We had a good stay. The location is peaceful and quiet. Great for relaxing and taking strolls on the beach and the neighborhood. I am growing a fondness for this area of the Oregon coast. No whales this time around.
We had a great meal at Jakes Bistro In Newport and got a piece of original local photography from a local Waldport shop.

This is the second stay here for me with 2 sets of guests. Love this little cottage. Best value of any vacation rentals I looked over. I will come again. ♥️

House was great and exceeded expectations. Very clean and many rooms looked recently remodeled. Easy to get to. Great spot for a weekend at the central coast.

We had such a wonderful Christmas with my family! My mom lives right up the road and being able to have her over for Christmas was so fantastic! She was diagnosed with cancer and in the middle of treatments, so I knew she needed to stay close to home, but wanted to make it special for her. I was able to cook and feed her, my stepdad, my daughter and her partner, my son, my partner and myself! I'm lucky everyone could make it over for a day so she could have a nice holiday! We stayed 4 nights and I had mom over every day. It's definitely a Christmas she won't forget!
We don't ever get to go places because our 2 dogs, but here they had a nice gated yard to stay in, and there was plenty of room for all of us! Everything I needed for a big Christmas dinner was iwas in the kitchen, luckily even things I forgot to bring! It was clean and cozy, and my only complaint would be the sheer curtains in the living room, as you can see in at night. (I have some personal issues with this.) But I just put a blanket up so I felt comfortable!
We definitely will be back, and I can't wait!

We had a fantastic time! My mom lives just up the road and visited each day, and both of my kids came over for a family Christmas get together! I had everything I needed to prepare a nice meal, and everyone got to be together and open presents and visit in a nice comfortable house! We hadn't done that for awhile! It was very comfortable, with my only problem being the sheer curtains in the front room and back sliding glass door. And only because when it gets dark people can see right through the them. I like privacy, so we hung a blanket up and it was fine. The first night was so windy, when I let my dogs out in the awesomely secure backyard, I couldn't figure out how the heck they got out until the next day when I realized the wind blew the gate off it's hinges! It was a quick fix for my carpenter partner, though! Just a weird fluke! Typical for my life! Lol
I can't wait to go back! It's perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs, and easily 4 more people to comfortably sleep, and have a dinner for 8!
My partner appreciated all the channel choices, and watched a few movies and a couple football games. (Go Ducks!)
I recommend this to anyone wanting an affordable place to stay, just a walk, skip and a jump from a beautiful beach! Great place for little kids, too! I wanted to fly one of the kites but it was too rainy!:)

We arrived at the property and found the property manager still on site. She gave us a complete tour of the property and made sure we had her contact info. The house is dated but the owners are updating it. It was a good fit for our small party of 6. The house was generally well stocked. We would stay here again.

Will be back!
First time staying in Waldport. Loved it.
Need to remove the old key holder or make it clear that it is no longer in use. The numbers on the door key pad don't lite up until you start pushing the key pad. Or include it in the instructions that the number pad is on the door handle.
The fenced in area with a privacy fence for the pet that has been recently added is a great addition.

Very charming comfortable home
We loved this house for our quick beach getaway! Cute, comfortable, clean, great location and the back porch was great, right on the canal. Big bonus was the fenced backyard area. Great for our dog! A short walk to both the bridge as well as the beach!
We absolutely loved this house and will most definitely stay here again!

Lovely
Great little location with beach access within walking distance (around .5 miles). Very clean and comfy beds. Very easy to communicate with the owner, only issue is very little phone reception (we have Verizon). Overall great place to stay! Worth staying again!

Serenity
Great little house for the three of us. Close to everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood.

Nice
The property was very nice and had everything we could possibly need. The .3 miles to the beach is the miles to the access point. It's probably another .25 miles to the water. It's a nice beach, but has deep sand making it difficult to walk until you're up to the water. Being close to the beach was one of the reasons we chose the property, but we ended up only going to the local beach one time because of having to walk so far in deep sand (my husband has bad knees and I have arthritis in my hips). Overall I would stay again.

Topical beach house
Had a good stay. Several things could be improved to make the stay better. Cupboard hinges need to be adjusted for door closure. Mattress in the north bedroom needs more support so you don't feel like you are going to fall through. The bathtub drains very slowly. The curtain rod in the living room needs maintenance.

Very comfortable home... nice ocean breeze, sun on deck.
Back deck overlooked water way with ducks which recently had ducklings... Home had everything we needed.

Enjoyed our time sitting on deck by canal watching wildlife. Rental was nice and close to every place we wanted to visit

Lovely spot, could be much better
This is a darling little cottage within walking distance to the beach. I have no complaints about the cottage layout or location. the furniture in the living room is way past its prime as far as being comfortable to sit on and the bed in the front bedroom left much to be desired. Worst of all, we found several pieces of broken glass on the floor in the living room, one of them we found when it cut the bottom of my daughters foot. I don't understand how this could happen if the cottage had been properly cleaned. We were traveling with a senior dog and a brand new puppy, luckily, they were not injured. The other upsetting thing was finding what was clearly a prescription pill on the kitchen table. this tells me the table cloth was not even shaken out, much less changed. In these times of Covid, cleanliness issues are worrisome, at best. I hope something can be done about these issues for further guests. We will not be returning.

Good

This house needs a 100% home inspection because of all the issues.
The following are problems we incounterd: TV did not work, lacked hdmi cords, WiFi password is wrong, oven had a film of some sort was unusable, breaker issue in the living room kept going off, garage light was out, tripping hazard in one bedroom covered with a throw rug which caused my sister to take a serious fall, sounded like a bird was caught in the attic and other small issues.
What was most troubling was your contact person whom I called twice and left voice mails and e-mailed FAILED to respond. Most our time was spent with a relative at his house down the street. Because of all the problems the house had I feel a credit off my credit card is due. Let’s see if I get anyone to respond this time.

family beach getaway
PROS: Nice, quiet neighborhood with an easy drive/walk to beach access. Beach was beautiful. Nice sunny deck on back of house. Pet friendly. Kitchen utensils stocked adequately, bring your own staples. Hose in back which was convenient to wash off sand. Plenty of towels and hot water for showers.
CONS: Only seating for 4 in family room and dining areas whereas it sleeps 6. House had a musty , old carpet smell. Dishwasher and Refrigerator leaked, we had to mop up water 3 times. No hand soap in bathroom or kitchen, luckily I brought my own! Could have used more toilet paper as we ran out. Bunk beds and bed in one bedroom uncomfortable!
