This home accommodated my family of six perfectly. We were in town to enjoy the relaxing foothills and company of each other and explore Lake Jocassee.

We loved the home. It was very well laid out and comfortable. They had everything we needed. The hot tub was a plus, we enjoyed it every evening. The location was great and the property was so peaceful. We highly recommend this lovely home for any family vacation where you want to be close to a lake.

The property was great! The 2nd bathroom is only really a bathtub so just be aware. The beds were all comfortable. The house was pretty well stocked.

This was a perfect location for the mountains. Not far from a city, close to great waterfall hiking! Wish we stayed longer to enjoy it more!

Property as described. Really open home with lots of free space. Selling points are the great outdoor kitchen and covered space and the proximity to many great spots. But you won’t get that “in the mountains feel” due to it not being that high up and close to the highway. But you can quickly get to those great hikes, grocery, etc. Only oddity is that it has one ‘real’ shower attached to the master bedroom. So be willing to share if that is a necessity. Scott is a great host, very responsive and contacted us ahead of time to report a repair that needed to be done to the home but did not affect our stay. Will hopefully be able to return in the future.

This property was perfect for our visit. Pet friendly and for our needs perfect size and amenities. The pole barn patio and outdoor kitchen was a hit with our family. Will for sure stay here again next time we head to Pickens! Thank you.

We were in town for our son’s wedding so this place will always hold great memories for us. The place was a great size and the out door space was awesome. I love the openness of the kitchen area. The owner and manager were extremely attentive and responded quickly!
The negatives were the house has a very poor odor when you first come in, the place was a little dirty (dirty tables), backyard was in need of a weed walker, and even though there’s 2 bathrooms there is only one shower.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. We relaxed in the hot tub and had a fire in the outside pit, played cards, grilled up food on the outdoor kitchen, and explored a couple waterfalls around the area. Would go back and stay again!

We truly loved our weekend getaway to this house! It was absolutely beautiful, even more than the pictures could show. We loved all the details that were put into this home. My oldest enjoyed playing the piano, while my younger two children loved the hot tub! We did a little exploring and found the perfect spot to capture some amazing star pictures! The outdoor grill was awesome, and we enjoyed a night around the fire pit too! The location was perfect for our visits to Clemson University and The Pretty Place. Thank you so much for allowing us to use to you beautiful home!

Just remote enough to feel removed, but still within 20 minutes of necessities.

We came to the area to visit family and attend a wedding. The location was perfect, and out of the way quiet. We had no issues checking in or out, or with the property. We will definitely come back in the future.

We try to take our blue heeler hiking in the mountains a couple of times a year. This place met all our needs and wants. We hiked at Table Rock State Park. Enjoyed the outdoor seating for dinner, the hot tub was what was needed after hiking over 7 miles. The place was furnished with everything one needs and they do not skimp on bath towels and dish towels . We would definitely recommend staying here and hope we can stay again soon.

The huge outdoor living space was amazing especially on a rainy weekend. The house was well stocked with any kitchen items you may need, linens, etc. The location is secluded in the trees just off a main highway that is in close proximity to the nearby lakes. An amazing stay for a trip to Lake Jocassee!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed. It was a very relaxing and private location. We enjoyed the screened in hot tub and the outdoor kitchen.

I love the privacy of this home! It has plenty of room for family to get away and enjoy nature. We took advantage of the local trails and overlooks. The home is beautiful but unfortunately it was not cleaned properly at all. I had to re-clean the bathrooms along with changing the shower curtain( it had mildew build up). The fridge needs to be cleaned along with the hot tub, which we didn't get a chance to use due to it not being cleaned we could see hair and what appears to be dead skin 😵💫. However, with the right cleaning crew this home is a perfect getaway.

Great weekend in Sunset
We had a great weekend staying at the Sunset property. The house kitchen is fully equipped to cook there. The outdoor grill is nice and the fire pit and hot tub made the weekend really fun. The owners have done a great job at making sure that everything is included for a nice stay.
There are not many restaurant options in the area, nor grocery stores, so plan accordingly.
The house is close to many attractions in the mountains of SC.
Definitely a place we would return to in the future.

Perfect family house!
The house was clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with kitchen utensils and standard appliances, plus washer/dryer, hot tub, grill, and even a crib! It was very convenient not to have to worry about where our baby would sleep or bring a pack N play. We had no issues during our stay and would definitely return to the house if we're in the area again.

What a great set up, the kids loved it. They went right in an claimed the bunk beds. The hot tub was nice to relax in after long days of walking land. The outdoor grill area was so nice, especially since it rained a bit. definitely going to do something like this in my next house! We even snuck in a campfire and s’more time with the kids.

Adorable Cottage
Super cute cabin, loved the remote location! Plenty of towels and linens. The cabin was very clean, and we loved using the wood burning fireplace. The hot tub was a dream! The kitchen was stocked and also large, which was great because 5 people cooking in the kitchen can be a lot but we had plenty of room. Communication was top notch! Would love to see more rugs and blankets to give it that extra cozy feel of a luxury cabin. Also, there were only two mirrors, in the bathrooms, which could be an issue with everyone trying to get ready at the same time. Overall it was a fabulous weekend!

Secluded with lots of room to roam
This a beautiful, clean cabin with all the amenities you could want and 60+ acres to play on. Very private.
We slept in the master bedroom, which has a bamboo brand mattress that we found very comfortable.
The kitchen setup great. It is well organized and stocked with every appliance you could imagine, including a crockpot!
We enjoyed the fire pit and grill/ patio area and spent a great deal of time outside taking in nature and the serenity of it all.
Look up at the night sky! You will be awed by the number of stars you see!
And don’t forget the hot tub. Nice to have a soak after hiking.
Plan on a return trip.

Great Fall Break
The house and surrounding property were wonderful for our fall break getaway. We enjoyed the space to hike, play ad let the dog run. The kitchen was the nicest, well stocked kitchen we have ever had during one of our rental stays. Table Rock State Park and Lake Jaccossee should not be missed.

Wonderful place for relaxing with family. Sm
The place is beautiful! Lovely spot with multiple areas to be together or to wander off in one of the sweet nooks with a book or your thoughts. That outside area is amazing complete with an outdoor kitchen. Long Shoals is a magical spot to visit while there. Just a few minutes away and it is wonderful. Our Hostess, Stacey was so accommodating and friendly. You won’t be disappointed

Secluded getaway
This was a great property for us to bring our two dogs. There is no one within eyesight of the property, so they could roam freely. It is pretty close to great hikes and the lake for day trips.

Peaceful Retreat
We enjoyed this cabin so much! Each couple had their own bedroom and lots of space to spread out. We particularly enjoyed the pavilion. We spent most of our evenings outside playing corn hole and just sitting around and talking. Our dogs loved it too! They had so much room to play!

Everything was great and well equipped. I would recommend installing a shower in the main bathroom. One “real” shower fir 6 people was doable but a rather difficult. Other than that, this location and its amenties were fantastic

Fall Retreat
The house is close to several good hiking trails and sits on a nice piece of land. The house itself was well appointed with what you need to cook and hang out. Fairly isolated in terms of restaurants, but that was not important to us. Owner was friendly and quick to answers questions. Bed was very comfortable.

Great cabin, small issues
The cabin was absolutely beautiful and secluded which was what we wanted. It was close to some of the best views (Caesar’s Head State Park, Bald Rock Park ,etc). However, we noticed that the cleaning prior to our arrival had missed several things. There was dirt in the bottom of the freezer and someone else’s open ice, dried sushi/juices and used chopsticks on the cutting board, open food left from previous guests in the cabinets, and a dried spill underneath the loveseat where someone had knocked a drink on the floor with the coaster left underneath. The jacuzzi also stopped working the first night we were there, but the owner was very nice about it and gave us a small discount. I had hoped Stacey, the first point of contact, would send the cleaning crew back out when we informed her of the messes left behind, especially with COVID protocol, but we ended up cleaning them ourselves. Overall though, it is a great cabin, would just recommend that it be cleaned more thoroughly between each use.

Rented mid week and was a very nice get away. Hot tub was nicely setup with a sitting area and plenty of room as well. Outside kitchen was nice to use for a changeup in dinner as well as the inside kitchen had everything you would need. Our only regret is not bringing more family members to enjoy this place since it was plenty big enough for several couples.Grocery stores, a brewery or two and a couple parks / hiking trails are close by as well.
