenty of Bathrooms/Beds. A must stay at for the space for a large group/family reunion.

Our very large group was very impressed by how great the property was! Plenty of beds for everybody and never once felt cramped. Absolutely ideal place for large group and would highly recommend!

Place had all we needed and more! We were pleasantly surprised with what was provided and the property management is very thorough.

Family reunion at the lake
We had a wonderful time. It was perfect for our whole group and the dock description doesn’t do it justice! It’s perfect for all ages and spacious! Management was great, even had an AC repair needed and they had someone out right away and were very helpful and responsive!

Beautiful home, steep hike to lake
Our family (3 generations from 5 states) thoroughly enjoyed staying here! We were VERY thankful we had brought a Gator with us to transport people and supplies up and down the signficant hill. The house is clean, large, roomy and accurate to the photos. The dock area is huge - plenty of space for 2 boats, fishing and swimming all at the same time. Also, there is always a shaded section. The stairs into the lake were great for all ages. However, there are no water toys for use, nor is the ping pong table. The stovetop on the main floor is induction and having instructions would be helpful. Also, no one over 125lbs is allowed to sleep in the twin size upper bunks. This all would have been helpful to know prior to arrival.

Amazing house with lots of extras huge dock to fit big groups definitely recommend staying here

This was a great space for large family gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone. The walk/drive to the dock is quite steep, we had a SUV so we didn't have any issues going to and from the dock. We could have used a few more bath towels, and maybe a mention somewhere that the main kitchen has an induction stovetop and only certain pots and pans will work, especially when there is a second kitchen with a regular stove, and pots and pans can get mixed up when cleaning. We would stay here again.

Beautiful property and setting, with plenty of space and options for entertaining. The home could use some refreshing, but not inconsistent with pictures and description. Made for a wonderfully memorable family getaway!

Great place to stay! The house was perfect for our family ranging in ages from 2 months to 90 years. The walk getting to the dock was very steep but we rented a golf cart and it was perfect getting everyone there. The two kitchens were awesome in cooking our large family meals! The only request would be to add grab bars in the shower in the master bath for elderly guests. Otherwise great family house!

Our group of 7 families (total of 22) rented the Birdshack for a fun, relaxing getaway for 3 nights. We had a great time! The house layout was very functional with modern decor and fixtures. It was clean and well stocked for all our needs. Some of our favorite things were the stereo system that could be played throughout the house & deck, the under counter mounted ice machine, large dining tables, and overall spaciousness of the house. The walk/drive down to the dock was definitely challenging, but the dock itself was AMAZING! We LOVED the dock area and lake! The views of the lake from the house, deck, and dock were spectacular! Overall, we would highly recommend this property.

Our lifelong group of friends and their families enjoyed a week at this property. The house was beautiful, the dock was perfect. Boat, wave runner rentals very close by. Amazing time, great property. Can't wait to come back.

Loved our stay!
Yes the grae is very steep, but we solved this by renting a golf cart to transport items and people between the house and dock. Everyone loved being able to fish and swim right from the dock. Being able to keep the pontoon docked for easy access was a huge plus.
