If you’re considering renting our place in the heat of summer, please read the following before you book: House of Liebe (an 1860 historic home) gets a lot of sun in the city. We suggest keeping the blinds closed during the day, using the ceiling fans and standing fan, ensuring the vents are open, and take advantage of the supplemental A/C unit on the second floor. If you prefer a house that can be super cold like a hotel during the hottest days of July / August …. This house may not be for you. The formula for house “coolness” has always been to expect a 20° - 25° difference from the temperature outside. Read all of our reviews over 6 years and you will see that guests find our place extremely comfortable and we will be booked solid during the summer. However, I mentioned this in case guests are very sensitive to summer heat.
Important- No extra guests. Plans change ... so let us know if yours do. Please note our capacity of 6 and make sure your reservation matches the number of guests in our Rental. (This includes visitors even if they don’t spend the night.) If you need to add a guest at the last minute, please reach out to us right away. It is only $10 extra per guest beyond the first two registered. Failure to communicate with hosts about the correct number of guests will result in ALL guests being asked to leave.
Upon booking please tell us …. What brings you to Covington? Why do you wish to rent our place? Who will be joining you? How many guests? Do you have pets and if so, how many/what kind? How many cars do you need to park?

Location was decent and the place was clean not the place to stay when its hot out. It was a very hot day when we checked in and could not get the AC to work. It was 80 degrees in the house when we checked in. We could not get it cooled below 77. We did not stay and ended up leaving when we were not able to make contact witb the host.

Such an fun place! Parking is a little tight as mentioned in the listing but we made it fine even in a big truck. Loved the cute backyard & it was all our pup needed. Walkable to restaurants. Spiral staircase to bathroom may hinder those with mobility issues. Really great place!

My wife and I spent a few days in the area to take in some Reds games and see some other attractions in the area and this place was perfect for that! About 25 minute walk to GABP and only 10 minute walk to several great restaurants.
Would definitely recommend!!

We were in town for Bockfest in Cincinnati. Quick access to the Over-The-Rhein area. In addition we walked over the bridge to the Moerlein Brewery. Excellent beds and everything we needed in the kitchen. Easy checkin. Overall a great stay. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We were only able to stay one evening, but loved all of the creative details in this beautiful historic home. We were visiting for a Bengals game and tour of UC's campus. The home was so convenient for getting to all of our events ~ including an easy walk across the bridge to the game! The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed finding all of the treasures throughout, and it was fun to see my 18 year-olds playing ping-pong, mini pool, magnetic poetry, and trying out the record player upstairs. We walked to dinner on Main Street and also found a cat cafe just a half mile away :) Thank you for sharing this lovely home!

Great house, very comfortable, clean, easy walking distance to downtown Covington and Cincinnati.
We enjoyed the side yard with a view of Cincinnati, very nice at night when the city is lit up! Also nice having the yard as we brought our little dog.
We had Alexa playing our favorite music in each room. Even the gas station next to the house did not bother us at all; the fenced, side yard is a nice buffer. It was convenient to walk over and grab a drink and a snack!
Vicky was very responsive and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable.
We would definitely stay here again!

Vicky was great! I loved the home - so unique - the house was very close to everything. We went to the Bengles game and it was an easy 30 minute walk. The only draw back was our neighbors who started to party each night at 12:30am. Thank you, Vicky for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This house was very clean and had plenty of room for us. The house is an old house with a lot of character and nostalgic touches but still has modern features.. we were very comfortable there and it was a great base to use for doing things in Cincinnati and Covington. Very accommodating hosts!

This is the 2nd stay at this property and the 3rd stay at a property from this host. We absolutely LOVE this place and location. We WALKED to get pizza which is a huge plus for us. The house is comfy and the yard is great for the kids hanging out. Plus my 12 y/o left her phone when we checked out and when we went back Vicky was SO KIND and helped us find it! Would 1000% book with this host again!!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. From the quirky patio, to the tall ceilings, to the gorgeous wooden floors, to the personality of the overall living space. We just stayed overnight to attend a concert, but I wish we could have stayed longer. There was just so much detail that went into everything. The beds were also extremely comfortable!! That was a huge bonus for us. Overall loved our stay, and if we are ever in the area again, this is definitely where we will be staying!

The place was so beautiful & the freshness smell of the place was great. I loved the stairs and the downstairs bedroom. Along with the decorations and the full size connect 4 was fun to play. The only negative thing I could say that I didn’t like was that the air conditioner upstairs is attached to the wall. The owner messaged me About why there was water on the floor and leaking down the walls.
I got blamed for the low maintenance. I googled this type of air conditioner and your supposed to empty the condensation pan regularly. I stayed for maybe a total of 12 hours. It was a hectic day with my family they can’t seem to get along so I left in a rush.
So I know 100% the air conditioner wasn’t my fault.
Secondly, my brother has ADHD terribly. He literally likes to touch every single thing it drives me crazy at times, but he can’t help it.
I think the owner was upset that the remotes weren’t in the exact same spot as he/she left them. It was hard enough for me to figure out how things went even though I tried.
Other than that it was a beautiful stay. If you stay make sure you put the remotes in the correct spot when you leave and make sure the coffee pot is in the same spot when you leave. If you notice anything damaged when you arrive make sure to let him/her know before you even stay.
There is also cameras in the front and the back patio. I just felt like someone was watching me 24/7 when I went out to smoke, I don’t like that feeling. Just a heads up!
I also left my $100 Bluetooth speaker and told the owner they could keep it because the water leaked down the the next floor and on the walls from what the picture looked like that was sent to me. I felt bad, but I couldn’t help it. I also asked if there was anything I could do to help, I didn’t get a reply.
I always try to make things right even if I felt as if it wasn’t my fault.
